I highly recommend Nottinghamshire golf and Country Club, Me and my Husband got married here in August 2019 and it was a wonderful day thanks to the Nottinghamshire wedding team. They made sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day, they were very friendly and helpful from when we put our first deposit down right through to our big day.
The Nottinghamshire wedding venue is a beautiful modern room with a balcony that has a fantastic view of the golf course. They also have a hotel for your guests to stay in if they didn't fancy getting a taxi home.
The food we had on our wedding was out of this world, we even had some of our guest telling us how much they enjoyed it.
If we was to do our wedding all over again without a doubt we would book the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club.

So - November 2017, we got engaged and by December 2017 we had booked the Nottinghamshire!! We just knew after only visiting one other venue and the Nottinghamshire that this was our dream venue! We could decorate it how we wanted, spice it up and certainly put our own touch on it!

We loved all the staff, which were incredible on the day and most importantly THE BEST Wedding planner Claire! We cannot thank you enough for having us at your beautiful venue and thank you for helping plan our big day!

Our photos and videos have been incredible all thanks to the beautiful grounds of the Nottinghamshire! I am trying to even get the husband to re do everything on our 1st anniversary but that isn’t going down well! (haha!!)

Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything Claire, you REALLY ARE the Queen of weddings!!

From the beginning, right to the end, we can't thank The Nottinghamshire enough for hosting our perfect day!

We had meetings before our wedding and Claire walked us through all the details. Where we wanted to do our own things, Claire was more than happy to accommodate.

On the day, Claire and the team made sure that everything ran smoothly so we didn't need to worry or panic about anything. They worked with all our different suppliers to make sure everything was on time and as we wanted.

Having the hotel on-site was super useful as we had a lot of guests travelling to us. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious.

It was just the most amazing day and we are so glad that we chose to get married at The Nottinghamshire!

The biggest compliment we can pay Claire and the team at The Nottinghamshire is that the only thing we knew when we began to plan our wedding is that we didn’t want to get married at a golf course! So when we went to a wedding fair there to meet suppliers it was a complete surprise to be blown away by the venue.

We loved how the ceremony room and bar were self-contained and for our exclusive use on the day of our wedding. There was plenty of accommodation which was another requirement.

When we spoke to Claire and she explained all the details we were so impressed with her and her team.

As it was the first venue we’d seen we went and visited three or four more but nowhere else came close.

The regular meetings during the planning stages were so helpful and made it all the more exciting and Claire’s experience meant that she gave us lots of little hints and tips which helped the day run so smoothly. We had so many compliments from our guests, particularly on the food, with many saying it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. We cannot thank Claire and her team enough for helping us create such amazing memories of a very special day.

We visited many venues but none of them have a planner like yourself! From the day we first had a meeting with you right through to the day of our wedding you were amazing! You were free to answer any queries day or night no matter how big or small. You even visited me on the morning of my big day and helped my sister carry my dress to the bridal suite. We know our day would not of been the same without you keeping it all organised! I never stressed once about anything in the venue such as my suppliers as I knew you always had it under control and would never let it be anything other than perfect. I miss our emails and meetings but I will he nipping in to see you! Claire you are amazing and I can’t thank you enough!

The food was out of this world. Everyone said how delicious it was and the portions were generous. The buffet was delicious. The staff was brilliant, friendly and always available if you needed someone. The venue is absolutely stunning! The views, the decor...it’s all beautiful and everyone said so. I couldn’t of wished for anything better.

Overall we couldn’t fault a single thing! People always recommended the Nottinghamshire aswell as Claire and it really was perfect...all I will do forever more is recommend this place.

As soon as we visited The Nottinghamshire, we knew this was the perfect venue for us! Our whole wedding experience was made so easy and enjoyable due to the excellent staff. Claire in particular was an angel! Nothing was too much trouble for her; from our wedding car getting lost and nearly driving onto the golf course!!! To finding me some flip flops when my feet were so tired from all the dancing!

The Nottinghamshire has the most beautiful surroundings for pictures and the venue has a veranda wrapped around it giving you the option to sit outside in the sun if you are lucky enough to have weather like we did!

The food was faultless, served immaculately with generous portion sizes, and the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful.

Overall our wedding experience at the Nottinghamshire was PERFECT and if we could do it all again, we would do so in a heart beat!

Me and my wife had our wedding at the amazing and beautiful Nottinghamshire on the 23rd of June, we had a fantastic wedding planner called Claire Simpson. It was a daunting thing for me and my wife as we are a young couple that got married but thanks to Claire she made us feel like that didn’t matter and made us enjoy every moment of planning our wedding. She was also always on hand to help with any questions we had. The venue it’s self was outstanding – it was everything and more - we couldn’t of asked for anything better. They were very accommodating in regards to food as my wife is a fussy eater but for the Nottinghamshire that wasn’t an issue. The locations you are taken to for your pictures are unreal and allow you to get some beautiful photos of your big day.
Just want to say a massive thank you to Claire and the team at the Nottinghamshire for making my wedding day so special.

The Nottinghamshire, well what can I say…… amazing! Claire is THE best at what she does and with a fantastic team behind her our day was very special and not stressful at all!! Everything was delivered as discussed! All I can really say is…… if anyone’s looking for a venue for an occasion this one is lovely!

The minute we drove up to The Nottinghamshire and stepped inside the building we knew instantly that this was the Venue we wanted to celebrate the most important day of our lives. We fell in love with the beautiful surroundings and the modern venue feel.
Once we met Claire it was cemented and there was no where else we would have wanted to have our wedding. Claire has such a friendly and professional approach that made us feel extremely welcome and able to ask all the questions we had on our long list. No request was ever to much for Claire or the rest of the staff at the Nottinghamshire. We had the most amazing and relaxed 18 months planning our wedding because of how we were treated by Claire at the Nottinghamshire and nothing was ever to much with extremely rapid responses to all of our questions and queries.

When the day of our wedding came all the staff working that day, well all weekend in fact were amazing. They did everything to not only make sure that we had everything that we needed but that all of our family and friends did as well. We felt like the most important people in the building because of the way we were treated. The food was amazing and we heard so many compliments not only about this but about the venue itself from our guests, many of whom had never been there.

We cannot thank Claire and the staff enough for the most amazing day and the biggest party we will ever have. We all laughed and smiled all day and it was everything we could ever have dreamt of.

From the moment we looked around and booked the Nottinghamshire you were incredibly helpful - you listened to what we wanted from our day and made sure it was perfect for us from beginning to end.

The food and service was exceptional. We had many positive comments from our guests especially the attention to detail and that the staff were extremely helpful and polite at all times.

Our day was relaxed and fun and the room was full of love. You even got the sun to shine just when we needed it to!

Well what can I say, The Nottinghamshire is simply a stunning venue, this was the only venue me and my husband looked at, we didn't need to look elsewhere, it was exactly what I was looking for, and Claire made the decision so much easier.

From day one, Claire was extremely helpful and so friendly, she is exactly what you would expect from an event coordinator - My photographer has worked with Claire before and he agreed that she is best he has come across, she works so hard and is there right from the beginning to the end.

This really was the best day of my life, and everyone who attend our wedding fully enjoyed themselves and complimented that our wedding was the best they had been to, and I put this down to the beautiful surrounding, the delicious food, all the staff (Especially Claire) and the singing waiter I had booked (highly recommend!)

When we explained that we wanted to include some Caribbean Cuisine as part of our plans for our day and every aspect of it and our other wishes were met with such warmth, cooperation and willingness to please, we knew that there was absolutely no need to look elsewhere. The Events Team immediately made us feel that we were in the safest of hands.

The whole of our wedding experience at the Nottinghamshire was first class. We could not have picked a better venue or team to be responsible for our special day! Our experience was amazing and wonderful throughout - from the first impression at the wedding fair, to our check out the day after our wedding reception in September 2019.

When Claire graciously and kindly assumed the role of our Wedding Coordinator, we knew that in her we would have not only an excellent Wedding Coordinator but a friend and wedding team member who would be with us every step of the way to watch our backs and help make our day perfect. We felt that we would be much more able to enjoy the day knowing that she would be right there with and for us - and she was.

Claire was quite simply awesome - kind, generous, organised, hard working, intelligent, reliable, efficient and effective, simply excellent at what she does: perfect for her chosen career. The planning meetings were so organised and effective that it often felt as though she had somehow read our minds as to exactly what we needed to cover or to know. Nothing was ever too much and every wish was met with an “ Of course we can” attitude.

I wanted to contact you to let you know what a fantastic day we had at our wedding. We quickly realised The Nottinghamshire was the venue we wanted and when Claire took our Wedding on, we were immediately struck by her professionalism, confident approach to our day and friendly manner. She felt like a friend from the start. Having never organised anything bigger than a BBQ we were daunted by the task of a 120 guest wedding.

From start to finish nothing was too much trouble but if an immediate answer couldn't be given they got back to us within days and the answer was always yes!! She took a lot of strain and worry away from us so all we had to do was turn up and say ‘I do!’ The late guest changes were no problem and the vegan and allergy dietary requirements were dealt with without a second thought.

I couldn't recommend The Nottinghamshire as a wedding venue enough, but i would tell them to insist on having Claire Simpson as the wedding coordinator.

Hope the Gin Bar we asked for was a success as it went down well with our guests. The service staff and bar staff were polite and friendly and plenty of them (nothing worse than not being able to get a beer!) Once again Claire thank you so much for being YOU and making our day run like clockwork.

What set The Nottinghamshire apart? The room, the location, the views, and the staff, it was all set for what would be and was an absolute amazing day.
In a word, Wow, sums it up in all honesty, we had the most amazing day that could be had, to make dreams like this is near impossible, but for the team @ the Nottinghamshire, and Claire in particular, it outlived our high expectations.
From the amazing BBQ food, that was to die for, and the finger buffet at night, that went down a treat with everyone, the day was the dream I hoped it would be and more, Claire had the day ran like clockwork, which was my biggest fear, always in contact pre wedding for a chat, advice nothing was ever too much for her but on the day, this is where Claire comes into her own, nothing is/was too much trouble, she had everything running like clockwork, even the handover in the evening to Aussie, who is a star couldn’t have ran any smoother, the pair of them kept my little wedding day surprises quite, and had everyone in the right time at the right place.
Short notice was given by us (me), but Claire took everything in her stride, and kept the more hectic me, calm and she had it all under control, which trust me, you need as wedding planning is very stressful, just let Claire take that away.
The Bridal suite was amazing, along with the rest of the hotel, as we stayed the night before too….. and I recommend the breakfast ?



To say you make friends for life for somebody with somebody that makes your special day magical, I’d like to think that we’d always have friendship with Claire.

From the very first viewing Claire was welcoming and put us at ease and we instantly knew that we were in safe hands.

On the day everything ran smoothly .... Claire made me feel calm (even when I was running slightly late) and was with us every step. The food was delicious and the amount of comments we got complementing the staff on the day was a credit to the Nottinghamshire.

For us it was important for friends and family to be able to stay over at the venue ... the residence boutique was perfect for this and we near enough took over the hotel.

The Nottinghamshire is certainly a beautiful setting which provided us with amazing photo opportunities and will not disappoint.
