Best day ever
Honestly as someone who was more ancious than excited about getting married, Jon and the team at Jolly Gardeners absolutely made the day. As soon as we arrived I knew we could finally relax and enjoy ourselves, which we very much did! All of our friends and family said how beautiful the pub was, that the staff were amazing and that the food was INCREDIBLE! Honestly couldn't be more happy to have picked somewhere that we can pop back into for lunch or dinner, it really was amazing. Wouldn't have a shadow of a doubt about recommending here if having a lovely afternoon at the pub after your ceremony is what you're after. -

Could not be better
We really could not have had a better wedding reception at the Jolly Gardeners. The planning process with Jon was completely effortless - he was incredibly flexible and accommodating of our ideas in the few places where we had them, incredibly patient with our lack of decisiveness/ideas on most other aspects of the day and, based on the number of early morning/late night emails, clearly works incredibly hard to make everything come together.
On the day the whole team, lead by Nicholas, were just excellent - so many of our guests commented on how brilliant the service was. We were particularly pleased that Umberto made efforts to identify the guests we had with difficult dietary requirements during the drinks reception and present them with their own small plate of tailored canapés. The food and the cocktails were absolutely delicious, the staff were great at circulating with top ups, they turned the room around between the wedding breakfast and the band very quickly and discreetly and had everything packed up neatly and ready for us to take the next morning (along with a very welcome Bloody Mary!). Thank you so much! -

The perfect wedding
The wedding went absolutely perfect, from the moment we started the journey of organising to the end of the actual wedding day was fault less. These guys made it so easy, they were so accommodating. Value from money by a long distance, ambience perfect, service impeccable and the food was by far the best wedding food I have ever eaten ( and I have been to a few weddings). This place is a special venue run by the most amazing people. Thanks again for making us and our guest truly happy. Perfection -

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding reception.
From the very beginning, the entire experience was defined by care, creativity, and genuine professionalism, and it truly made our day unforgettable.
The venue itself looked absolutely incredible on the day. The recommendation to work with Polly for the flowers was spot on—the space was transformed beautifully and created such a special atmosphere from the moment our guests arrived.
The food was a real highlight. The Beef Feather Blade and Cod Fillet were universally loved, and the Lambeth Mess was the perfect finishing touch. A huge thank you to Dan and the kitchen team for delivering such an outstanding and memorable meal. And we loved the late night hot-dogs!
Equally, the cocktails were fantastic—our guests were raving about the Spiced Margarita, Gin Garden, and Espresso Martini. Many thanks to Nick and the bar team for making this such a standout part of the celebration.
What really made the day exceptional, though, was the service. Umberto and the wider team were warm, attentive, and completely seamless throughout. Everything felt effortless, which allowed us (and our guests) to truly relax and enjoy every moment.
The flow of the day was also perfect—from arrival drinks, through dinner, and into the evening entertainment.
We also really appreciated how accommodating the venue was for guests with babies and toddlers—the courtyard was such a bonus and made the day feel inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
A very special thank you to Jonathan, whose guidance from day one was invaluable. From tastings and thoughtful recommendations, to shaping the flow of the day and ensuring everything ran smoothly, his experience and calm approach made the entire planning process feel collaborative and enjoyable. We felt supported every step of the way.
We’re so grateful to the whole team for creating such a joyful, relaxed, and memorable celebration.
We would recommend this venue without hesitation and will be singing their praises for years to come. -

We cannot thank the whole team at jolly gardeners enough, they gave us truly the most perfect day and honestly wouldn’t change anything.
From the beginning, we hadn’t seen the venue previously but after meeting Jon there for the first time we immediately knew this was where we wanted to have our wedding. Both super professional and knowledgeable whilst also being such lovely people.
On the day everything the pub was transformed and the day went so smoothly, every guest was catered for and happy and the space worked amazingly well for the black tie cocktail and canapé theme. We loved how the space just transformed into what we wanted whilst also being a fab pub on another day.
Can’t recommend them highly enough! We’ll be back any time we can to relive the memories x

We could NOT have had a better day!!
From the very first meeting with Jon we absolutely knew we were in good hands. Jon is truely a professional and knows exactly what was needed every step of the way. His communication with us was incredible and it really felt like he was doing everything he could to make the day exactly as we wanted. He was incredibly laid back which made the whole planning process feel like an absolute breeze. He (and the chef) were also flexible with our requests in making alternations to some of the food choices. We made multiple visits to the pub prior to the wedding and every single member of staff was always so helpful and friendly.
On the day the whole team at the Jollys were fantastic and friendly and the service was so slick and amazing! Everything was served with a smile and guests commented on the excellent service. Throughout the day every single thing went exactly to plan and this was all down to the Jollys team for their hard work.
We have had so many people tell us how good the food was and that for most, it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding. They catered for any dietary requirements with no problems. Jon even got our favourite beer and cider on the taps!!
The venue itself looked absolutely incredible, the team accommodated our personalised neon sign and get book hung on the wall.
Finally after the swiftest table clearance I have ever witnessed, the pub was completely flipped from a beautiful sit down meal to a venue that was well and truly ready for the party. The espresso martinis were delicious, the music was loud and we didn’t stop dancing for the whole evening.
We cannot say thank you enough to the whole team at the Jollys. We have had people telling us it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and we think this is down to the hard work of Jon and the team. Thank you so much again - wish we could do it all over!!

We really wanted a fun pub wedding, and the Jolly Gardeners really helped deliver this and then some. Jon made the whole process really easy for us, and accommodated every request we sent his way to give it the personal touch we wanted. We even arrived early on the day and the staff kicked off the drinks reception and canapes for us no problem. The food was absolutely delicious, which is very important for a wedding, followed then by a party, with a large dancefloor due to the size and layout of the pub accommodating for this. We would really recommend this venue to anyone wanting a fun wedding, they really know what they're doing!
