If you’re dreaming of getting closer to nature on your big day in West Sussex, then you can’t go wrong with this picturesque wedding venue. Offering a beautiful setting, you can personalise this idyllic space and transform it to suit your needs.
The Hyde Estate invites a small number of couples each year to host a lakeside wedding reception between the months of May to September. This exclusive venue boasts an enchanting wild garden set deep in the middle of 850 acres of tranquil woods and countryside.
The Estate has been home to the same family for a hundred years. They have loved and managed the woodlands, farm, lakes and 19th century house, and planted the Wild Garden with its stunning carpets of spring flowers, huge redwood trees and its trickling stream. Every detail has been added to ensure the space is perfectly romantic and memorable.
The Hyde Estate is offering a dry hire facility to allow you to create your perfect day. We work with a select few caterers offering a range of catering options. Whilst all other suppliers from marquee companies to florist are free for you to choose, we are more than happy to recommend a great selection of suppliers that suit your requirements and style of wedding.
Beyond your marquee is the private garden which is brimming with wonderful photo opportunities including a double swing and Monet-style bridge. The Hyde Estate is a photographer’s paradise, allowing you to create beautiful and lasting memories.
To visit this stunning site and to discuss hosting your day here, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team.

Stunning hidden gem in Sussex
We couldn't have hoped for a better venue for our wedding. Not only is The Wild Garden heartstoppingly beautiful but there is also a blank canvas to allow you to do exactly what you want for your day. This allowed us to have a unique and very special wedding that we wouldn't have had the freedom to pull off anywhere else.Sent on 01/03/2021
On top of that is the fact that the team were an absolute pleasure to deal with and didn't mind us popping in and out of the site with various suppliers in the run up to the wedding.
All of our guests commented on how unusual and stunning the venue was. People felt like they were really off the beaten track, nestled in the woods but conveniently very close to both London and Brighton. We got married at Worth Abbey which was only 20 minutes away.
I'm so grateful for being able to use this site and would recommend it to anyone looking to create their own haven in the Sussex countryside.

Breathtaking, Completely Private Too!
We had our wedding reception at this truly stunning venue a couple of years ago. Couldn't recommend it highly enough - not only is it breathtaking but it is completely private too. A very special place to celebrate a very special day!Sent on 04/11/2018
