Located in the heart of the vibrant City of London, The Brewery provides a unique venue for your wedding celebrations. The Brewery is full of character, perfect for a truly original and personalised occasion. With an excellent range of flexible spaces, delicious food and great service, The Brewery stands apart from other London venues.

The venue occupies the building of the former Whitbread brewery in East London. In 1750, Samuel Whitbread moved his operations to the Chiswell Street location, where the business quickly thrived. Business continued until 1976, and throughout its life, the brewery drew attention from the Royal family with visits from George III and Queen Elizabeth II, to name just two.

The site now offers a fantastic setting for your wedding. The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in every room, allowing you to hold your whole day of celebrations in one stunning location. The Brewery can accommodate between 40 and 600 guests for your ceremony and reception, allowing you to have a small, intimate event or a lavish, grand occasion.

The impressive Porter Tun is ideal for big weddings. With an exposed King Post timber roof, antique wooden floor and charming raised balcony, the space exudes charm and character. Alternatively, the most intimate rooms at the venue, the Sugar Rooms, are incredibly special and have a rustic barn feel – a very hard trait to find in the city!

Food is an incredibly important part of your wedding day, so we are on hand to provide delicious, impressive dishes for you and your guests. Every dish is created by our talented team of Chefs, with the utmost care to provide truly fantastic, quality food.

Amazing wedding venue

Got married here in March and couldn’t have had a better day. The staff were attentive and well organised, food was spectacular and it’s a lovely building. It feels like a real luxury experience and well worth the money. Head and shoulder above other venues we looked at!

The level of attention to detail is second to none

The Brewery has it all

“As a venue for a bespoke tailored, London wedding, The Brewery has it all. It offers unique spaces, blank canvases and excellent service, we simply cannot recommend it highly enough.

For us, it epitomizes the London vibe whilst also serving glorious food and offering amazing lighting/sound systems. Each of the spaces is cleverly designed to complement its historic past, giving it a unique vintage/ industrial style brimming with personality, perfect for day-time celebrations and night-time revelry.

We always love working at the Brewery; we adore the versatility of its spaces, each one, offering endless possibilities for theming and decorating. The Brewery offers wedding clients the opportunity to really own the space on their big day; it allows them to customise their wedding day, so it is totally theirs, exclusively in their style.

We have created some pretty amazing floral designs for wedding clients at The Brewery, from the prettiest of delicate posies, to the most epic of statement installations. Flowers can’t help but look amazing here, with the blank-canvas walls complimenting and enhancing their natural beauty. Oh, and as for the staff at The Brewery, well you couldn’t be in better hands for the most important day of your lives! “

We - and all our guests - had a fantastic day. We have had nothing but glowing feedback from our guests for the venue and all the staff on the day.

We'd like to call out three people in particular for praise.

Chris, the event manager, was absolutely outstanding; we both knew we were in completely safe hands with him, and his reactiveness and dealing with every query and request we had was amazing and remarkable.

Both him and Will were so clearly in control of the service for the food - again, all of our guests felt very well looked after, and everything appeared effortless to our guests; I know this requires a lot of effort on your team's part to make this happen, and we both have huge respect and thanks for that.

Eddie was also an absolute gentleman and a huge help to our photographer Kari, and to our guests - especially those with mobility needs. His fantastic manner and ease at dealing with everyone was a superb icebreaker for when our guests arrived, setting the tone for an amazing day.

And, as I've already alluded, all of the staff were incredibly friendly and professional - this speaks volumes to their quality, and the quality of the offering that The Brewery provides.
