Everything about the Astbury is fantastic! House, Tipi, Gardens & golf course were all stunning! Nothing was too much trouble for Valme and her team. I never felt worried about anything because I knew they would sort any unforeseen issues. The food was delicious, the service impeccable. Staff were so helpful with everything! Even lending us and photographers golf buggies so we could get photos on the golf course! So many of our guests commented on how fabulous the venue was, everybody loved it! We couldn't be happier that we chose The Astbury as our venue, everything was perfect!

The Astbury is a splendid venue. Classic stately hall, rustic tipi, wonderful panoramamic views for those special photos and intimate moments. There's plenty of places for all guests to relax, chat and children can play. Even poochies welcomed.

A beautiful day made special at this wonderful venue.
The marquis was tent style and was decorated beautifully. My mom has Alzheimer’s and they accommodated her very limited diet so she could be part of her grandsons day. I
Know there were a few more fussy eaters ( myself included) where they also altered our meal to accommodate us. The staff were very attentive and professional and couldn’t do enough for my handsome son and his beautiful bride.

Honestly can’t recommend The Astbury enough for any future couples looking for a beautifully scenic & high end service for their wedding. From the very first moment, we met Val (The Events Manager) she spent time with us, showed us around and we were hooked. She truly made us feel at ease and we just knew our wedding would be in safe hands with her and the rest of the fantastic Astbury staff! We still receive comments from family & friends about how amazing our wedding was there 🥰 If we could do the whole thing over again, we wouldn’t choose anywhere else but The Astbury.

There are many aspects to the Astbury that makes it a truly wonderful venue. First and foremost the people who work there are incredible and will help you with anything. Valme particularly is a credit to the Astbury and incredibly talented. With Valme you are in the safest hands and will enjoy your wedding experience so much more. The venue itself with the tipi is stunning for any time of year. We had a summer wedding but have been in the tipi when it’s the coldest outside but the tipi is nice and cosy for a winter wedding. We’ve met many other couples and we all agree. You cannot find a better venue in Shropshire that does it all. We had a four day wedding with set-up and a dinner with guests stopping over the road at the Dinney, the wedding with a bouncy castle and lawn games, on the Sunday breakfast for guests and golf, and a final stop over in the cottage with the hot tub and champers. We had our dogs with us too. The final thing really is that for me (the bride) and many many guests we had a variety of food requirements: anaphylaxis, allergies and intolerances. We had a bespoke wedding breakfast adapted from the curated menus and catered perfectly for all our guests including things like no spices, garlic and vinegar for some guests. Having assessed a few venues they did not fill me with any confidence. The Astbury said ‘yes’ straightaway to someone having 9 of the 14 food allergens and some more. Feeling safe with food and free to eat whatever I wanted and also other guests too was for me the highlight, because it never happens and on our wedding day, The Astubury brought our dream wedding to life.

We got married at The Astbury in August 2024 and it was everything we could’ve ever wished for.

From the first day we viewed the venue & met Val, we knew it was the place for us. Val was the most professional, organised, friendly and helpful person you could ever want helping you during the lead up to the big day.

I had heard so much about the things that go wrong on your wedding day but I can honestly say that thanks to Val and her team, nothing did! We visited the venue multiple times in the lead up and made changes to our schedule and nothing was too much to ask. The venue was absolutely beautiful and so many of our guests commented (and still talk about it to this day!).

We were very lucky with sunshine so were able to get married outside in the walled gardens, and then have our reception in the Tipi, it was the perfect modern but boho vibe. The food was absolutely spectacular and there were no issues with dietary requirements and allergies!

If you want the most magical wedding then I would highly recommend The Astbury.

We’ve scouted other venues and been to many stunning weddings in Shropshire’s most notable wedding venues and nothing compares to the quality and service you’ll get at the Astbury.

Venue -
The venue itself is stunning, set in the grounds of the Astbury Golf Resort, with amazing countryside views of and beautifully kept grounds.
We chose to get married outside in the Walled Garden area, followed by our reception in the Tipi. The Tipi is stunning inside, and is something that a lot of our guests commented on. It was something different we hadn't seen at many weddings, and was beautifully decorated with fairy lights.

Food -
The food was fab, many guests commented on how enjoyable it was. We had plenty to choose from, and found it easy to find something that would suit our guests dietary needs including vegan and vegetarian food.

Staff -
Could not thank Valme and the team more! From start to finish they were A+++!
Val met with us at the wedding fayre and talked us through the packages, we booked our wedding date then and there as we were blown away by the venue! I can honestly say without Val we wouldn't have known where to start. She made the whole process so easy and stress free, she was an absolute star!

Cost -
We found the venue to be extremely well priced. We opted for one of the wedding packages Val showed us, the prices were all laid out and easy to understand, no hidden costs so made budgeting easy. This was a breath of fresh air in comparison to brochures we had seen from other venues!

Accommodation -
We stayed in the recently renovated cottage the night before and night of the wedding. The large living room was perfect for myself and the Bridesmaids to get ready in. It also has a hot tub in the courtyard which is fab! There are also privately owned lodges on site that can be booked through Hoseasons, quite a few of our guests stayed in these, they were lovely modern lodges with great views and only a short walk to the main building.
