It’s been so hard knowing where to start because we’re just so sad the whole experience is over but at the same time we feel so incredibly lucky and will forever be in love with the Astbury!

From the moment we booked our big day, the team all made us feel amazing - from emails and meetings answering every question we had, to attending the beautiful wedding showcases bringing our ideas to life - Valme’s knowledge and attention to detail is just exceptional! The Astbury is so much more than just a stunning wedding venue; you are a honestly treated like family, and we are so honoured to have it as our special place, and have so many incredible memories there because of Valme and her team!

From the planning stages to our big day, every need and idea of ours was considered. Valme was nothing short of incredible. Her expertise, patience, and knowledge honestly knows no bounds— you are in such safe, wonderful hands with her planning your wedding. We even wish we could relive our day just to be able to take more time appreciating all of the little touches and moments she created for us!

Valme was there for us every step of the process with her thoughtful and careful guidance. She was fabulous at addressing any questions or little worries we had, helping us tremendously! Valme even possesses an amazing network of contacts, which meant that any extra vendors we needed or ideas we had were easily supported. She skillfully connected us with the right people or even sorted it all out directly.

Valme and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. Even when the weather wasn't what we had hoped for, we never worried or felt concerned. This was because we wholeheartedly trusted Valme throughout the entire planning process, and we simply knew she would make our day exceptional— and she truly did.

I can’t put into words how breathtaking this venue truly is. We were lucky with the weather and held our ceremony in the garden area, which was beautifully rustic and full of charm. Afterwards, we continued the celebration in the tipi—and honestly, photos just don’t do it justice. It’s incredibly cosy, warm, and surrounded by the most spectacular views.

Valme was like our built-in event planner, and she was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, she brought the most wonderful energy, captured every moment, and made sure everything ran seamlessly throughout the day.

The food was delicious, with plenty of options and the flexibility to tailor everything to our tastes. We hosted an Indian civil wedding here, and it was everything we hoped for and more. And when night falls and you’re dancing under the fairy lights—it's nothing short of magical.

I couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. It’s amazing value for money, unbelievably beautiful, and even offers on-site cabins that made the whole experience even more perfect.

From choosing the venue to the morning we checked out after our special day, we knew we were in safe hands with Val, Carole, and the team.

The location is stunning, and the tipis are the icing on the cake with all the sparkling fairy lights to create a fabulous atmosphere.

We didn’t think this venue would be in our budget, but it suited us, and the added bonus of having a blank canvas to make your own for our unique special day. The grounds are amazing for photos, creating a perfect platform to remember our day. We were lucky to be able to have Plan A on our day to have our wedding outdoors, but Plan B was an option if the weather wasn’t right. Which was great peace of mind to be able to decide on the morning of our wedding.

The pre-taster of the wedding food was amazing (make sure you go hungry).

Our guests still use our day as a benchmark for other weddings they have been to. We say the day was perfect, and so do our guests.

We cannot recommend this wedding experience highly enough. The cottage with the hot tub was a great way to start and finish our day.

We would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone. Val and the team did a wonderful job and communicated with us throughout the planning process. We had such fantastic feedback from all of our guests regarding the venue, the service and the food. There were apparently lots of empty plates which is a win! As the bride, Val made me feel at total ease on the day, with co ordinating everything perfectly. It really was the best day, and seeing our guests so happy and all together in this beautiful venue was just perfect. We stayed on site which was also a huge bonus as the accommodation was amazing! Our theme was quite a laid back, rustic spring vibe, and from the photos, it came together beautifully with the help from our vendors, Val and the Astbury team.

Couldn't recommend weddings at the Astbury enough. Val (event organiser) was superb during the viewings, planning and wedding day. The staff were brilliant, ensuring we had everything we needed on the day. We can't wait to visit them again!

Me and my husband got married at the Astbury in June 2025 and had the most incredible day! We would absolutely recommend this venue to any couple looking! All of our guests commented how amazing the day was! The staff went above and beyond and no request was too big! The food was amazing, we had a choice, menu for our guests and every course was delicious including the evening buffet! Everything was just perfect. Val is amazing and so flexible and helpful. The venue was stunning and Val knew exactly where to put everything for extra WOW factor.

A beautiful day made special at this wonderful venue.
The marquis was tent style and was decorated beautifully. My mom has Alzheimer’s and they accommodated her very limited diet so she could be part of her grandsons day. I
Know there were a few more fussy eaters ( myself included) where they also altered our meal to accommodate us. The staff were very attentive and professional and couldn’t do enough for my handsome son and his beautiful bride.

Honestly can’t recommend The Astbury enough for any future couples looking for a beautifully scenic & high end service for their wedding. From the very first moment, we met Val (The Events Manager) she spent time with us, showed us around and we were hooked. She truly made us feel at ease and we just knew our wedding would be in safe hands with her and the rest of the fantastic Astbury staff! We still receive comments from family & friends about how amazing our wedding was there 🥰 If we could do the whole thing over again, we wouldn’t choose anywhere else but The Astbury.

There are many aspects to the Astbury that makes it a truly wonderful venue. First and foremost the people who work there are incredible and will help you with anything. Valme particularly is a credit to the Astbury and incredibly talented. With Valme you are in the safest hands and will enjoy your wedding experience so much more. The venue itself with the tipi is stunning for any time of year. We had a summer wedding but have been in the tipi when it’s the coldest outside but the tipi is nice and cosy for a winter wedding. We’ve met many other couples and we all agree. You cannot find a better venue in Shropshire that does it all. We had a four day wedding with set-up and a dinner with guests stopping over the road at the Dinney, the wedding with a bouncy castle and lawn games, on the Sunday breakfast for guests and golf, and a final stop over in the cottage with the hot tub and champers. We had our dogs with us too. The final thing really is that for me (the bride) and many many guests we had a variety of food requirements: anaphylaxis, allergies and intolerances. We had a bespoke wedding breakfast adapted from the curated menus and catered perfectly for all our guests including things like no spices, garlic and vinegar for some guests. Having assessed a few venues they did not fill me with any confidence. The Astbury said ‘yes’ straightaway to someone having 9 of the 14 food allergens and some more. Feeling safe with food and free to eat whatever I wanted and also other guests too was for me the highlight, because it never happens and on our wedding day, The Astubury brought our dream wedding to life.

We got married at The Astbury in August 2024 and it was everything we could’ve ever wished for.

From the first day we viewed the venue & met Val, we knew it was the place for us. Val was the most professional, organised, friendly and helpful person you could ever want helping you during the lead up to the big day.

I had heard so much about the things that go wrong on your wedding day but I can honestly say that thanks to Val and her team, nothing did! We visited the venue multiple times in the lead up and made changes to our schedule and nothing was too much to ask. The venue was absolutely beautiful and so many of our guests commented (and still talk about it to this day!).

We were very lucky with sunshine so were able to get married outside in the walled gardens, and then have our reception in the Tipi, it was the perfect modern but boho vibe. The food was absolutely spectacular and there were no issues with dietary requirements and allergies!

If you want the most magical wedding then I would highly recommend The Astbury.
