Nettlestead Place is a wedding venue situated in Nettlestead, Kent. This stunning 10-acre property offers a unique English country setting with award-winning gardens and a striking medieval manor. The manor is steeped in history and is still a family home, but it can be exclusively used for weddings. This beautiful space makes for a true gem of a venue.
Facilities and Capacity
The 14th-century gatehouse stands to the west of the manor at the start of the private drive and is an impressive entrance for the bridal party. St Mary's Church is the neighbouring church and just a 5-minute walk to Nettlestead Place. There is also a comfortable and relaxing suite for the bridal party to make their preparations.
The 13th-century Undercroft is a truly unique location for wedding ceremonies and is characterised by 3 medieval pillars. The Undercroft can comfortably seat up to 120 guests. For couples wanting to marry outside, the stunning Rose Garden is the ideal location for outdoor ceremonies. The beautiful hexagonal cedar wood Gazebo, sitting at the base of a 300-year-old Lime tree and surrounded by rose trees, is the perfect setting for an outside ceremony. The aromas and the beauty of the rose garden make this a truly romantic setting.
After the wedding ceremony, guests can enjoy champagne and canapes on the broad terraces overlooking the manor's sunken pond and rolling valleys of Kent's countryside. The celebrations can continue as guests can wander through the idyllic gardens, famous throughout Europe, across manicured lawns, paths, and water features, surveying the beautiful Kent countryside on their way to the wedding marquee.
The exclusive wedding marquee offers amazing views over the valley and gardens and can accommodate up to 150 day guests and 200 evening guests for wedding receptions.
Services Offered
Couples are welcome to decorate the venue, tailoring it to their unique style and tastes. A wedding coordinator can assist with this and other details, including liaising with the in-house catering service. The newlyweds are also welcome to spend their first married night in this opulent venue's accommodations. Nettlestead Place is pet-friendly and also allows for confetti and fireworks to illuminate the celebration.
History
Nettlestead Place is a medieval manor listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 set in the heart of Kent. It has for centuries staged lavish celebrations and is now exclusively available for weddings and other celebrations.

Wedding Venue of Dreams!
We sent so many emails with various queries ahead of the wedding, and Sharon was always very prompt and helpful in her replies and was very patient and flexible.
It is also worth noting that we had a guest with significant mobility issues, but this was not an issue and her needs were met.
So many people have said what an excellent place to have a wedding, it really did have everything!
We are so grateful for the wonderful team for helping us organise the wedding of our dreams!!

A Brilliant venue with organised professional staff, providing the best experience
Thank you soooooooo much for providing a magical, brilliant, super, amazing (there are so may more positive adjectives I can use to describe the event) day for my Son and Daughter. Everything was perfect, the staff waiting on the tables were soooooo professional and did it in military fashion and timely, wow, the food was amazing and the venue, wow wow wow. I have no more words, I'm even filling up just thinking how everything went soooo smoothly and that is credit to you and your staff. I have had so many messages from friends and family discussing the views and beautiful venue, delicious food, friendly atmosphere, timely service and great organisation.The weather was great too and made the ceremony brilliant. I cannot thank you enough for giving Ryan and Lucy THE MOST PERFECT DAY.

Sharon was always on hand to help, answer any questions and make sure everything ran smoothly on the day.
We had the ability to visit in the lead up to our day to check any details or just enjoy the grounds for a short time.
Everyone said it was such an unusual and beautiful place, they had never been to another wedding like it.

Sharon our wedding coordinator was perfect from the word go, so very accommodating and responsive, who goes above and beyond in her role. She is one of a kind and a beautiful soul.
6 months on, our guests still highly compliment Nettlestead Place and the food, of which was perfectly produced by EasyDine.
We truly had the most beautiful wedding day, the sun was shining and the grounds were immaculate. The design of the marquee too is fantastic!
We couldn't recommend Nettlestead Place, Sharon, her team and the EasyDine Caterers enough, you won't be disappointed from the service they all provide.

A Wonderful Venue
Perfect, perfect, perfect
Sharon made planning a wedding so much easier, providing helpful advice and making sure everything ran perfectly on the day.
The Undercroft is a beautiful and unique place for the wedding ceremony and the gardens and marquee were exactly what we wanted for a spring country garden wedding.
The food and waiting service was truly excellent; every meal was cooked and presented to perfection and served swiftly and elegantly by attentive, highly professional waiting staff.
Overall, we cannot recommend Nettlestead Place enough- it must be the best wedding venue in the Kent, if not the country!
Our Dream Wedding Venue
As soon as we saw it we knew it was the one! The staff are wonderful and the grounds are spectacular.
We cannot recommend this venue enough. From the food, to the organising, to the decor. We got married in the Undercroft, a magical, beautiful area of the venue, which is nothing like anything we have seen before. Before moving to the beautiful rose garden and ending our day in the fantastic spacious marquee.
Nettlesstead place is the perfect venue for a timeless British Garden wedding.
We were offered to spend the evening in the bridal suite after the wedding and we cannot thank Annabel and Roy enough for their hospitality. The stay was amazing and the cooked breakfast we highly recommend.

Perfection
A truly wonderful venue
I would recommend Nettlestead to everyone - the undercroft is the most unique ceremony venue anyone could ask for. I'm always tempted to 'not mention' it to keep it a secret as it goes with the romantic setting.
The catering staff onsite were professional and the food is amazing - well presented and very delicious. The marquee is completely fit for purpose and looks so beautiful with nearly every type of decoration.
If we could, we'd do it all again tomorrow!
