Really regret choosing this for my wedding venue
Don’t get me wrong there were some really really lovely helpful members of staff such as Vera! However manor of groves will evidently tell you what you want to hear until you’re wedding day and then it’s basically tough cookie on the day! Whatever happens happens and they couldn’t care less! For example with my wedding, i was so concerned about their air con breaking as I’d heard horror stories before from other brides... so I messaged for some reassurance and got exactly that so thought everything would be fine, on the day It happened the be 33 degrees, and just my luck the air con wasn’t working! My caterer was so annoyed that the air con wasn’t turned on from 3pm and they waited until 5pm so it was too late to fix anything! Next - they have a WiFi init which apparently interrupts with the bands instruments, and of course just my luck their WiFi unit completely ruined my entrance I am Greek Cypriot and we enter with a violinist playing a song! The violin was completely silent as the man was playing it as the WiFi unit clashed with the bands equipment! The main singer in the band was so annoyed as he specifically asked a member of staff to make sure it was off for my entrance but of course they didn’t bother listening! Last but not least... the worst thing to ruin the end of my wedding... was the fact that dead on 12o clock they switched off our music! I had specifically paid a dj to mix songs for me onto a usb but dead on 12 when there was about 10 minutes of my mix left, they cut the music! I honestly couldn’t sleep that night from how angry I was with the venue!Sent on 15/07/2018
Manor of Groves Hotel's reply:Dear Stavy Stephanou,
Amazing Wedding Venue
We got married at the weekend and it was perfect. Manor of Groves could not do enough for us in the lead up to the wedding which was really reassuring. On the actual day of the wedding all the staff were up early and helping to get the rooms ready, I didn't actually see any of this, but was told by a lot of guests and my husband that they were fantastic. Every detail was looked after, Charlotte and Stephen looked after us on the day and they were always there to make sure we were happy and our guests had everything they needed. It was simply a flawless and professionally run operation. I was really amazed. The rooms for us and the guests were beautiful and well looked after and the breakfast is outstanding! Please book this place for your wedding, it was the best decision we made.Sent on 07/04/2015

I would just like to express my sincere thanks to all of your staff, who helped to make it an extraordinarily special day.
I can't tell you what a perfect day it was and this was in large part because of the spectacular surroundings, the very comfortable rooms and the attentive and friendly staff the weather was wonderful too - which didn't hurt!!!.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Manor of Groves to anyone contemplating a wedding, conference or any function.
