Madeira in Fife is a secluded estate nestled in the East Neuk of Fife, one of Scotland’s sunniest coastlines. Surrounded by woodland and centred around a two-acre walled garden, the estate is home to charming cottages and three romantic tree houses, offering a magical setting for weddings that feel like a true escape. Couples can hire the entire estate, with accommodation for 24–36 guests, creating a fully immersive setting for your wedding weekend. From intimate elopements to celebrations of up to 200 guests, Madeira is designed to be flexible and personal. Having your closest friends and family staying on-site creates a relaxed feel, where the celebration unfolds naturally across the whole weekend. You won't have to share this with anyone because you will have the venue exclusively to yourself. No bumping into other hotel guests or feeling that you might be sharing the rest of your day with others.

Prices

Every Madeira wedding is unique. Prices range from £5,000 for an intimate elopement to £12,000+ for weddings with over 130 guests. Our range of spaces allows us to tailor your day to your style. Prices include ceremony and reception set up and exclusive use of the Madeira estate, accommodation for 24-36 guests across a range of stylish cottages and tree houses over three days, for an unforgettable wedding weekend.

Spaces

A collection of indoor and outdoor spaces woven throughout the estate allows your day to flow naturally from one setting to the next, from garden ceremonies and woodland vows to tented celebrations, to quirky entertainment areas and intimate indoor gatherings.

Best weekend of my life

Wow, what can I say, Madeira is the perfect venue. Tara is so lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much bother.

The venue is absolutely stunning, from the walled garden where we had our ceremony, the bothy area where we enjoyed family pizza night, to the Dell tent where we enjoyed our wedding reception with dance floor and sound system for our first dance. The fire pit area is beautiful at night with the lights and trees around. We had marshmallows and sparklers when the sun set.

I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The flexibility from Tara made us able to have all our dreams come true. From food trucks, to bagpipers, we had it all ❤️

The accommodation is lovely and cosy. The treehouses will take your breath away, they are simply stunning. The bed are super comfy and all the accommodation has everything you may need. Everywhere you look at Madeira, something will surprise you with its beauty.

The perfect place for our small wedding – July 2026

We are so pleased to have gotten married at Madeira in Fife. We knew we wanted somewhere in the East Neuk (100% the best bit of Scotland!) where we could have a small wedding of around 25 guests, with all of our closest friends and family staying on site and spending quality time together. Madeira was perfect for exactly that.

We were fortunate enough to have ideal weather for an outdoor wedding, and the East Neuk certainly didn’t disappoint. There are so many different areas around the grounds to explore and make use of throughout your stay and wedding day, which gave us loads of flexibility in how we wanted to use the venue. Tara and her team put in effort above and beyond what we ever expected. There were also loads of things already available for us to use, including tables, chairs, decorations and even hot tubs, which were a brilliant bonus.

The accommodation was another highlight. Everything felt modern, very clean and cosy. The treehouses are obviously a really unique feature, but if you’re worried about some of your guests staying in the cottages instead, don’t be — the cottages are super too! Everyone was comfortable, and having everyone together on site made the whole experience much more special.

The venue also worked brilliantly for the different things we wanted to do. We had an outdoor ceilidh on the grounds in the afternoon, and afterwards moved into the Bothy, where a private chef was able to prepare and serve a fantastic five-course meal for all 25 of us. It was great being able to have such different parts of the day all within the venue, and if you’re considering either of these for your own wedding, Madeira can absolutely accommodate them.

One of our favourite things about getting married here was how easy it was to make use of everything the East Neuk has to offer. We sourced fresh fruit from Barnsmuir Farm Shop outside Crail, fish and chips from Anstruther Fish Bar, chocolate from the Pittenweem Chocolate Shop, steak pies from Ardross Farm Shop outside St Monans, and pastries from the Elie Deli. Even Majestic Wines in Dundee knew the venue and were able to provide our glasses without any issues. There are so many fantastic local businesses nearby that it made bringing everything together incredibly easy.

Tara and her team were responsive, friendly and genuinely supportive throughout the whole process. Even when I threw a few last-minute curveballs her way, she always approached them with a can-do attitude. You might not be able to completely let go of the stress of organising a wedding, but you can have the peace of mind that Tara can handle it!

In terms of value for money, we honestly feel we found the perfect sweet spot. For two nights and three days with all of our friends and family, the quality of the accommodation, the beautiful grounds, and the amount of care, work and support from Tara and her team, it felt like exceptional value.

The best thing for us was being able to have everyone stay together for the whole experience. It meant the wedding didn’t have to end when the wedding day did. The following morning we were able to have brunch together, catch up properly, talk about the day before and gradually say our goodbyes rather than everyone disappearing at the end of the night.

Those two nights and three days gave us proper quality time with the people closest to us and made the whole thing feel like our own little moment together in the East Neuk, rather than just a single wedding day.

We couldn’t recommend Madeira in Fife more!

Magical Festival Wedding!

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Tara and her team made sure that everything was covered. The venue is really magical and felt intimate whilst still able to hold lots of guests. The onsite accommodation gave the weekend an all-inclusive feel. We had lots of friends and family that we wanted to party with but also just wanted an intimate ceremony. Having access to the whole estate allowed us to have the best of both worlds; an intimate ceremony on Friday and a big party on Saturday. It was brilliant. The sun was shining and we had the time of our lives!

The perfect wedding

We got married at Madeira in Fife in May 2026. We had 50 people during the day for the ceremony and a sit down meal and then around 65 people total for the evening. The venue was the perfect size for all of our immediate family and wedding party to stay on site for the weekend. This was great for getting to spend quality time with everyone.

The weekend was honestly perfect, we arrived around mid day on the Friday and helped with the set up, showing Tara and team how we wanted things arranged. We had a pizza welcome party on the Friday night with our family and close friends, it was an amazing way to kick off the weekend.

On the wedding day I got ready with my bridesmaids in the studio cottage which is gorgeous. We were so lucky with the weather and were able to have our dream outdoor ceremony in the walled garden. It was beautiful! We had our drinks reception outside the Bothy and then our meal and the party in the stretch tent. There's so much flexibility at the venue, we loved that we could choose our own caterers (Hendersons from Edinburgh which were amazing) and brought our own alcohol for a DIY bar. Also a shout out to the florists the venue work with, Simply Pottering, who made the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and the day went so smoothly. The team at Madeira were absolutely wonderful and I couldn't recommend the venue more!

A magical day!

We were married in August 2021 at Maderia and it was a magical experience. We were one of the first to use the venue for a wedding and both Tara and Kate provided a professional and flexible service which meant we got the wedding we wanted. Kate in particular provided brilliant creativity to ensure it all looked stunning and the accommodation, setting and service were all first rate. If you are looking for a unique and bespoke wedding I would thoroughly recommend speaking to Tara and the team. They are so welcoming, lovely and receptive to ideas and made our day extra special!

Outdoor garden wedding

Had my wedding here in summer 2022
Nothing was to much trouble I emailed them with my idea of a garden picnic wedding and they couldn’t of been more helpful and made sure all my ideas and even things I hadn’t thought of came to life. The garden I had my wedding in was set up beautiful and I was given lots of options of how this could be done, we then had a marquee for the night time ceremony which again was set up
however way we wanted it

The wedding venue is a blank canvas and a bride with lots of outdoor ideas would love it

The on-site accommodation was great and the we were allowed to use all the facilities that they have in the bothy.
