From the very beginning, Dougi was so friendly and inviting; we chose to have our pre wedding shoot a few months prior and it was the perfect opportunity to meet Dougi and just get comfortable in front of the camera. He put us at ease from the start and made us feel grateful to have such a lovely professional photographer.

On the day he blended in smoothly and was able to take such natural candid photos of the entire day. What's really lovely is to see how many photos he managed to take of all our guests, all laughing, smiling and just having a wonderful day.

Could not recommend Dougi enough! He captured our day perfectly, with lots of beautiful candid shots and perfect group shots! We were put at ease after our test shoot before the wedding which really helped on the day. Dougi went above and beyond, making sure he captured the bridal party getting ready away from the venue, while also being on time to capture us coming into the venue. He was incredibly flexible, working to our time on the day but making sure he captured all the photos we wanted. Getting the photos back, we were incredibly impressed with what he managed to capture. Our guests also loved Dougi, even letting our bridesmaid lead on our bridal party photos. Thank you, Dougi!

Dougie was such an excellent photographer for our wedding. As soon as we met him and did our pre shoot photos we knew his relaxed style of getting shots would suit our wedding guests perfectly. He communicated well throughout the lead up to the wedding so we knew we were in good hands. It makes such a difference to your day knowing that everything will be captured and you can relax and enjoy it. He provided a few photos for us the day after the wedding to share with people and social media and the final result with the rest of the photos were incredible. We are SO happy we chose Dougi to be our Wedding photographer. From start to finish it was really clear how important it was to him that we felt comfortable, and that he captured the kind of photos WE wanted.
Communication was great from the moment we booked, and he did lots of checking in with us to see if we had any thoughts/ideas, or if there is anything he could do to help.
We just received our photos back from our wedding day, and could honestly not be happier with them! They are the perfect mix of family photos, photos of the bride & groom, and lots of amazing candids - we are so delighted with them. Looking through the photos made us feel like we will re-living the day all over again.

What a pleasure it was working with Dougie on our wedding. He is a gem of a guy, relaxed and easy to work with and even managed to get some great photos of me ( I hate being photographed). We had a pre wedding shoot that helped us get to know his ways which was great fun and on our wedding day he guided us through some great pics, but was never in our faces. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach and made a point of keeping it light and casual. Dougi could not have been a better man for the job. The meet and greet before the wedding day helped break the ice. We also got some fantastic pre-wedding photos with the dog to boot. He kept the formal photos to a minimum (as requested) and subtly went about capturing some moving and candid moments. He captured the casual atmosphere to a tee. Very flexible. He even returned to the beach late at night when after we lit the bonfire for some dramatic fire shots.

We came across Dougi when looking for a photographer that could produce really natural photos of our wedding. Neither of us are particularly posey people and didn’t want to spend any length of time standing still. Dougi was everything we were looking for and the offering of a ‘pre wedding’ shoot was really appealing to us. We booked 2 years before the wedding and he kept in touch the entire time offering assistance and checking in. Then it came time for our pre shoot, Dougi was really flexible with dates and times and met with us in Edinburgh on a very busy day! He put us at ease instantly over a coffee and seemed genuinely interested in chatting about our lives and wedding. I noticed he had been following us both on social media for a while at this point so he had a good idea of our personalities which I think is a great touch. The shots he got on that day were so fun, he was really easy to follow and you could just see his creative mind at work. We got them back so quickly too.
The Wedding Day - he arrived and brought an air of calm to the suite. I was much more relaxed than anticipated and he just got straight to work, the pictures of the bridesmaids all ready are some of my favourite overall! He was so subtle that morning you wouldn’t have known he was there if he wasn’t making you laugh.
We got married on the day of Storm Darragh and the wind could’ve taken you away, that and it felt like -5 outside… Dougi was really quick in getting our outdoor shots and you wouldn’t know from the pictures that we were absolutely Baltic!
The rest of the night he bounced around and captured loads of great memories for us, people have said they had no idea he was there on the dance floor and has caught so many lovely moments as a result.
Nothing was forced with Dougi, he’s so easy to get along with and his wealth of experience is just so obvious in his work. We couldn’t recommend him more highly if we tried. Don’t look any further than him for gorgeous candid memories of your day!
