Garden Museum is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue in Southwark, East London. It's situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, overlooks the Houses of Parliament and is very close to Tate Britain. In other words, the venue truly offers a unique oasis amongst the bustle of the big city.
Facilities and Capacity
The Museum easily seats up to 140 guests for dinner in the main space, The Nave, beneath the beautiful stained glass windows and medieval architecture. There is also plenty of room for drinks and dancing in the same space when dinner has ended. The breathtaking interior is very versatile, and an informal party-style reception works equally as well as a formal sit-down meal; the choice is completely yours.
Alternatively, there is the Courtyard Garden, an extension that houses a garden designed by award-winning gardener Dan Pearson. This space is perfect for intimate gatherings of up to 30 guests or as a drinks reception space when used in conjunction with The Nave.
Services Offered
The Garden Museum team understand that your wedding should be unique and reflect you as a couple. That's why they encourage you to use the venue in a way that makes your celebration as special as possible. The Museum has a host of trusted suppliers that the staff works with. You can choose from several caterers who provide menus inspired by the gardens, using seasonal ingredients. Additionally, you'll work with expert florists who focus on bringing stunning gardens and blooms from the outside indoors as a spectacular centrepiece for your day.
