We cannot rate The Kings Head highly enough! We used the intimate package as COVID restrictions were still in place but looking back I wouldn't have had it any other way. The wine cellar was perfect for our wedding breakfast, such a lovely atmosphere. Having drinks on the terrace after the ceremony was also so wonderful. Not only were the rooms and location great, the whole day was so relaxed and beautiful which I think was down to the excellent staff. Elise was great making sure that everything ran smoothly and ensuring all the finer details were covered off. She really took all the stress away. Azouz and the staff on the day were fab, they really looked after us. We had a few children attending and they couldn't do enough for them. My Gramp is also blind and again nothing was too much trouble to make sure he felt comfortable and he enjoyed his day.
Prior to the wedding we thought we would have a 'good' day but it was honestly the best day and we couldn't have hoped for more! Would highly recommend this as a venue for others!

Daisy has been amazing from start to finish and no question or request has ever been too much for her. Daisy is organised, reliable, easy to communicate with, kind and friendly. She makes the whole process easy and allows you to enjoy the day so much more by organising everything herself. We can't thank you enough Daisy for your continued hard work to make sure our day was so special, we couldn't have done it without you.
In terms of the venue, it's also perfect. The rooms are beautiful, specious and comfortable, and offer plenty of room for bridal prep. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The wedding rooms to offer are sensational, the assembly room is grand and beautiful. It's modern but also has character, and can be very versatile for decorations. We then had our evening down in the vaulted cellar, which creates such an amazing atmosphere for the evening.
The food throughout the day could not be faulted. The food was delicious, and served in a timely and professional manner. They also did not get one order wrong, which I'm sure is difficult for so many guests.
We could not recommend the Kings Head and Daisy enough and they both deserve all the recognition. So many guests have told us it is the best wedding they have attended.

We celebrated our wedding at the Kings Head Hotel at the end of September and it’s been hard trying to put this review together just because of quite how exceptional everything was! The whole experience exceeded every one our expectations by a mile and it was an absolutely perfect day.

Special thanks first of all to Daisy who is nothing short of a dream. She was an absolute superstar throughout the entire process, making sure every detail was just right and helping to keep everything running smoothly on the big day. We knew when we looked around the venue that she was a bit of us, and she more than proved it on the day.

The banqueting team were also incredible. Fun yet professional and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Nothing seemed too much trouble and their hard work, dedication, and genuine care truly made our wedding experience exceptional. Our guests especially loved how the food was delivered with butterfly service, a really great touch.

The food itself was stunning, with each canape and plate beautifully presented and full of flavour which you don't often get at a wedding! The drinks were also perfectly chilled and the team doing bar service were so attentive and friendly, ensuring drinks were always flowing smoothly.

The venue itself is also just so beautiful! The understated Assembly Room was spot on for our ceremony and meal, and it perfectly contrasted the Vaulted Cellar where we had a proper party into the night. The team had no trouble moving our decorations and such for us to make sure the day flowed beautifully between the spaces too.

The hotel side is just a cherry on top of an already incredible place. Jo and the rest of the front of house team handled our mass descent like absolute pros, ensuring everyone felt so welcome. Plus the bedrooms were spacious and luxurious, with incredibly comfortable beds. Every detail made our special day even more unforgettable. Plus it was such a treat for us and our guests to stay and not have to worry about travelling on the day.

Every day we talk about our wedding as we just had the most perfect day. We can’t recommend Daisy and the Kings Head enough! Book and I guarantee you will have your dream wedding.

We had the best day celebrating at Kingshead. Daisy was fantastic with meeting all our needs and special requests. She was available for us from start to finish and ensured the day run smoothly. Daisy helped us with so much we didnt know at the start of the process and recommended some great vendors! Great room, and food was absolutely gorgeous!

Trying to put into words how great the Kings Head team are is very difficult! The care, attention, quality and value are truly unparalleled. We had a small intimate evening wedding with 16 guests in the Wine Cellar, it was such a romantic and beautiful setting but every other room in this hotel is just as beautiful, if we would've had a larger wedding it would've still been the perfect place for us!
Daisy from the beginning was so amazing, her passion for coordinating your special day really shines. Answering all sorts of questions and whims I had so happily and truly being someone I could rely during this process. On the day Daisy was such a calming and fun person to be around, she made everything go so smoothly and organised, even down to her having every little thing I forgot about!! She made every issue disappear with ease and made it possible for us to not have to worry about anything. We feel like we got off so easily with our wedding, it was the easiest process from first meeting to the day itself, and I truly have Daisy to thank for that! Not to forget the team working so hard serving our families and providing such great service!
The Food. The. Food! As massive foodies, the meal had to be great, trying the taster menu we knew we'd be in good hands on the day! Such delicious food, perfectly cooked and timed meals which can be difficult with 4 different mains in our party due to allergies and preferences! They really blew us away and everyone really enjoyed the meal.
Can't recommend this gorgeous hotel more.

As soon as we viewed the King's Head we both knew it would be the most perfect place for us to get married and it didn't disappoint. We always wanted our ceremony to be intimate with 30 people which was a perfect start to the day. Whilst we were very lucky for hot September weather, the reception drinks in the terraced garden served as a perfect opportunity for our group photos.
Our wedding breakfast was hosted in the panel room which is stunning and fitted so well for our theme. The food was ridiculously delicious with all guests raving about it days after!
For us, the evening do was our main focus which we had down in the vaulted cellar, a private bar, raised stage for the band and plenty of room for dancing made it the best way to celebrate our wedding. And of course staying on site in their gorgeous rooms on offer was just the cherry on top.
As our wedding coordinator, Elise was always available to answer our questions and ensuring on the day that everything went smooth and we can't thank her and the team enough for all their hard work.

We visited KH in February this year to look into booking for our wedding & fell in love with the place. We booked for the 5th September and then the world as we know it changed! We loved the Kings Head as we wanted an intimate ceremony and they had the space to do this for us. However with all the restrictions, this seemed the last thing we could have. Then Elise and her team made it happen.
Elise was amazing, as soon as she was back from lockdown she was in touch and kept us up to date with everything. We decided to go ahead and Elise talked us through the options and how we could make it work for us.
When everything seemed to be against the wedding happening, Elise was a positive voice and very upbeat and enthusiastic about making our day happen.
I cannot thank her enough, our wedding was just beautiful. We had the ceremony in the vaulted cellar, which was so much bigger than we wanted but they made it work for us...it was intimate and just magical.
The wine cellar where we had our wedding breakfast was just stunning, the food was fantastic and Azue was very attentive to all our guests.
I was never without a drink in my hand and all the wedding party were made to feel so special and looked after. He did a fabulous job.
I cannot recommend the Kings Head enough, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. In the few times I popped in, there was always a smile and an offer to show me a room or let me put some flowers in there to see what they looked like!

We booked Kings Head Hotel for our wedding on July the 18th (2020). In the midst of the Covid issue we decided to go ahead with our day, despite reduced numbers. The service that the whole hotel gave us was nothing less than overwhelming; they pulled out all the stops to ensure our day was as special as we had hoped. Covid or no Covid, we wouldn’t have changed a thing, and I would warmly recommend them to anyone thinking of choosing Kings Head Hotel as their wedding venue. Awesome work Elise and team!

We got married at the Kings head and our day couldn’t have been more perfect! From start to finish Daisy and the team were amazing! The venue is so beautiful and it’s great having different rooms/terrace for different parts of the day. The food was amazing and we had so many compliments on the day about it. We got married at the kings head hotel in Cirencester just over 3 weeks ago now and we couldn’t be happier with the overall package. The moment we met Daisy, the wedding coordinator, we knew that we were going to have the most amazing wedding day. Everything was perfect and Daisy was there every step of the way. From booking this venue, to all of the crazy plans we had, to the actual wedding day, there was nothing we could complain about. The first meeting to the actual day.

We recently had our wedding at the Kings Head Hotel and it was amazing from start to finish. We went to a wedding fair there a few years ago and absolutely fell in love. The venue is beautiful and it’s great that it has the different areas that you can spend your whole day there. Daisy (the wedding planner) is incredible! The whole process up to the wedding was great, she was great with communication and she was so helpful when I needed it. I couldn’t thank her and the team enough, our wedding day was beautiful and I would choose the Kings Head Hotel again if I could!

From our initial enquiry, the two years of planning and throughout our wedding day and evening, Daisy could not have been more helpful and joyous to work with! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding co-ordinator or person generally to be in touch with and to handle our wedding!

Being a very indecisive individual, and knowing that a wedding entails lots of decision making and ideas and thoughts to be discussed, Daisy was on hand to calm our nerves and talk through anything we needed or wanted to, whenever we needed to! No question, no change of heart, no concern was too much trouble and she was always happy to help and listen to us. Her detailed responses and time given to us was second to none.

The Guest Relations Manager Joanna and the team at the hotel were also fantastic. Their attentiveness towards us and our guests both prior to and on our wedding day was something to remember; even remembering some of our family guests names and addressing them by their first name at breakfast and on check-out is pretty impressive and something we will not forget.

The hotel itself as a wedding venue is a hidden gem. Having our own private area upstairs in the hotel for our ceremony, drinks/canapes, wedding breakfast, photos and evening reception was a selling point for us as we knew that despite it being a hotel open to the public, only our wedding guests would be around us and able to use the facilities upstairs; toilets, the terrace, bar etc and having that privacy was important for us.

Despite their not being a 'honeymoon suite' as such, the indulgent rooms at the hotel (101 in particular) was a lovely room to be in both the night before and night of our wedding; very spacious, overlooking the high street, extremely comfortable bed and various different seats and a sofa in the room were all nice touches making it feel special.
