Goldsborough Hall - The complete wedding service

We first booked our wedding for Sept 2020. Then covid struck and only politicians were allowed to party so we rebooked for Sept 2021. Sadly our best man was stranded in Australia so we had to postpone and reschedule for May 2022. None of this seemed to worry the unphaseable weddings team at Goldsborough Hall.
From our arrival, going the extra mile seemed to be the norm with extremely polite and staff who were helpful in every way.

Everything from table settings to caring for the grounds is covered and what a setting. The venue is exquisite and attention to detail is second nature to these hard working professionals.

Generally speaking nowadays it's easy to knock a product, almost trendy in fact. I can't. There was nothing to complain about.

The Halls' setting is beautiful but it was the staff that made it. They turned our special day into an extra special occasion for us and for our guests.

I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Goldsborough Hall. We will definitely be returning for our anniversaries.

A perfect day!

Alison, Mel and the team were fantastic all the way through the whole process of holding our wedding at Goldsborough. Communication was great while planning the wedding, with their experience helping us throughout and great relationships with a team of trusted suppliers making the process much easier. On the day everything ran smoothly and we had lots of compliments from our guests. The whole venue was beautifully prepared, with slick transitions as we moved through the different elements of the day. The food was couldn't have been better! The whole event went ahead as planned leaving us to enjoy the perfect day and spent time with guests. We are so glad we chose Goldsborough Hall and the team and couldn't recommend them enough. Thanks so much!

We had the perfect wedding at Goldsborough Hall and cannot thank the team enough. They are all absolutely fabulous and genuinely care about you. The grounds, Hall, food and drinks are all stunning and so so beautiful. Thank you all again xx

The best day of our lives - a stunning venue, amazing food and incredible attention to detail

We got married at Goldsborough Hall in March 2024. We secured one of the last dates in their winter wedding deal and were so impressed with the value for money compared to other venues. We had exclusive use of the venue and accommodation for the Saturday night, along with first-class food and drinks. It was the perfect size for our wedding of about 75 guests - it felt personal and intimate but with plenty of space for mingling and dancing.

The venue is stunning. There’s so much character in the drawing rooms, there’s the beautiful grounds, and the lovely orangery that’s bright even on an overcast, wet day like our wedding day. The rain didn’t spoil the day one bit!

We completely trusted Goldsborough’s wedding team from the moment we went to view the venue. They take care of every little detail, but give you space to add your own personal touches. Nothing was too much trouble. Alison was always responsive in our many email exchanges and thoroughly checked arrangements to make sure they were exactly what we wanted. Mel was incredibly reassuring in the run-up to and on the day, managing everything behind the scenes so the day was completely smooth. We knew we were in safe hands - we just needed to turn up on the day and enjoy ourselves!

The food was incredible. My husband and I are big foodies so this was very important to us. All of our guests raved about the canapés (especially the pork belly!) and the main meal. We opted for the beef fillet for our main course which was perfectly cooked. We got to enjoy a private menu tasting before the wedding which was included in our package. This was in a private dining room off the orangery and felt very personal and special in the run-up to the day itself.

The general vibe of the day was so relaxed. You might look at photos of a venue like Goldsborough and think it’s going to be super formal, but we didn’t feel this at all.

We also loved that the orangery was set up for breakfast for our friends and family the next day, it was the perfect setting for a morning-after debrief.

If you’re looking for a venue that feels personal, relaxed and beautiful, with a friendly team that will look after every detail, then we can highly recommend Goldsborough Hall.

What a venue! Just Incredible!

We looked at several venues and chose this as it just had that WOW factor!including character of the building, the surroundings, the ease of parking, the rooms, and just the feel of the place. The room for the ceremony and dancing was perfect and the orangery was just the most amazing place to have the wedding breakfast in.

Then there were the staff! They all were literally amazing and couldn’t do enough to make the day so special, even at the food tasting weeks before we stayed over and they were amazing. Speaking of food, every single guest loved it all, from canopies to the main meal, top top quality.

Alison who was the wedding coordinator was the best I could have asked for, she guided us through everything from our initial look around to helping on the day, she made everything seem so easy and was always there when I went into panic mode! I can’t recommend her and Goldsborough Hall enough! Don’t look at wedding venues without seeing this one.

Our Wedding at Goldsborough Hall (2023)

Overall our Wedding day was a success thanks to our family and friends. The Goldsborough Hall venue itself was spectacular. Unfortunately for us, on the day, they were extremely understaffed, to the extent no glasses were replenished during our drinks reception and several guests didn't get any canapés. We had problems at the bar with generally only 1 person serving for a wedding of 94 guests for the majority of the day. After our Wedding, we were faced with an extraordinarily high bar bill, which they couldn't explain in many areas. Overall, we were very disappointment and spent 7 weeks of married life trying to resolve the many issues that arose from the day, which we did eventually get some compensation for their downfalls.

Amazing from start to finish. Cannot recommend Goldsborough Hall enough!

Goldsborough offered us exactly what we wanted for a wedding venue. Exclusivity, with class and quality of service from start to finish. From the menu tasting to our big day we couldn’t have wished for anything more. Mel and Mel were amazing as hosts and communication was always excellent. The food and venue were perfect. We got married in September and can’t speak highly enough of the whole team at Goldsborough. They truly made our wedding day perfect, we had the absolute best day and the planning process in the lead up was so easy. They were always extremely responsive and knew all the answers! The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food and service incredible, all our guests were commenting on what an amazing place it was for so many reasons. We can’t thank you enough. Incredible wedding team and venue that provided the most perfect day for us.

It's going to be hard to sum up in 75 characters but here's the top highlights:
- Beautiful venue for any weather. Different rooms and areas that make the day flow seamlessly and gorgeous gardens
- Excellent, organised and attentive wedding team that walk through every detail and take so much stress out of the equation
- Food and was excellent but you do have to opt for the venues food and narrow it down to one option for everyone. We found the wine selection not quite to our taste but worked out a way to bring some of our own. The team we're flexible with exploring the options on that one.
