Goldsborough Hall - The complete wedding service

We first booked our wedding for Sept 2020. Then covid struck and only politicians were allowed to party so we rebooked for Sept 2021. Sadly our best man was stranded in Australia so we had to postpone and reschedule for May 2022. None of this seemed to worry the unphaseable weddings team at Goldsborough Hall.
From our arrival, going the extra mile seemed to be the norm with extremely polite and staff who were helpful in every way.

Everything from table settings to caring for the grounds is covered and what a setting. The venue is exquisite and attention to detail is second nature to these hard working professionals.

Generally speaking nowadays it's easy to knock a product, almost trendy in fact. I can't. There was nothing to complain about.

The Halls' setting is beautiful but it was the staff that made it. They turned our special day into an extra special occasion for us and for our guests.

I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Goldsborough Hall. We will definitely be returning for our anniversaries.

Incredible

We hired Goldsborough Hall for our wedding and cannot recommend them enough. We were so well looked after, right from the first venue viewing, through the whole process and especially on the big day. Communication was excellent, responsive to every question and 1 step ahead the whole time. The food was amazing, and got compliments from many of our guests. And that's to say nothing of how beautiful the venue is in every season. The entire team is spectacular, and so accommodating to every need. Including the slightly unexpected ones from our 5.5month old. Thank you so so much!

Just the perfect day!!

This place is fantastic!
From the moment we pulled up outside Goldsborough Hall we knew that we had found a truly magical venue for our wedding reception.
The venue itself is a breathtaking house, steeped in history with magnificent grounds, set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside. From our champagne reception on the patio amidst beautiful flowerbeds, to the stunning Orangery where we ate and the panelled library we used during the evening, Goldsborough Hall was the perfect setting. Our assigned wedding coordinator, Amanda, was brilliant. She patiently answered our endless questions, came up with imaginative solutions and helped us to create a day that was truly personal to us. Nothing was too much trouble. She was amazing.
Dan, the head chef, took time and meticulous care over our wedding breakfast and was always available to discuss even the smallest details that mattered to us. The wedding breakfast was delicious and seamless with many guests commenting on the high quality of the food and wines.
All the staff were friendly, courteous and helped make our day very special. Melanie even managed to get a muddy footprint off my wedding dress train as soon as we arrived with a reassuring smile!
Having considered alternative venues before finding Goldsborough, we were very impressed by the package that Goldborough offered us, including the use of all sixteen beautiful bedrooms for some of our guests. The entire place was ours.
Thank you to everyone at Goldsborough Hall who contributed to what was for us the perfect day. We would absolutely recommend this venue!

Summer 2025 Wedding

We cannot recommend having your wedding at Goldsborough Hall enough! From the moment we stepped into Goldsborough Hall, we knew it had to be our venue. We viewed a handful of other venues, but Goldsborough offered incredible value for money, and all of the staff we met were so friendly that we felt right at home. Even before booking with Goldsborough, their service goes above and beyond, and always comes with a smile! Goldsborough really gives a homely sense which was really important to us as we didn’t want to feel lost in our venue.

We booked the two day package due to the distance our guests were travelling, which meant we had an incredibly relaxing day before, and took the edge of the chaos that is planning a wedding! Our guests were wowed by the reception rooms, and especially the gardens which the kids loved running around in and exploring! They found their rooms very comfortable, and spacious, and it was kitted out with everything they needed.

Amanda was our wedding coordinator, and she was out of this world! No request was too big, and across the two days she was so calm and professional which really helped to ease our nerves. Amanda and the team set out the orangery for our wedding breakfast, and they hit the nail on the head with our vision. The food was phenomenal, our guests were delighted by the quality and speed with which it was served to all guests - there were only empty plates in sight! Shout out to the kitchen team for helping with even the slightest dietary requirements - everyone raved about the canapés and meals! The service of the team throughout the meal and behind the bar was amazing, again always serving with a smile!

Our day was managed seamlessly, even with the rainy Yorkshire weather in mid-July which changed a few plans, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more from the team at Goldsborough. We cannot wait to come back for the other events, and to relive some of the moments on our anniversary!

A one of a kind venue.

An incredible venue, beautiful stately home and gorgeous gardens.
The greenhouses are incredible and it's wonderful knowing some of the food is home grown. The catering was exceptional all round.
Staff were professional and attentive throughout and you feel looked after during the day so you can really enjoy your own wedding.
Beautiful suite rooms to enjoy.
Exclusive use of the venue makes it a really special day.
Lovely sized rooms and layout which allows guests to flow across different rooms, but also allows rooms and the dancefloor to be filled.

The perfect wedding!

We cannot thank the entire team at Goldsborough Hall enough for making our wedding day so special, truly a day we will never forget ❤️
From our very first meeting, we knew Goldsborough was the perfect venue. Alison immediately put us at ease, always on hand to answer questions and guiding us through the process with such professionalism and warmth. The whole team’s experience really shone through in every detail, from the planning support, to setting up for the big day, the delicious food and ensuring every guest was looked after from morning to evening. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like our menu tasting evening and making sure the bride and groom had canapés and a drink after the ceremony while photos were being taken!
We loved having the option of a relaxed meal with close family and friends the night before, and the special arrangements for the bridal party on the morning of the wedding made everything feel even more memorable.
Our guests have all commented on what a wonderful day it was, from being such a beautiful place, the atmosphere, the food, and the great service. Goldsborough Hall is a stunning place, we feel privileged to be a part of it's amazing history and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, we cannot wait to return.

A Great Winter Wedding at Goldsborough Hall

We recently celebrated our wedding at this venue, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The space itself is stunning, beautifully maintained, and created the perfect backdrop for our day. Every detail felt thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what we envisioned.

Our coordinator Alison was absolutely incredible—professional, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and handled every part of the day with calm confidence. Her support made the entire experience on the day stress-free, and we felt completely taken care of on the day itself.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. The venue, paired with such an attentive and talented coordinator, made our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a seamless and beautiful celebration.

A great winter wedding at Goldsborough Hall

We recently held our wedding at this venue and had a genuinely fantastic experience. The overall quality of service was excellent - professional, responsive, and exceptionally well organised. Alison, the wedding coordinator, in particular, was outstanding. She handled every question with patience and clarity, and her support throughout the planning process made everything feel smooth and stress-free.

The venue offered good value for money, and while the flexibility was moderate, it was generally workable. One area where we would have appreciated a little more understanding was a last-minute cancellation due to an overseas family issue. The request for a refund was denied in line with their T&Cs, which we fully recognise, but a bit of discretion given the scale of our overall spend would have gone a long way. Similarly, the corkage offering was quite restricted. That said, the chef more than made up for this with an exceptional level of flexibility, going above and beyond to tailor the menu and accommodate our preferences.

Despite a couple of limitations, the day itself was seamless, beautifully executed, and everything we hoped it would be. We’d happily recommend the venue to other couples looking for a high-quality, well-run wedding experience.

A fairy tale of a weekend

I literally don't know where to begin.
We had the most amazing weekend.
The team from start to finish where impeccable. From our very first viewing, Amanda was like a fairy godmother; nothing was too much of an ask.
We had our family and a few close friends stay with us at Goldsborough on Friday night, and everyone commented on how good the food was and how relaxed the setting felt. The staff were attentive but not imposing.

On the day of our wedding, it really did feel special from the moment we woke up to the final goodbye of the night. Mel even saved the day when we realised I had bought biodegradable confetti rather than real dried petals, because fear not, she had some spare!

Even the Sunday morning was smooth and easy when packing up to leave.

Could not recommend Goldsborough enough.

Amazing Venue!!

Absolutely no other place we'd rather have been married. They make you feel like you're the only guests at the hotel and then when wedding day comes their attention to detail is second to none.
