Our daughter and son-in-law chose Folly Farm for their Wedding Venue for this May 2024 and what an amazing venue.
The views over the Chew Valley to the lake are absolutely stunning.
We were lucky enough to have a fabulous dry, hot sunny weekend. We arrived Friday afternoon to start the 'setup' and immediately found that the staff were so kind, so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. As family guests arrived they were thrilled with their lovely decorated clean rooms. We booked Folly Farm to prepare and serve a hot meal for the Friday night. The young girls serving were excellent, the food was amazing, what a great way to start the weekend of celebrations.
The Big Day arrived, to a fabulous breakfast served by Folly Farm.
As the morning progressed Matt, the Events Manager was on hand to advise, help, nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't have organised the day without him! The Wedding ceremony was held outside in the sunshine, followed with drinks and canapes served by the staff. Then after photos we are gathered in the function room for the wedding breakfast. The food was fabulous, organised incredibly well. So some guests commented on the food. The evening party was great, Jason and his bar staff were very good, everything was perfect as well as the disco. The firepit was a great idea, so pleased we had this. Breakfast the following morning again was great, then the packing up. Can't recommend Matt and his team enough. When our daughter said she had her dream wedding, meant so much to us.

We had the absolute best day ever for our wedding at Folly Farm. It was exactly what we were hoping for. The views from the courtyard for our ceremony was stunning and the food was delicious! It was so relaxed and surrounded by the nature reserve - exactly what we wanted. We loved how the venue is sustainable, food and drinks locally sourced and all the profit goes back into the wildlife trust, which as ecologists ourselves was perfect for us. Definitely recommend :)

Two months after we booked this stunning venue, I was diagnosed with cancer. Going through treatment, unsure what the future would look like, Folly Farm were there to support us all the way. From visits with different members of my family, to talking through exactly what the day would look like step by step, the team at Folly Farm were so generous with their time and when our world around us crumbled, we knew we would still have a stunning wedding to look forward to.
And they absolutely delivered!! Matt was an absolute star, sorting our last minute issues and helping us remain calm throughout. He was flexible to our requests and made sure that everything ran smoothly. Jason supported through the evening and was friendly and approachable, ensuring that people were able to ask for anything they needed while blending into the wedding. We felt that both were able to strike a really good balance between running the days and letting things go with the flow a little.
The catering team were outstanding, the food was so delicious and plentiful and they were able to work with the extras that we wanted to bring in - Somerset strawberries, local baked goods and handmade fudge. The day went by so smoothly and we were able to enjoy it in the moment.
We booked Folly Farm for the full weekend and felt that this gave our guests a relaxed and flexible approach, with most people choosing to stay. Being able to book the whole site meant that we could have everyone join us for a relaxed bring a dish evening on the Friday, for which we really appreciated the catering kitchen. Having such a variety of spaces for the venue meant that we could set up a summer garden party vibe on the Friday in the orchard, keeping the wedding space special for the Saturday. We were also able to hire in a tipi for the top lawn to create a chill out zone for families.
If you are making a decision about where to book for your wedding, you must add Folly to your list for a visit. When we visited, we fell in love with the view and the venue as well as the flexibility that such a variety of spaces allowed us. Being able to host almost everyone on one site brought such a special feeling to our wedding and meant that we had more time with people who had travelled so far to see us. The team make sure everything runs smoothly, with a confident schedule and contact for all suppliers, and also the ability to make you feel like your wedding is special and personalised to you.

We had our special day at Folly farm on the 4th May 2024. The staff definitely went above and beyond for us and our family and friends during our weekend wedding stay. The food and drink throughout the weekend, including breakfast, canapés, wedding breakfast and buffet were of very high quality. Would 100% recommend Folly Farm as a wedding venue, had the most perfect, amazing day!

A stunning venue that has everything you could ask for. The deciding factor for us was accommodating 50 loved ones to stay onsite the entire weekend. It was perfect for our international loved ones. We also got to self-cater for half the time, then leave the rest to the professionals. The facilities were on point, and everything was seamless. The venue is lush, but you can completely transform it into whatever your heart desires. The team will accommodate your every wish, no matter the weather! Cannot recommend it enough!

I absolutely adored the venue. It really did look as if we were abroad! Everything was so relaxed and I truly had nothing to worry about, as Folly Farm took all of our props/decorations and sorted everything behind the scenes. The food was delicious from Thyme Chef, with lots of compliments from our guests! Would definitely recommend! Xx

We had a wonderful weekend wedding at Folly. It felt like a holiday for those staying from Friday to Sunday as we self catered Friday, with catered breakfasts Saturday and Sunday and all the trimmings Saturday.

The food is through their caterer and probably one of the nicest wedding foods we've ever had. Everyone raved about our wedding breakfast and they accommodated those with dietary needs very well. The drinks package was generous.

We were able to create the day that best suit us. Unfortunately it rained so we could not get married outside but the team were very good at leaving it to the last possible minute to make a decision whether we were getting married inside or outside. And the indoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful.

We can't thank everyone at Folly enough. It is a beautiful and unique venue that our guests and ourselves absolutely loved, and allowed us to create a wedding that was quintessentially 'us'.

Claire, Adelaide and their team at Folly were so helpful and accommodating. They looked after us throughout our wedding planning and our special day. Everything flowed smoothly and it was a relaxed experience from the start. Nothing was too much trouble and Claire was able to suggest alternatives for our wedding. Folly is a very beautiful place with a beautiful outlook across Blagdon. Our day was too windy to be outside so the ceremony was indoors, which actually made it more intimate. We loved everything about Folly.

The staff at Folly Farm really look after you all the way through the process. The venue is beautiful, relaxed whilst providing a fun atmosphere. The food is excellent and all of our guests have commented on this.

We recently held our wedding at Folly Farm Centre and had a super experience from beginning to end. We fell in love with the place from the moment with saw it and our families did too. Everything was just perfect and couldn’t ask for anything better. Clare, Sasha, Jason and the team were simply amazing at what they do to provide an exceptional service. Clare and Sasha were extremely helpful in the planning our wedding and on the actual day. The whole team went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that we could relax and enjoy the day to the fullest.
The venue itself is beautiful and allows you the freedom to put your own stamp on the decorations and having the opportunity for our friends and family to stay at the venue made the celebrations really special. Our only down point about the venue is the rooms within the main farmhouse. They need a bit of updating and some TLC. All of our friends and family have described it as the most chilled wedding ever which is exactly what we had hoped for, we loved every minute and couldn’t have wished for more. The food, from Thyme Chef (Folly's recommended caterers) was incredible, including breakfast on the Wednesday. I can honestly say the pie and mash went down a storm at the wedding reception.

We had a fantastic wedding here in Dec 2022. Team were amazing. They helped us make the weekend exactly how I envisioned it. We stayed from Friday to Sunday. Breakfast for everyone on the Saturday and Sunday was beautiful. Food during the wedding reception was amazing. So much food!!!

So pleased we chose Folly Farm, it has the most beautiful settings over looking the valley. Matt and the staff were extremely helpful, going that extra mile making everything go the way we imagined. But the food…Wow, it was incredible! Everyone was saying how it’s the best wedding meal they have ever tasted! So so good and so much too no one went hungry!

When we first took a look around Folly we knew it was the venue we'd wanted.
In the build up to the day, through the planning and on the day itself the team were amazing, very helpful in answering questions and making things clear.
The onsite accommodation is good and kitchen facilities are great for self catering.
Venue hire was reasonable (given it included the onsite accommodation).
Their on house catering team Thyme chef is awesome. Amazing food

Folly Farm orchestrated the perfect wedding stay for us. The team were brilliant at making our timeline and different rooms work for us and our guests. They were so professional and really helped to keep a calm, happy atmosphere, even when dealing with unplanned mishaps.

We can’t thank the team enough for the quick and clear communication from the moment we booked the venue, to the morning after our wedding.

Our guests were blow away by the views and the walks around the barn and we have the most incredible pictures that capture how beautiful the farmhouse, barn and nature reserve is.

The food! The food at folly farm was delicious. Our guests are still talking about the pies, the pizza and the canapés.

We got married at Folly Farm in October 2023 and the entire wedding (all the way from the initial planning to the actual day) was absolutely fantastic. Clare and her team are so great and so flexible, I really do believe they want you to have the best day, which I don't think a lot of places can honestly say.

Folly Farm is incredibly good value for money and effort. I am not saying it's cheap, because it's not, but it is a lot cheaper than many other venues that I don't think are as good in my own opinion. It has beautiful scenery surrounding it and has some wonderful amenities. We had our reception in the Barn, and stayed the entire weekend. All our guests loved being able to stay on site and we had the best time of our lives that weekend.

We booked an extra night as it just gave us a little bit more time to clear up and enjoy the weekend without it feeling like a huge rush. I would recommend doing that if you want a more chilled experience.

One thing to mention is the food is absolutely incredible. Clare and her team are proper chefs, and they produce some of the best food I have ever eaten in the UK. One thing that all our guests said was how good the food was. The only teeny tiny problem was that there was probably too much, so remind your guests about this.

Overall I cannot recommend Folly Farm enough. It's a beautiful venue, it has everything you need and you will be taken care of. 100% recommend.
