My husband and I got married at Folly Farm on 4th July 2026 and had THE most amazing weekend. From arriving on site on the Friday afternoon through to Sunday morning check-out, everything was perfect and Matt, Clare and team ensured everything we asked for was achieved. Including the glorious weather! :)
The guest feedback about the venue and food was so positive and we've been re-living the weekend through photos ever since.
It's such a special location and the team really worked hard to answer all our questions in the run up, and to accommodate any requests we had, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best weekend possible with minimal stress.
It was so special to have the majority of friends and family onsite for the whole weekend which took away stress from organising taxis/designated drivers etc.
We couldn't recommend this venue enough. We'd do it all again if we could, even for the views alone! -

We got married at the beautiful venue of Folly Farm in May 2026. Matt and the team were very attentive throughout the entire process and every little detail was planned which allowed our wedding day to run so smoothly (with the Folly Farm working tirelessly and discretely in the background!). We had an idea of how we wanted the day to run but appreciated the helpful suggestions Matt would give from his extensive experience.
The food provided by the in-house Thyme Chef at Folly Farm was incredible, and it was very beneficial to have a taste-testing session to ensure the menu was perfect.
We booked out the available accommodation on site which allowed both families to mix the night before the wedding which added to the celebrations. The use of the kitchen/outside seating area was a good focal area for meals the night before and morning after.
Folly Farm is set in a beautiful landscape that has made our wedding photos look awesome. As the venue is set in a Nature Reserve with plenty to explore, we look forward to visiting and reminiscing in years to come. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a down-to-earth, relaxed, and personal, wedding! -

We were drawn to the idea of having all our guests stay on site(small wedding of around 50 people) and the option to have the evening before the wedding to celebrate with a BBQ. This whole set up made it feel more homey and relaxing in the lead up to the ceremony. The team worked hard to facilitate our ceremony in the courtyard after a drizzly, windy morning! They were professional and also great at checking in on how we were coping with the craziness of the day. A wonderful choice for a magical day! -

The short version of this review is: you should definitely have your wedding at Folly Farm. The staff, food and venue are exceptional.
Here are a few more details if you need convincing.
The venue: the photos on their website speak for themselves but the real thing is even better Stunning views of Somerset, lush green surroundings, beautiful stone buildings. We barely needed any decorations because the place itself is so breathtaking.
The staff: from the moment we booked 14 months before the day, to the day itself, they were available for chats and to help us organise every last detail. They were so professional, kind and helpful and made sure everything was perfect (from herding guests to the right place to serving the food and making sure our music cues were hit). We knew we were in good hands and for that reason were able to relax and enjoy the day. Thank you everyone and in particular Matthew and Jason.
The food: half of our guests were from France and they were all extremely impressed with the food. That should tell you something! The lamb was particularly popular.
We still can't believe how perfect everything was and we can't recommend this venue enough -

The venue were amazing from start to finish, they were willing to let us have multiple viewings and were happy to answer all of our questions. We had a large number of guests staying over friday night and several of them commented on how nice the rooms were. The staff were present and very helpful with any issues that cropped up. We had catered food on the friday night which was delicious and very plentiful.
We got married on the Saturday and the satff were great then too, very helpful with the organisation and flow of the day. Extra big thanks to Matt and Jason! -

Folly Farm was an excellent venue choice for our wedding day. They were very attentive to our needs, changing some of the timings to their normal format. They were very organised and the day ran smoothly without a hitch. It was a beautiful venue with plenty of space for our 60 guests, with some choosing to stay overnight. There was plenty of food and the evening fire pit on a cold spring evening. Matthew was there on the day to keep us informed and ensure everything went according to plan and was a very reassuring presence. The location is wonderful with views over Chew Valley lake and you feel very much surrounded by nature. Knowing that profits contribute to the Avon Wildlife Trust was an added bonus for us, with food sourced locally. There was plenty of food which our guests found to be delicious and made a point of telling us. -
