Our wedding day at Dunedin Country House was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, the setting was absolutely beautiful and felt so special and personal.
One of the most important things for us was having a fully gluten-free wedding day, and Dunedin went above and beyond to make this happen. Every part of the menu was completely gluten free, giving us total peace of mind and allowing all of our guests to relax and enjoy the food without worry. The care, knowledge, and attention to detail shown by the team was exceptional and made such a difference to us.
The staff were professional, warm, calm, and incredibly attentive throughout the day. Everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning the venue was and how smoothly the day flowed.
We will cherish our wedding at Dunedin forever and cannot recommend it highly enough—especially for couples looking for a beautiful venue that can confidently and safely cater for a wedding with dietary requirements. We had our wedding day at Dunedin Country House on 24th April 2026. It was truly everything we had ever dreamed of! Incredible venue, friendly and helpful staff from start to finish made everything feel like a breeze! Couldn’t recommend Dunedin and the Dunedin team enough. If you’re considering Dunedin as your wedding venue I can strongly recommend it! We had the most wonderful day and night where nothing was too much trouble and everything was thought about and organised before I could even ask if it had been! Beth makes the difference and was incredibly attentive without being intrusive. She is patient, professional and knowledgeable. The venue is perfect if you have older guests coming due to the bar area being away from the main room, this gave a quiet area for them to escape the chaos of the night do! Very often “wedding food” is a bit rubbish, not here! It was a highlight. Top quality, hot and beautifully presented. The hotel rooms are also another strong point, all individual themes with the most comfortable beds. If we were able to do it again next weekend we would 100% choose Dunedin again!! 💖Dunedin Country House's reply:

I started my day off with my bridesmaids, in one of Duneden's very smart and comfortable adjoining lodges, where I had also spent the night before which made my day a lot more relaxing as I didn't have far to go to get married .
From start to finish our wedding day was amazing and this wouldn't have been so if not for both Helen and Beth. Helen is the owner and Beth is Duneden's Wedding Planner who is cool, calm and very knowledgeable and knows her stuff. This transcended across to both myself and my partner keeping us chilled at this very stressful time, as being a first time bride at the age of 66 and acquiring a pension and a husband in the same year lol, this must have been a challenge for her 😂.
They listened to what we wanted and did all they could, and more, to make our wishes come true.
The venue is beautiful and we were favoured with lovely weather so we got married outside in the delightful manicured gardens, then we moved inside for our wedding breakfast which was truly delicious and all our guests commented on how they enjoyed it.
We couldn't recommend this venue highly enough and, I'm sure if you choose to have your special day at Duneden House, you will be as delighted as we were with the surroundings, ambiance and most of all the friendly and most efficient staff who looked after us on our very special day making everything go so smoothly.

I really can’t even begin to describe how perfect our day was at Dunedin.
From our first wedding fair there, to leaving the morning after our wedding everything was just effortless.
The incredible Beth talked us through every option with ease and made our dreams realities.
The run up to the day was easy- with great communication and clarity.
The day itself…. Perfect.
From waking up in the beautiful Ivory room the day was a dream. The staff cannot do enough to help and make your day perfect and I was touched that a lovely staff member even came to bring me a juice as I was sitting outside treasuring every second of my wedding day (in my PJs!) at around 5.30am (August wedding! 🤭) and we had a wonderful breakfast to start the day.
Getting ready in the beautiful rooms was a treat in itself and again, Beth was there, ready to organise and help as we needed her between busily preparing the room for the ceremony. The rooms and venue as a whole- stunning and an absolute pleasure to enjoy.
The caterers and bar staff all go above and beyond with taste and presentation an obvious must for them. Everything was delicious and served with style and professional grace from staff.
The ceremony was faultless in the beautiful surroundings and the photos were fabulous in all the varied backdrops Dunedin has to offer.
Fabulous disco on the night along with more incredible food and beautiful rooms for our guests. We truly couldn’t be more grateful to Beth and everyone else at Dunedin who truly made our day more perfect than we could’ve ever dreamt of. We truly wouldn’t change a single thing.
Our other vendors used at the venue and highly recommended were: Peony & Pearl, Stephanie Harpist, Kerry Scorah Magician, The Wedding Games Company, Facebloke Caricatures and Ami’s Kitchen for the cake.Dunedin Country House's reply:

We had the most special and unforgettable day at Dunedin Country House. The venue itself is absolutely stunning — elegant, full of character, and beautifully maintained — yet still offered at a price that truly doesn’t break the bank. It gave us that luxury feel without the overwhelming cost.
A very special thank you to Beth, who supported us from the very first booking appointment right through to our wedding day. Her communication, patience and reassurance made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. On the day itself, the team went above and beyond — even helping a slightly panicked bride get dressed and assisting with décor setup!

Dunedin was the first and only wedding venue we visited, but from the moment we arrived, we knew it was the one. From the welcoming staff to the beautiful grounds, delicious food, gorgeous guest rooms and thoughtful details throughout the venue, everything felt just right.
Beth, Chloe, Helen and the team at Dunedin were an absolute joy to work with. They are friendly, calm, and super organised, they made the whole process feel so seamless and enjoyable. Their genuine care for each couple and every guest who walks through the door really shines through - they truly want your day to be as magical as possible.
The venue itself is stunning - the perfect balance of space and intimacy, allowing all our favourite people to be together without feeling overwhelmed. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, so we made full use of the gorgeous grounds during both the ceremony and into the evening. The photos captured with all that vibrant greenery are something we’ll treasure forever.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, intimate venue run by a team who truly care, we can’t recommend Dunedin enough. They go above and beyond to make your wedding day unforgettable.
