We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue than Dorfold Hall for our wedding day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but what really made it special was the incredible team and staff.

From start to finish, everything ran so smoothly and we felt completely looked after. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They made the whole day feel effortless, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment.

And the food was absolutely incredible! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was, and it really was a highlight of the day.

Dorfold Hall provided the most amazing setting for our wedding, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll always look back on our day there with the happiest memories!

Prep area, the ceremony, the drinks reception and last but not least the food during our meal. We are big foodies and so are our friends and family, they all complimented the food so highly and said it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had!

We had such an amazing wedding thanks to the team at Dorfold. The venue is stunning, but the thing that really makes it is the people. Laura, Arianna, and Felicity have been amazing from day 1, and they were truly invested in us and our wedding, making it so special. Thank you so much for making our day the best day ever.

Dorfold was the first venue that we visited and we didnt view any other venues after it as in our search, no no others came close. It is a stunning venue - the old and the modern work so well. The buildings and grounds are just gorgeous. The staff couldnt have looked after us better from the first day we visited, to the day we left after our wedding day - they were so attentive and absolutely on the ball - they made the day seem so calm and effortless - which of course was down to their amazing organisation. The food was absolutely gorgeous and lots of it. All our guests have told us it was the best wedding they have been to, and the best food they have ever had at a wedding venue. I 100% recommend Dorfold for your wedding - absolutely faultless. We had the most amazing, special day.

From the moment we first visited, we knew Dorfold was somewhere special, but nothing could have prepared us for just how perfect our wedding day would be.

The venue itself is simply stunning. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside at the back of the hall, and it was everything we’d imagined - romantic, peaceful and set against the most beautiful backdrop. One of the biggest reasons we fell in love with Dorfold was how effortlessly it blends the elegance of the hall with the gorgeous modern buildings and outdoor spaces. We wanted an indoor-outdoor feel to our day, and it delivered that and so much more.

One of our favourite moments was seeing the chefs cooking our dry-aged sirloin steaks on the outdoor BBQ while guests enjoyed the drinks reception. It created such a lovely atmosphere, with everyone gathering around watching the food being prepared in real time. It felt relaxed, interactive and completely different from a traditional wedding breakfast.

The food deserves a review of its own. Without question, it was the thing our guests have talked about most since the wedding. We worked with the team to create a slightly more bespoke menu, and every single course exceeded our expectations.

The canapés during the drinks reception were incredible, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about them… the Karaage Chicken with wasabi mayo and upgrade to add on Crispy Layered Potatoes with rare roast beef & Béarnaise is a must!! We then served dry-aged sirloin steak with chimichurri alongside rotisserie chicken with herb butter, giving everyone a beautiful selection of meats. The Gratin Dauphinoise was honestly one of the best potato dishes we’ve ever eaten, while the Tenderstem broccoli and marinated tomato salad were equally delicious.

The biggest surprise was our dessert. We’d originally asked whether tiramisu could be offered later in the evening as it’s one of our favourite desserts, but the chefs suggested creating it as our wedding dessert instead. It wasn’t even on the menu, yet they happily made it especially for us. It was beautifully light, fluffy and absolutely delicious, and our guests are still mentioning it now. That willingness to personalise the menu made our day feel so unique.

Before the wedding we’d had a small concern about there being enough comfortable seating outside for some of our older guests during the drinks reception, but we needn’t have worried. On the day there were beautiful outdoor sofa sets, which worked perfectly and meant everyone could relax and enjoy the drinks reception in the main courtyard.

Wedding planning naturally comes with a few worries and unknowns, but when the day arrived, Dorfold simply made everything happen. Everything flowed so effortlessly that we were able to switch off and enjoy every moment, knowing the team had everything under control behind the scenes.

Arianna, Laura and Felicity were exceptional. They coordinated all of our suppliers seamlessly, kept everything running to time and were constantly checking in to make sure we had drinks, asking whether we needed anything and ensuring we could simply enjoy our day. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their calm, friendly approach made such a difference.

We also can’t recommend Dorfold’s Feast Nights enough. They’re such a brilliant way to experience the incredible food and wine before your wedding and really helped us make our menu decisions. What makes them even more special is knowing that we’ll be able to return in the future and relive little parts of our wedding day through the same amazing food, wines and atmosphere. We can’t think of many wedding venues where you can revisit and reconnect with those memories in such a meaningful way.

To everyone at Dorfold, thank you. You didn’t just provide us with a beautiful venue - you created an unforgettable experience. Every member of the team made us feel completely looked after, every detail was taken care of, and every one of our guests left saying it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to. We honestly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else, and if we could do it all again tomorrow, we’d choose Dorfold in a heartbeat!

The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. It’s even more stunning in person, and we still can’t quite believe we were lucky enough to get married there. Every part of the grounds and interiors created the most perfect setting, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was.
On the day itself, everything ran flawlessly. Laura, Felicity, Arianna and all of the staff were amazing—so attentive, kind, and always there when needed, while allowing us to fully enjoy every moment. We felt completely looked after from start to finish.

The food was another huge highlight. It was exceptional, and our guests are still talking about it. Particular favourites were the olives, broccoli, roast potatoes and the brownie—which may genuinely have been the best brownie we’ve ever had!

Our wedding day was better than we could ever have imagined, and so much of that is thanks to the wonderful team at Dorfold. We’ve been on cloud nine ever since. If you’re considering Dorfold for your wedding venue, book it—you will not regret it.
