The Setting
Our beloved country house is set within 50 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside and boasts stunning ceremony spots, rambling gardens and an array of function facilities including our gorgeous 17th century converted barn. As the former home of the Marquis of Ormonde, our venue has a grand yet homely feel with quirky and eccentric surprises at every turn. Built in 1880 as a residential property; we magically manage to offer a layout that feels purpose built for weddings - offering separate spaces for the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, as well as accommodation for your wedding guests.
We are independently owned and like to think we are a little bit different from other wedding venues. We offer our couples the freedom and flexibility to make our house feel like their home for the day and are able to offer both exclusive and non-exclusive use as well as cater for weddings large and small..

Sensational wedding venue!
We had our Wedding at Cantley House Hotel on the 21st August 2025 and if only we could turn back time and do it all over again EXACTLY the same. Zoe, our Wedding Coordinator was flawless in all she did for us. Nothing was too much trouble and it genuinely felt like one of our friends was working behind the scenes. Dianne was also impeccable in all she did for us. I can't wait to go back even if it's just for a drink and to reminisce of our incredible day. Seamless from start to finish!!

Perfect venue
We got married here in April, we couldn't have asked for more. All the staff were friendly and accommodating
Zoe was our wedding coordinator and made it stress free. The morning of the wedding she calmed my nerves and made me feel at ease.
The food was amazing. The whole day was absolutely perfect thanks to Zoe and the staff at Cantley house. Tristan who ran the bar also deserves a special mention.

Totally beautiful wedding location
We had our Wedding at Cantley in April 2026, and we couldn’t be happier with the day. From start to finish Lara, our wedding coordinator was helpful, organised and totally supported us to create our dream day. The venue is stunning, and the whole wedding team really know their stuff! The staff were so friendly and our guests had the best time and stay. We had fabulous feedback from our guests. The food was delicious and we found the wedding package we got to be of good value for money. We cannot thank every person enough for making our dream day possible. Highly recommend!!

Wedding review
We had our wedding at Cantley house hotel this March. Lara who helped us plan our day was amazing from start to finish. The attention to detail is second to none. We told her what we wanted and she put it all into a plan. On the day everything was organised down to the finest detail so we just had to worry about ourselves. We hired the whole hotel which was amazing as our guests could totally relax and our children felt safe. The food was awesome, the bedrooms luxurious. Couldn't recommend enough.

A wonderful wedding at Cantley House Hotel
Cantley House Hotel, specifically Emma, made planning the wedding a dream from the initial meeting to the big day. Emma has always been on hand to answer all questions and put together our plan for the day.
Cantley House offer a range of packages to fit to your budget including micro wedding, exclusive hire, and midweek/Sunday. All additional charges are priced and agreed upon ahead of time.
We were able to set up the ceremony room the evening before and store boxes for the day in the hotel overnight. We were even able to store the cakes in the function fridge the night before. Emma was on hand to help in the morning as the groom and friends set up the briar room for the wedding breakfast. This ensured everyone had plenty of time to get ready before the ceremony.
Dianne and the team ensured the smooth running of the day and made the two of us feel relaxed and spoiled. As we exited the ceremony in the oak room she was waiting with a mug of mulled cider for us both and ensured a plate of canapés were behind the bar for us after photos.
Our room for the night and breakfast were included in the package. There was a whirlpool bath in our room which was perfect for relaxing in. Breakfast was in the stables restaurant with continental buffet and hot food options to order. It was exactly what was needed after a day of celebration.
I can’t recommend Cantley House enough from the support during the planning to the seamless execution of the day.

Wedding of our dreams!
I would highly recommend Cantley House Hotel for your wedding venue, it was the most perfect wedding day from start to finish and all guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was.
We were married in the Oak Room - absolutely stunning room. The Briar Barn for our wedding breakfast - again absolutely beautiful. Our bedroom suite was lovely, huge comfortable bed with a newly refurbished bathroom with a spa bathtub and a walk-in shower, beautiful grounds for your photos too!
The staff are exceptional, Emma our wedding organiser and Diane and the team on our wedding day were just fantastic, warm friendly smiles, they couldn't do more for us and made sure our day went smoothly. The wedding food was delicious - compliments to the chefs too!

Brilliant venue, attentive staff
The staff were super attentive, and they were always there when we needed them. Everyone was really friendly, and we had a few last minute changes that they were happy to honour for us. Lara was also amazing at answering all our questions leading up to the day.
The food was absolutely delicious, and we heard so many guests compliment it. They took great care of our things, and everything was left in one place for us to collect the following day. We booked the DJ through the venue too. And he was brilliant, took all the requests, and kept the floor alive. He also skipped any songs we didn’t like.

A perfect venue for a perfect day
I would highly recommend Cantley for your wedding day. It has so many different parts of the venue to make the day feel together but not boring. e..g we were married in the Oak Room, had a reception out on the lawn, moved to the barn for the dinner, then drinks in the Drawing Room, a party in the reconfigured barn and finally breakfast in the morning in the Stables.
I am a bit of a nervous person, especially when it comes to logistics and was worried I would spend the day thinking about the little things, but the staff are so incredibly competent and caring that I didn't give anything a second thought once we began!
I'm so so happy and can't recommend them enough!

Absolutely perfect wedding day
We had our wedding on Friday 26/09 at Cantley House and were not disappointed. We went with the exclusive package meaning we had full access to the venue and all rooms. This was so lovely knowing only our guests would be in the hotel. From first visit to the wedding Emma was so helpful and accommodating. The wedding day was beautiful and exactly what we wanted thanks to Emma, Diane and the team. All our guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how perfect the day was.

Perfect Wedding Venue
We recently got married at Cantley House Hotel and we couldn't recommend them more. We fell in love with the venue, it was just what we were looking for. Plenty of options for sun or rain and plenty of rooms for our guests to stay.
Emma, our wedding organiser, was so incredibly helpful, from our first meeting to on the big day. Everything ran so smoothly, any hiccups were rectified and all queries handled well. We always felt like we were in good hands.
The entire team at Cantley, especially Dianne, are lovely. It really felt like they wanted us to have the best day.

Our dream wedding!
We had our wedding here in August 2025 and it was brilliant! Our ceremony was outdoors on the lawn using the bandstand which was beautiful and our wedding breakfast and evening do in the Briar Barn. We would definitely recommend getting married here! There is a dedicated events planner to help organise and there were several wedding packages to choose from. Guests could stay at the venue and the rooms were really nice. It is a lovely location next to a meadow and has a long tree lined drive both of which were ideal for photos. There is plenty of free parking onsite.

The Perfect Wedding Day
Our wedding planner Lara and the rest of the team at Cantley House Hotel did such an amazing job of organising our wedding day.
Lara did a wonderful job of organising the entire day, making us feel reassured and informed the whole time leading up to it. We were able to relax and enjoy the day without having to worry about a thing.
Diane was on hand throughout the day making sure everything ran smoothly and on time, and was so friendly and supportive throughout. The lady on reception did a great job managing our different playlists for the ceremony with impeccable timing, and was really helpful whenever we had any questions.
Everyone loved the food, the restaurant and bar staff were great and the DJ did a fantastic job as well, which made for a very lively evening reception.
The venue was perfect, just the right size for our number of guests - we chose the micro wedding package for 30 people during the day and invited the rest of our family and friends to the evening reception. The package was such good value for money and was perfect for accommodating our modest budget.
We will definitely be recommending Cantley House to all of our friends and family that are looking for wedding venues in Berkshire.
