Myself and my now wife fell in love with the Connaught as soon as we saw it. We knew it was the perfect venue for us to share our special day with our friends and family. From the moment we booked our big day, Maria and the team were brilliant, making sure our needs were met and came together to great the perfect day.

Maria - Helping plan the wedding all the way from the beginning , you couldn’t have asked for a more professional and friendly person. She ensured all our needs were met, nothing was ever to much and she was always there when we needed her, nothing is ever to big or small. Great communication through out, doesn’t matter by phone, email or face to face she always made time for us. We can’t thank her enough for her hard work, dedication and commitment to our day.

Simon - again, just like Maria, serval years of experience running hotels and weddings, that showed in his will to go the extra mile when needed. Simon is very approachable and came up with some ideas that we hadn’t thought of previously as we got closer to the wedding to ensure our day was a perfect as possible.

Tom - on the day Tom was incredible, he introduced himself on the day and said “I will look after you today, anything you need come to me” and he lived up to every word. He made sure both me and my wife had everything we needed, if that was some time together away from everyone else to take in the day, ensure we had drinks at every opportunity and just general checking in throughout, running around all day, a very hard working person and great at what he does.

Kev - a few days before we were allowed to take all our bits for the wedding, such as stuff for the tables, sweets for an evening pick n mix and all the other million and one things you are going to need. From the moment we met Kev he had the biggest smile, very welcoming and again nothing was too much trouble. Kev made sure the ceremony room was set up, the wedding breakfast and then turning that around for the reception in the evening. He was there from beginning to end on the day to ensure everything was set up of how we dreamt of.

All of the staff were amazing and helped created our special day, and a wider thank you to the bar staff, Waitresses, and kitchen staff for your hard work and dedication.

We had 63 guests to the day and the ceremony was held in the Blakes suite which was the perfect size for this amount of people (could have held more if needed). When set up it felt very intimate and looked more amazing than we could have imagined.

We moved in to Franklyn suite for our breakfast and evening reception (which by the evening we had 85 guests in total). Again a great space, we had plenty of room even after a Photo Booth, pick n mix table, evening buffet, Dj, tables/chairs and a Mr & Mrs light up sign, the room still had plenty of space and with the outside court yard makes it feel even bigger.

For the wedding breakfast we had chicken skewers to start, lamb for main and brownie for dessert, the for again was nice, good turn around for our guests ensuring food was out efficiently as possible, meaning we had plenty of time for speeches after.

Overall this was the prefect day for us, every member of staff is fantastic in their own individual ways. A great team, fantastic venue which has truly given us memories for life. Thank to everyone at the Connaught who worked on the 2nd August 2026, without you our dream days wouldn’t have been possible.

We had a wonderful wedding day at The Connaught Hotel, beyond our wildest imaginations. To a person, our 100 day guests and 150 evening guests were catered for excellently. Maria and her staff provided a throughly professional, efficient yet personalised service throughout every aspect of the wedding, from planning through to the ceremony, reception and even in to making us feel relaxed and welcome the day after. Our wedding was in the Brasserie, which was a magnificent setting with hanging chandelier in a dome central to the room, complimented by the hotel's simple but effective decoration package. They were extremely welcoming to our outside suppliers who helped provide the perfect finish to our wedding room.

The hotel setup was perfect for family needs, with incredible wheelchair access throughout, as it is completely flat (groom's mother needed this). On top of this, the food was incredible and dietary were catered for impeccably. They responded to our request to be nut-free, catered for specific needs (vegan and coeliac), and even showed guests around the evening buffet to explain what they could and couldn't eat. It was this type of personal touch that made The Connaught the perfect place for our wedding.

Our wedding was a long time in the planning but Maria and all the staff were so welcoming, responded promptly to emails and phone requests for information and assistance. The team felt more likely a family than a workforce in all our dealings with them. Even the faces didn't cha get in all the time we were in contact with them. We had one minor hiccup on the day but this was dealt with so effectively and showed how hard-working The Connaught staff were being the scenes because the necessary must have taken place whilst we actually getting married.

We would wholeheartedly recommend The Connaught Hotel as a wedding venue to anyone. It was a special setting for us and we will continue to visit on many an anniversary.

We recently hosted our wedding at Best Western Plus The Connaught Hotel and Spa and it was an absolute dream from start to finish! The entire events team went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was seamless and stress-free. A massive, heartfelt thank you goes to Kevin (Kev) and Tom, who truly made our day extra special with their incredible support, warmth, and attentiveness. Our guests were blown away by the gorgeous venue spaces, the wonderful food, and the flawless service. The overall experience was simply perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better team or place to celebrate our big day!

Our wedding day at the Connaught Hotel was, without question, the best day of our lives, and we cannot thank the entire team enough for making it so unforgettable.

From the very beginning, everything was handled with such professionalism, warmth and genuine care. A very special thank you to Maria and Tom, who were nothing short of exceptional throughout the entire planning process and on the day itself. They made everything feel effortless, ensuring every detail ran seamlessly so that Lewis and I could simply relax and enjoy every moment together.

Every single member of staff went above and beyond for us and our guests, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. So many of our family and friends commented on how wonderful the hotel, the staff and the atmosphere were, and we couldn’t agree more.

We also have to thank Maria and Tom for embracing our slightly ridiculous sense of humour and becoming willing accomplices in pranking the best man! They threw themselves into it with such good spirit, and it genuinely became one of the funniest moments of the day. It was the icing on the cake and perfectly summed up how invested they were in making our wedding feel personal, relaxed and full of joy.

We held our wedding at the Connaught hotel on Saturday 20/6/26.
We immediately fell in love with the place, layout, atmosphere and staff. We checked out quite a few others in the area but none matched up for us.
There was 14 months from booking to the date we chose for the ceremony and we dealt with same people the whole time, who were so extremely lovely.
We held our ceremony for 65 guests outside, such a beautiful setting.
Then the breakfast and evening party in the Franklyn suite.
I cannot put into words how wonderful a day we had.
Everything about the hotel would receive a 10 from me.
However, the thing that sends this place soaring above the others is the staff. Everyone was exceptional from bar staff, waiters but mainly...

Cristina who showed us around, gave us the answers to all the questions and greeted us on so many occasions and in the day.
Kevin, the man that can and very much does! Sorting all the physical parts of the wedding.
Tom who was our coordinator on the day. Getting everyone (including us) where they needed to be and when.
The chef who created three courses of delectable delights, which EVERY single guest commented on.
And most importantly Maria the general manager. Who even though she had a hotel to run ALWAYS had time for us. Planned the whole day and put up with our questions. Many things she mentioned that we hadn't even thought of.
And they all did it with the hugest of ease. So professional, extremely helpful, friendly but also incredibly happy. I have never been to a place where the whole staff were so extremely delightful. They have largely elevated our wedding day. They all made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. They will be a part of our memories forever.

The Wedding was perfect, nothing was too much trouble for the hotel , Maria the manager is fantastic, I have special needs children and she looked after them both when they were crying and being overwhelmed and this was going on while I got married . She is a credit to the hotel , professional and kind and so thoughtful.
Tom looked after us throughout day and early evening, he was so amazing and kind and friendly , a great host , service , food , room fantastic .
Our lovely bar and food people were also brilliant.

Stayed the night before so got to go in the pool/hot tub etc loved having a balcony in the room nice big tv I also upgraded so nice and spacious for me and bridesmaids to get ready in and lovely big tub! As for the day was beautiful! The staff were incredible could never do enough to help had breakfast in the room which felt like a treat! Ceremony went really well everyone was so organised in helping it all go down correctly. Food at the wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious and the dj in evening was awesome played all the songs I wanted and was so friendly! Would like to especially thank Maria if you have her organising your big day you’re in good hands and she is only ever an email away to ask questions which I did a lot haha thank you to all the staff who made our day so special!

We had the most wonderful experience at the Connaught. From our initial meeting with Maria, to the day itself and everything in between, we were so well looked after. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and nothing was too difficult for them. The staff made our vision of the table decorations come together and were on hand 24/7 on the day. They were attentive, professional, and above all friendly and a good laugh. We could not recommend the Connaught more as a both a hotel and wedding venue.

The day was fabulous and all staff where very communitive. Very well presented, tidy & clean. Great relaxed environment and made us feel at ease. All guests that attended our wedding stayed the night at the hotel and where very pleased with the accommodation.

Our vision for our day truly came to life, we had a non traditional theme, I called it ‘celestial dark romance’ and with the help of an event decor company it came together perfectly with The Connaught.
Fantastic value for money, delicious food, and Maria and the team were super helpful, even though we booked for far in advance!

Our Halloween wedding at the connaught was day of our dreams. Maria, Kevin and Tom have special mentions for making us all feel so special and Kev is an absolute artist, he made my spooky vision come to life. The atmosphere was amazing, all the staff were wonderful, the food was incredible and we couldnt have picked a nicer hotel to spend our special day in. Thank you so much to everyone who worked so hard for us. We cant wait to come back and make more memories in our beautiful wedding venue 🩷

When we visited the Connaught we knew straight away this is where we wanted to get married.

We had a few unusual requests when planning our wedding compared to most, such as asking to measure their lift and check out the bedrooms as we were ensuring it was suitable for my bridesmaid who uses a powerchair. They couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried.

Maria ensured the day run perfectly however all the staff were absolutely brilliant. I cant remember the guys name however there was one guy who stood out he was there all day, he brought our breakfast to our room in the morning, helped with my train on several occasions throughout the day, sometimes I didn't realize he was there helping I didn't need to ask he was brilliant. All the staff were more than accommodating. I am not a person who enjoys heat, they saw this in the ceremony and ensured there was plenty of fans in the wedding breakfast and reception room.

From the moment we first visited, we fell in love with the hotel. The venue was warm and welcoming, Maria and the whole team were 2nd to none, and we knew that this would become our venue. Throughout the whole process, Maria and her team could not have done more to guide us through all our planning - nothing was too much trouble, Our day was perfect, our dream wedding, everything was executed to absolute perfection, the food was incredible, staff were friendly and attentive and the whole venue was beautiful. We are booking to come back for our first anniversary and cannot wait. We would highly recommend the Connaught !
