The Connaught Hotel and Spa is a boutique wedding venue situated in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the South West of England. This luxurious destination is just minutes from Dorset's famous beaches, providing a coastal backdrop to your special celebrations. You can hold a micro wedding or large gathering in a selection of elegantly-appointed event spaces with the help of a dedicated wedding team.
Facilities and Capacity
The Connaught Hotel and Spa is licensed for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, allowing you to spend the whole day in one location.
You can choose from two beautiful suites for an indoor ceremony alongside 120 guests. During milder months, say "I do" in the scenic gardens that overlook palm trees and a baby blue beach hut.
Choose from two unique suites to mark your wedding breakfast in style, surrounded by 100 loved ones. The Brasseriee is the largest reception space at this hotel, with a capacity for 120 friends and family members. Located in The Connaught Lodge the Franklyn Suite which holds 120 evening guests. This separate building allows complete privacy for your big day. It features a private entrance, a bar and lounge area, floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious dance floor, and lavish chandeliers.
Outside, you will find beautiful terraced gardens for photo ops and mingling after your ceremony. The Connaught Lodge is available for exclusive hire, which comes with access to the main hotel facilities as well as 28 plush bedrooms.

Your wedding breakfast will be created by a talented team of award-winning 2 AA Rosette chefs, using locally-sourced, fresh ingredients where possible and with each dish tailored to suit all dietary requirements.
You can choose the all-inclusive Wedding Bliss package or design a bespoke package with the help of their experienced wedding team. From your first visit to your wedding day, you'll be in the safe hands of their wedding team, who have hosted hundreds of weddings. From a red-carpet arrival to a menu-tasting session, these experts have thought of every detail to ensure your day is unique and effortless.
Accommodation
Newlyweds can look forward to a complimentary stay on their wedding night. There are 81 stylishly designed bedrooms, so guests travelling from afar can enjoy a relaxing stay for a discounted rate. You can visit the spa and swimming pool before and after your big day.

Easter weekend wedding
The Connaught hotel gave us the best wedding we could’ve asked for. We got friendly with the team who were so helpful from the beginning to after the wedding. We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception there, guests were very happy, hotel and courtyard are gorgeous. All staff were very professionial and catered to all of our requests, nothing was too much trouble. We had the most fun and stress-free wedding prep and wedding day. Would recommend to anyone to get married here.

Fantastic wedding!
Myself and my husband got married at the Connaught in April and had the most incredible day. From check in, to check out every member of staff was so helpful and efficient. Our wedding day was seamless, and the staff did an incredible job at organising everything for us. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and the hotel itself, we really could not fault a thing. A big thank you to Maria and her wonderful team for making our wedding day the best it could be. We’ll be back to stay, and definitely recommend the Connaught for a wedding.

Our wedding at The Connaught 29/03/25
Well what can we say. Our wedding day at The Connaught was just amazing, more than we could have ever dreamed of. From the moment we met Maria and decided to have our wedding here we knew we had made the right choice. Maria and her staff work hard to make your day so special. The venue was amazing, the food fantastic ( many of our guests commented on how great the food was. All the staff at the Connaught were stars. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further than the Connaught Hotel. Thanks again so much to Maria and her team for making our day so special and memorable. A wonderful wedding day!
We booked The Connaught for our wedding on the same day we went to have a look around. The staff were wonderful, so welcoming and friendly and we instantly knew this venue was going to be perfect for our big day!
We went for the standard package and couldn’t fault a thing as it included everything we wanted and needed.
All of our guests were blown away as they didn’t expect a hotel wedding to be as brilliant as it was, everyone enjoyed the food and commented on how well the day flowed.
The staff made us feel so special and worked so hard to ensure our day ran smoothly, they honestly couldn’t do enough for us. Communication from booking our wedding up until the day itself was fantastic. Emails were always replied to and all my silly questions were answered.
We also hired KMS for the decorations. KMS work a lot with The Connaught and we highly recommend them too as they take care of absolutely everything.
We didn’t plan to make use of the outside area as we got married in November so expected to spend the whole day inside but the weather was kind and we spent a lot of time having drinks on the patio and having photos taken in the garden which was a bonus.
The DJ was absolutely brilliant too, he played the music we requested before the big day and asked us if we are happy for our guests to also request songs and the dance floor was never empty!
The evening buffet went down a treat! We opted for Pizza and Halloumi wraps and again everyone comment on good the food was!
If you are looking for a wonderful wedding venue with wonderful staff then you should definitely book The Connaught as you won’t be disappointed!

Great Experience and a wonderful time
From Start to finish, the process of getting married at the Connaught was simple and made the marriage process very smooth. We were guided from what we need to have and anything we were uncertain of , they responded within 1 - 2 days.
The Food was fantastic as well as the direction of what was going to happen on the day of the wedding. We also had small issues throughout the day which required the hotel to be flexible towards our need and they delivered. It was great service and overall we were glad to have gotten married at the Connaught Hotel

Our August wedding
We got married on August 10th at this beautiful Hotel and cannot praise the staff and venue enough.
The whole experience was amazing from starting the preparations a year out till the actual day.
Maria the Front of House manager treated us like special friends from the minute of looking round until the day itself, nothing was ever too much trouble, no query was too big or small and was there for us for ever step of the way.
We had over 80 people for the sit down meal and guests are still talking about how delicious the food was, the attention to detail was excellent.
The staff all worked extremely hard and always with a smile on their faces (we even managed to get some of the Bar staff up for a little boogie at the evening disco 🥰)
We had a lot of guests stay over at the hotel due to travelling long distances and every one of them has said they would go back and stay there again as the rooms were lovely and the Spa was amazing (Spa facilities were all included)
We went for the Bliss package and value for money was outstanding.
Lastly I would really like to mention the porter (I'm really sorry but I can't remember his name 😉). In all our travels i have NEVER met such a friendly, extremely helpful person who goes so much out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect from myself coming down too early on the morning of the wedding (yep I couldn't sleep) and this lovely guy going and getting me umpteen cups of coffees whilst yapping away to me (calming my nerves lol)
So all in all, I couldn't recommend this Beautiful Hotel/venue enough for your very special day 🥰 I'm so glad we did.

The Connaught Dream Team
We started our journey with The Connaught Hotel 2 years before getting married and from start to finish the team have been incredible.
Attending wedding fayre days there and going for trips to have a drink and imagine the day we were planning really helped.
The flexibility, patience, attention to detail if this team is credit to the amount of weddings they hold and help organise.
Maria deserves a special mention from ourselves as she was our main contact throughout and went above and beyond, thank you so much.
We will now enjoy the Connaught as a place to relax snd enjoy.
The investment of where to hold our wedding day, was far bigger than just the day, it's a connection there after too.

Amazing, everything we wished for and more!
Can’t put into words how amazing our wedding day was at The Connaught Hotel Bournemouth. Everything ran so smoothly from starting to plan the wedding with the help from Maria, til the end of our wedding day!
Such a beautiful place, lovely and helpful staff and well organised. Thankyou so much for all the hard work, we had the most beautiful day that we will remember forever, The Connaught Hotel definitely holds a special place in our hearts.

Our wedding really was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for Maria and the team!
From booking our special day to the day itself everything was seamless. No hidden costs and no added extras unless we asked for them!
The venue looked simply stunning on the day and we just want to do it all again!

Such a magical day.
We got married on the 31st May 2024.There were a few issues with communication at the beginning, We were then assigned Maria. She was Incredible, nothing was ever to much trouble, we then had a meeting with Maria in person to go through the whole day and she put my mind at ease I could then start to enjoy the wedding planning, the whole day was exactly what I hoped for and more, lovely staff, beautiful venue, we had a lot of comments about how amazing all the food was. Overall the most magical day.

Flawless - we wouldn’t change a thing
Maria and the Connaught team made our day an absolute dream. We are so glad that we made the decision to have our wedding at the Connaught. It is a stunning venue, from the ceremony room to the function suite and hotel rooms. The staff are absolute experts in weddings and ensured that our day was perfect through every detail. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to get married. I can’t thank the Connaught enough. We will be back ❤️

Amazing day, amazing team
We recently got married at the connaught and the day was flawless. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much hassle, they really made the effort with all of our guests creating such a warm welcoming space. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was and the venue itself. We are so happy we chose this venue, they delivered us the perfect day and we will always be so grateful. ❤️

Perfect Wedding Day
If you want a wedding with a brilliant package, events manager and service that runs with absolute efficiency, dedication and professionalism, look no further than the Connaught.
From the initial visit and tour of the hotel before booking the wedding, through the complimentary meal tasting session and catch up meetings to the big day itself, Maria (our events manager at the Connaught) and her team have been phenomenal, on hand to answer any questions we have and take on much of the logistics, leaving us only to sort out external things such as the registrar, suits and clothes, a photographer and a cake.
The wedding package gave us a beautiful outdoor wedding and drinks reception with music of our choice, prosecco for us as the bride and groom, the BEST three course meal, a master of ceremonies for the speeches, and an outstanding evening buffet. Not to mention the DJ and disco!
Maria was amazing on the day, making sure pre-ceremony that people were where they needed to be and when, that the bride didn't come in before everyone was ready, and that everything ran like clockwork throughout the day.
We upgraded our room to a suite for the night and were treated to heart shaped confetti on the bed around a folded towel display, to show two swans forming a heart, and had an amazing breakfast the next day too.
We honestly couldn't have been happier elsewhere and the Connaught made our special day perfect.
