The Connaught Hotel and Spa is a boutique wedding venue situated in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the South West of England. This luxurious destination is just minutes from Dorset's famous beaches, providing a coastal backdrop to your special celebrations. You can hold an intimate wedding or large gathering in a selection of elegantly-appointed event spaces with the help of a dedicated wedding team.
Facilities and Capacity
The Connaught Hotel and Spa is licensed for indoor and outdoor ceremonies, allowing you to spend the whole day in one location.
You can choose from two beautiful suites for an indoor ceremony alongside 120 guests. During milder months, say "I do" in the scenic gardens that overlook palm trees and a baby blue beach hut.
Choose from two unique suites to mark your wedding breakfast in style, surrounded by 100 loved ones. The Brasserie is the largest reception space at this hotel, with a capacity for 120 friends and family members. Located in The Connaught Lodge the Franklyn Suite which holds 120 evening guests. This separate building allows complete privacy for your big day. It features a private entrance, a bar and lounge area, floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious dance floor, and lavish chandeliers.
Outside, you will find beautiful terraced gardens for photo ops and mingling after your ceremony. The Connaught Lodge is available for exclusive hire, which comes with access to the main hotel facilities as well as 28 plush bedrooms.

Your wedding breakfast will be created by a talented team of chefs, using locally-sourced, fresh ingredients where possible and with each dish tailored to suit all dietary requirements.
You can choose from three all-inclusive wedding packages or design a bespoke package with the help of their experienced wedding team. From your first visit to your wedding day, you'll be in the safe hands of their wedding team, who have hosted hundreds of weddings. From a red-carpet arrival to a menu-tasting session, these experts have thought of every detail to ensure your day is unique and effortless.
Accommodation
Newlyweds can look forward to a complimentary stay on their wedding night. There are 81 stylishly designed bedrooms, so guests travelling from afar can enjoy a relaxing stay for a discounted rate. You can visit the spa and swimming pool before and after your big day.

The most perfect wedding venue
Rhian & Marks Wedding August 25
We had a few unusual requests when planning our wedding compared to most, such as asking to measure their lift and check out the bedrooms as we were ensuring it was suitable for my bridesmaid who uses a powerchair. They couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried.
Maria ensured the day run perfectly however all the staff were absolutely brilliant. I cant remember the guys name however there was one guy who stood out he was there all day, he brought our breakfast to our room in the morning, helped with my train on several occasions throughout the day, sometimes I didn't realize he was there helping I didn't need to ask he was brilliant. (See photo of us entering the breakfast and handing out confetti)
All the staff were more than accommodating. I am not a person who enjoys heat, they saw this in the ceremony and ensured there was plenty of fans in the wedding breakfast and reception room.
Would definitely recommend.

The best day of our lives
I can’t stress enough how grateful we are to Maria and her team for what they did for us. The whole day went so smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Weddings really ARE the Connaught hotels speciality.
From the little details to the large they really look after you. Even little special extras that you don’t expect on the day. We literally want to do it all again, all our guests said how wonderful everything was as well. So a huge thankyou to everyone at the Connaught for making our special day everything we wanted and more.

Our wedding at The Connaught Spa Hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more – truly a 5-star experience from start to finish.
The venue itself is simply stunning, the food was outstanding, and the whole day was managed flawlessly. The team’s professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to handle every little turnaround and task made us feel completely at ease – exactly what every couple dreams of on their wedding day.
We’d especially like to mention Kevin, Tom, and Iris, who were all so friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring – we felt so well looked after. But above all, Maria deserves the biggest thank you. She is the heart of The Connaught. From the moment we first viewed the venue, she made us feel confident and supported. Her care, knowledge, and guidance were invaluable, and she ensured everything was seamless.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found The Connaught and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. People often say their wedding day was perfect, but for us, it truly was – and that’s because of the amazing teamwork of The Connaught. Not only did we feel cared for, but our guests did too, from start to finish.
A huge thank you to everyone – we couldn’t have asked for more.

The food was absolutely beautiful and all our guests commented on how well everything was organised and how lovely the surroundings were.
We would highly recommend the Connaught, not just for weddings, but for any occasion!
