If you want to know what the next big trend is, look to the Oscars.

The stars were out in force at the 2019 Academy Awards, giving us everything from Lady Gaga in the chicest Audrey Hepburn-esque sculpted Alexander McQueen, to Rachel Weisz in floral red vinyl, and Charlize Theron in a showstopping backless Dior gown.

Among these dresses were plenty that wouldn’t look out of place walking down the aisle. If you’re after some A-list inspiration for your wedding dress, look no further!

We’ve rounded up the Oscars dresses that would look incredible as wedding dresses.

She picked up the award for Best Actress in a forest green number, but switched it up for this stunning caped silk dress for the Vanity Fair after-party. We love the champagne colour and Victoriana-style high neck. This style would work perfectly for a vintage wedding with a ’30s or ’40s theme.

The Legally Blonde star won Best Supporting Actress for If Beale Street Could Talk. But all eyes were on her sizzling Oscar de la Renta dress with a thigh-high split. It doesn’t need to be as high as this – although if you’re getting married during a heat wave, it might be necessary!
