I specialize in high-end, luxury fine art documentary wedding photography, capturing the unique beauty and emotion of your special day.
Based in Suffolk, I proudly serve couples across East Anglia and North London, offering a bespoke photography experience tailored to your vision.
My approach goes beyond traditional wedding photography.
I create wedding photos, using a blend of modern techniques and vintage equipment, including unusual older cameras and lenses, to produce uniquely romantic and emotional images. Each photo is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a timeless and elegant representation of your love story.
To provide the highest level of personalized service, I limit my bookings to just 30 weddings a year. This allows me to dedicate the necessary time and attention to every couple, from the initial consultation to the final delivery of beautifully edited images. With numerous wedding awards and memberships in prestigious photographic societies, my work is recognized for its quality and artistry.

What does the wedding package include?
The "Excelsior" is my All Day, Everything Included Package with Album and 2 videos at £1385
The "Grange" is up to 6 Hours with an Album,and 2 Videos at £985
How far in advance should I contact you?
If I'm available on you date then a few days! Usually of course it's from several months to 2 years in advance
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, east Anglia, SE England and London
What is the charge for travelling?
None as long as in East Anglia - otherwise at cost

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I employ basically 2 ways to photograph your wedding day - documentary / reportage where I'll blend in with you and your guests to capture intimate and memorable "moments" and "staged" shots
What kind of equipment do you use?
Nikon Z6iii, a Nikon D780 and D700 plus a Leica M10 and a range of Nikon "prime" lenses - I don't use zoom lenses as their quality doesn't match top quality primes

Exactly what we wanted
We went into looking for a photographer very nervous and wondering if it was something we needed. Safe to say, we are so thrilled with what Allen was able to do for us on our day. He was fantastic with all our guests and my niece especially. I can't stand my photo being taken usually but he made it fun and unimposing. We have a lovely album and lots of photos that are already treasured.

Got great relaxed pictures of my guests
Really was impressed that Allen recorded the ceremony and got this to me the day after our wedding which was really impressive. Sad not to have his expertise for smaller group shots but meant more "moments" were captured.

Great photographer
When we started to look for suppliers for our wedding we quickly realised there was so much choice it was really difficult to choose. Not to mention the nightmare of keeping track of everything. We saw Allen's website photo gallery and he was instantly in the top 2 for us. As soon as we met he was our choice - likeable, easy going and yet so talented and a perfect fit for us on the day. Just All Round Great!
We met Allen at our friends wedding and noticed how hard he was working at getting photos and decided to chat and then booked him for our wedding. Very pleased we did as fab photos and very good service.

Allen was excellent!
We won one of Allen's wedding packages by entering a competition. From the moment of first contact to say that we'd won, until the big day he was nothing but friendly & professional. We had meetings beforehand to go over how many guests were coming, the location and who we wanted in pictures etc. Although he took pictures on our wedding day, he also fitted in well amongst our guests and always had a smile on his face. The pictures are great and we'd recommend the Excelsior package. Trying to only pick 40 or so for the album is so tough as we got well over 300 back but they're beautiful and Allen was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! Also, his wife Jean made us an absolutely stunning cake! We cannot recommend Allen enough!

Fabulous photographer!
Allen is great! Not only did he take some wonderful photos but he was very obliging and helpful. Allen blended in to our wedding day and a lot of our guests commented on how lovely he was. He captured all the moments we had requested plus lots more! Thanks to Allen we have all our wonderful memories captured forever.

Last Minute Wedding
We'd booked Allen for our wedding in October but then Lockdown came along so we cancelled until we could re-arrange in 2021. Unexpectedly we managed to secure a date in November with just 3 days notice - Allen dropped everything so he could come along. And did a fantastic job!

Great Photography and a Nice Guy Too!
We hired Allen for our wedding (the Excelsior PAckage) as he ticked all the boxes - our kind of photos - price - and got on well at the consultation. He was perfect on the day - blended in well with everyone - seemed to always be in the right place at the right time and when organsiing for the group shots was efficient without being bossy. AFterwards go everything as promised and love the photos. Thanks Allen

Incredible photographer
We have recently got married, February 2024. Allen was recommended to us by some friends and we was so pleased he was. Being a winter wedding we was a little bit worried we wouldn’t get amazing photos, we had nothing to worry about. Thankfully the weather held out but he did a great job at working with the lighting and just captured our day so brilliantly. We was also lucky enough to be a runner up in his yearly competition so received quite a discount on his package.

Fantastic photos that we will enjoy for life.
We really liked Allen. We met him for an engagement photo shoot that lasted approx. 20 mins and when we got the photos back they looked stunning. We were also surprised at how relaxed we looked in them as we are both very camera shy. We booked him for our wedding after seeing the engagement photos as we knew that if he could capture photos like that in 20 mins the wedding photos would be stunning! And they really were. Allen is incredibly relaxed and easy to work with. He did such a good job of being right in the action when it was needed e.g. for the group photos and the couple shots but then keeping in the background for the rest of the day. There are so many amazing photos that I didn't even realise were being taken, which is just what we wanted really as they all looked very natural and he really captured the essence of the day. Allen is quite gentle and very relaxed when taking photos, he will give you a bit of prompting and suggest different ways to stand etc but then will often leave you to it so the photos will always look very 'you'. I definitely recommend! We love our wedding photos very much and really enjoyed Allen's company on our big day.
