From the outset when we sent our first enquiry email Simon was chatty, friendly and open with us. He was quick to respond to us and had a great approach to meeting us over Zoom so we could get to know each other and what we wanted. Having shared some images from his portfolio with us, it was also clear from the beginning that Simon is a very talented photographer.

Simon did both an engagement shoot as well as our wedding photos and we are so glad to have experienced and got wonderful photos from both. The engagement shoot was really valuable for us to meet in person, get to know each other more and also get used to being in front of the camera (which Simon’s relaxed approach eased). We were so thrilled with the photos from the engagement shoot; Simon captured lovely moments presenting genuine and natural emotion and feeling without engineering them. He also took his lead from us, so that we felt totally comfortable (which also comes through in the photos).

On the lead up to our wedding day Simon was communicative, supportive and made things as easy as possible for us. On the day itself, Simon again showed kindness and support. He was respectful about photography within the church, which was very small and somewhat challenging to move around, but Simon chatted with the vicar beforehand and they made a plan that worked for everyone. Over the whole day, he was subtle in his approach enabling him to capture real conversations and small, but meaningful elements. Everyone said how friendly Simon was, but equally commented about how he moved around quietly and unobtrusively, keeping everyone comfortable. Simon was flexible when our portrait session didn’t go to plan and when timings went awry.

Our wedding photos are beautiful and what we wanted them to be. They have allowed us to relive our day and to see parts of it that we didn’t see first hand. Again, Simon captured photos radiant with personality and created images that manage to visualise pure and honest connections between people. We have never had photos that so truly represent genuine feelings before, but Simon’s do exactly this, which is why our photos are so wonderful. We are so happy that Simon was a part of our wedding and can’t recommend him highly enough!

Simon is an exceptional photographer and the whole process is professional, seamless and has the couple at it's heart. We absolutely love the photos Simon produced from our wedding; they were exactly what we were hoping for and so much more. We are finding it difficult to choose a few photos to frame as there are so many we love! The photos perfectly capture the day. Simon is also a really wonderful human - in addition to his beautiful wedding photography, his manner and personality what was what helped us decide to choose him - and we are so glad we did. He was a lovely presence on the day itself - calm and friendly, and he went above and beyond to help out our guests and other vendors whenever he could. Multiple guests commented on how great he was! As an introverted couple who don't like being in the limelight, Simon put us completely at ease and both captured our day perfectly while also being a much appreciated part of the day itself. The wait time for the photos is on the longer end of the spectrum, but absolutely worth the wait. We could not recommend Simon enough

Simon-where to begin! The whole process of working with Simon has been brilliant. From the very first FaceTime we had total confidence that he understood the intention for our day and his emotional intelligence was apparent immediately. That has translated beautifully into his incredible photos. A wonderful mix of documenting each stage of the day while also capturing the emotions from every angle. The joy and vibrancy of the day literally leaps out from the photos. Simon has preserved the day perfectly through his photography and being able to relive the day so completely - and see some of those in-between moments between guests for the first time - is something we will treasure.

Simon was fantastic at trying different ideas for taking some unique shots - from setting up the sparkler group photos to later coming to us in the middle of the evening with an idea for creating an impromptu photo run with all of our guests-the most chaotic fun and it’s resulted in some brilliant photos.
Then there are the portraits. Simon’s warmth made us feel so comfortable and he had the perfect balance of giving a few prompts and letting us enjoy those moments together.
We are so lucky to have had Simon be a part of our day and truly cannot recommend him enough.

Simon truly was the perfect addition to our wedding day! From the pre-wedding meetings, to the big day, Simon really did exceed our expectations. He somehow managed to add such value to the day, yet disappear into the background at times to really capture our day perfectly!
Whilst Simon’s work speaks for itself, we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding photographer.

I could not recommend Simon more highly. I knew I wanted photos that captured the feeling of the day, and reflected us as a couple, and he delivered above and beyond on this. I am not hugely relaxed around cameras and knew I didn’t want to feel like I had to be posed for the whole day. The way Simon works is so natural, and you really know him by the time the day rocks around so it is a very genuine and relaxed relationship. His communication is incredible and he walks you through exactly how he works and what to expect. He is so dedicated to capturing the people and the spirit of the moments, and the result is both beautiful photographs in themselves, but also photographs that sing with emotion.

I debated whether or not to include the last photo on here, because it is not really typical of what to expect, and I didn’t want it to put people off. I wasn’t sure if it would be helpful as a reference point. However, it is testament to how dedicated Simon is to getting the essence of the people (however weird and wonderful that may be), even if they ask for a strange late night photo shoot with friends in the woods…

Simon was a wonderful wedding photographer and we would recommend him to any couples looking for one for their special day. Kept us at ease and laughing the whole day. We choose him for the intimate and beautiful style, and we are so pleased with the photos.

Our wedding day was perfect. Simon arrived early (and left late!) He captured the most beautiful images of the property, of our service, our photoshoot, group photos, and incredible candid shots of the wedding breakfast and disco. As mentioned, he stayed a little later without me asking to get a few shots of our fireworks.

All our guests commented that our photographer was great, he had a naturally good rapport with everyone and one of our guests even used his camera to take a group photo with Simon!

Simon works in the background and rarely gets in the way, in fact you’ll hardly notice he’s there. He was incredibly generous with his time on our wedding day, and he doesn’t have a limit of final edit photographs he will share with you. Looking back through our gallery really evokes the same emotions and energy of our wedding day, simply by the way Simon captured every moment.
