The photographer kept in contact with us prior to the marriage and was at the venue in plenty of time to get those pre wedding shots.

He was attentive and I gave him free rein to take pictures at the venue including ceremony and wedding breakfast. He was that good you did not even know he was there. The photos were really really great and natural shots of people enjoying our day. Could not of asked anymore from him. The price was very very competitive, especially as he was there for just over 8 hours. Well done that’s all I can say captured our day brilliantly, smiles all around and that’s what I wanted - thank you so much saberstudios 👍

We booked Curtis during his winter promotion for our small wedding. The package included a pre-wedding shoot and 4 hours of coverage. After a Zoom call to discuss expectations, we signed the contract and felt confident. That was the last time anything felt professional.

Months later, I received a rude email accusing me of late payment and threatening cancellation with no refund. Our contract had no payment deadlines. Curtis admitted he changed his terms due to “past bad experiences” and insisted I was late. I paid immediately to avoid losing our booking.

When I tried to schedule the pre-wedding shoot, he claimed it wasn’t included. I sent screenshots from his website and adverts showing it was. He then said it was actually an “engagement shoot” and not a “pre-wedding shoot.” (despite his own website stating "pre wedding shoot"). I offered to re-propose during the shoot just to meet his bizarre criteria. Who would book a wedding photographer without being engaged anyway?He finally offered a random Wednesday midday slot for 30 minutes—down from the 2 hours originally discussed. We couldn’t make it, so he begrudgingly offered to extend our wedding coverage instead.

On the wedding day, Curtis was nowhere to be found 10 minutes before the ceremony. Venue staff had to locate him. He missed all the guest arrivals and had to be told by us to go to the chapel and start shooting. The ceremony photos were awful—only a couple of usable shots of the bride walking down the aisle, most blocked by guests or awkward close-ups. He missed the signing of the marriage certificate until the registrar called him over. The registrar even staged our and the witness' photos himself and kept encouraging Curtis to take photos.

Then came the final blow: Curtis texted us after all our guests had arrived at the reception to say he was “stuck in traffic” and wouldn’t be coming. Every guest made it on time travelling the same way/distance. He simply couldn’t be bothered. We were left with no reception photos, no apology, and no refund. He worked for barely an hour. His “solution”? Offering us more photos from that same hour—mostly of people fixing their hair/outfits or walking away. I include a selection of photos in our wedding gallery - blurry, back of people's heads etc. I am not sure if a photographer can actually be that bad or if it was a deliberate attempt to ruin our wedding.

The final gallery was heartbreaking. No petal toss capture, no exit shots, no joy. Just missed moments and mediocrity.

Curtis was unreliable, unprofessional, and indifferent to our wedding. If you value your memories, your sanity, and your money, do not hire Saber Studios UK. He turned what should have been a joyful experience into a source of stress and regret.

I don't even know where to start. There's so many layers to the experience of working with Curtis. He is a true professional with a palpable love for the art of photography. Not only is that expressed in his patience, creative input, but also in his timely delivery and presence throughout the whole process (upon first contact and through final delivery of photos). As a person with a modeling background, I can testify that Curtis is in his own league of professional photographers. I am sure that anyone who can resonate with his portfolio would come find that the process of working with him is beyond what they could've imagined. I highly vouch for SaberStudios and plan to continue to work with Curtis for future projects as well as spread the word of his beautiful craft. (Although his work speaks for itself 😉). I wholeheartedly thank you, Curtis for such a wonderful photography experience!
