Hi, I’m Stuart, the photographer behind S A Thomson Photography.

If the thought of spending your wedding day being shuffled from one awkward pose to another fills you with dread, we’re probably going to get along rather well.

My approach to wedding photography is relaxed, natural and all about telling the story of your day as it actually happens. The laughs, the little looks, the people you love, the slightly chaotic bits and all those moments happening around you that you might not even notice at the time.

That doesn’t mean I simply turn up with a camera and hope for the best. I’ll take the time to get to know you beforehand, talk through your plans and help you think about the photography for the day, so that when the wedding arrives you can forget about the camera and concentrate on enjoying yourselves.

When we do take some time for couple portraits, I’ll keep things easy and give you a little direction when you need it. Nothing stiff, nothing uncomfortable and definitely no hours spent posing while your guests are at the bar having all the fun.

I’m based in Devon and photograph weddings across the South West and beyond.

Most importantly, I want your photographs to feel like your wedding, not somebody else’s idea of what your wedding should look like.
