Fun fact - we met at a photography festival so how much more photography and love can mix together?

We are based in Edinburgh, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Our style of photography can be descirbed as colour-rich fine art wedding photography. Everything that is visual is very much our thing but we found we could create something really unique for our couples by working closely together to make an artistic film at the same time as gorgeous editorial, fine art photographs. Sylwia captures stills, photographing the wedding with an artist’s (and female!) eye, while Simon uses his experience making artist films to bring a cinematic touch to our films.

Together we have captured over 400 weddings over the last 10+ years in Scotland we know what it is like to work as a team (plus, we're also married). We both love art, history, animals and meeting new people and documenting their stories in our relaxed luxury style. Our work consistently celebrates rich Scottish landscapes, vibrant florals, authentic emotions and timeless storytelling.

Our main goal on the wedding day is to make it all flow seamlessly, so we closely work with the couple AND their venue (or a wedding planner) on the timings of the day to make sure that we have enough time for capturing the photos and moments and that the family and guests are having a great time - we work fast, we are discreet and we are making it the best possible experience for our couples but also their guests.

Working with us is like hanging out with your friends rather than people who make you pose. We are coming from an authentic editorial background, having worked for national and international magazines (FT, Telegraph, Der Spiegel, le Point etc.) where we are used to working quickly, in many different lighting situations and weathers (we're based in Scotland after all!) and in most cases with people who never been in front of a professional photographer before. So we chat, make them laugh, make them comfortable and get beautiful, natural images in the process.

Our thing is not staging moments, we are capturing them as they unfold, giving some very gentle direction witout micromanaging and spending ages on each situation. We love seeing our couple's personalities coming through the dynamic situations we are capturing - action, dancing, laughing, hugging friends, people interacting - it is our thing. And we are very lucky that we are capturing all these in the most beautiufl locations in Scotland, the castles, the coast, in sometimes unpredicatble weather but we are geared up for that.
