We loved having these two on board, Amy and Steve are absolutely brilliant people to work with and incredible photographers.

We had the best time and plenty of laughs throughout the day, it’s so important to have photographers that want to have fun with you on the day and they did just that! Capturing all the little moments and enjoying the day with us. We are so glad we had them on board and to be given a couple of Polaroids at the end of the day before they left was so special, it added a real personal touch to a lovely day spent with them both.

Having a personal connection with Steve, my wife and I were really looking forward to him and Amy capturing our special day. My wife doesn’t love getting her photo taken, but both Steve and Amy made us feel so comfortable and slotted into our day seamlessly. Every one of our wedding guests commented on how amazing our photographers were and their time and effort is really reflective in our photographs. They are beautiful, and captured the day perfectly. I had one special request, of being photographed with on of the venue’s tractors. Steve made this happen and the photographs of this are incredible. Before they left, Steve and Amy gave us 5 printed Polaroid photos of our day. To come away with this on the day, was the most thoughtful touch and a beautiful momento to have. We could not recommend Captured by the Caves enough!

If you want the headlines - Steve and Amy are AMAZING. They are a lovely, friendly, disarming, down to earth couple who absolutely know what they're doing. Whether it's taking beautiful photographs or managing a small army of hungry guests, they do it seemingly effortlessly.

When we found Captured by the Caves on social media, and had a look at their website and Instagram, we were blown away. Their photos seemed to us to tell a story... they were thoughtful and considered, the photos felt natural and weren't overly posed-for or staged, and despite them all being unique weddings filled with unique people, they all had a style that was unmistakably theirs. We were sold immediately.

We met them at a café to talk things through, and it was like meeting up with two old friends. It's hard to put into words how grateful I felt, headed home after meeting them and making things official - we'd not posed for a single photo yet and I was already saying we should get them something to say thankyou. It just felt like we'd known them for years. Maybe you'll get in touch with them and feel the same way we did but so much of this stuff is down to the feeling you get from people. The vibe was right.

As part of the package, we met Steve a couple of weeks later at a lovely scenic spot in the forest to take some pre-wedding photos, and this was a great opportunity to practice having your photo taken professionally (something I found far more difficult than I thought I would). As expected, Steve was very professional as he gave us gentle direction, pointers and encouragement. It just felt like a stroll with a friend who loves taking photos, chatting between locations as we went. At a certain point I asked if we could see the photos on the camera screen and Steve happily obliged. Now, I don't know what it is about having your photo taken but I couldn't believe that he'd managed to take the photos he took, in the short windows of time we'd realistically had in each location. It just confirmed in an instant everything we'd hoped and had come to expect - we knew then that Steve could take photos of anything and make them look romantic, and professional, and stylish. We knew for sure then that, being Steve only on that occasion, he knows exactly what he's doing, can adapt in an instant to moments that call to be captured and to do it all without a break in his stride.

If you're still reading this I'm sure that you'll have guessed that the big day went without any problems (thankfully!), and we had a hoarde of beautiful photos to show off of our big day. Steve and Amy struck that all-important balance between managing family and friends for group photos with confidence and humour, and shooting throughout the celebrations without us realising it, and we couldn't have been happier with the photos we received (without much wait either - considering how many there are!) Steve and Amy genuinely felt like guests at our wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the way things turned out. Thankyou Captured by the Caves!

Steve and Amy are the best, I’ve always liked Steve’s work so knew from the moment I got engaged I wants them for our wedding. They captured every moment we asked for, we aren’t the best couple at PDA but they got it out of us for the best photos. Not only are they amazing at their job but they are also two of the nicest people in the world!
If we were to do it over again we would have added Amy’s videography (which they weren’t doing when we first book as I booked 2 year in advance). I couldn’t recommend them more! Our photos are honestly perfect 🩷

Steve & Amy are without doubt the most professional yet easy going team of photographers we met before making our decision on who to hire for our big day.

Our first meeting was relaxed but we felt they guided us through what was needed (we had no clue!) and they gave us great ideas for the day. Main focus for us was for the day to be relaxed and fun and these guys nailed the brief! They made every effort to get to know us and although my husband is very shy and I’m not a huge fan of having my photo taken they seemed to get the very best from us without making it in anyway intrusive or uncomfortable on the day.

On the day we had three photographers as we had a highlight video, and they mingled in and got on so well with all our guests, and made us all feel relaxed but directed as needed to get the perfect pics and video!

The results were more than we could have hoped for. The pics they captured were so beautiful, and the video captured every moment we remember and more. Every time I watch it it brings tears to my eyes!

Lets be honest this is going to be the most important and expensive service you purchase for your big day so if you want, a professional team, value for your pennies and intimate personal images that reflect you as a couple m/family then look no further!

We highly recommend Captured by the Caves as the photographers for your big day. Great quality of service. Steve and Amy were in regular contact to help us plan the day. We had an engagement shoot that really put us at ease about the main event. They were both wonderful to work with and got some great shots, it was a massive weight off our minds. When the big day arrived, Steve and Amy effortlessly synchronised to get some candid shots before the ceremony. During the ceremony and reception, we had some traditional shots with our nearest and dearest. Steve and Amy then blended into the party and caught the natural moments between family and friends that we did not want to miss during the rush of our wedding. They helped us have the best day and have stayed in touch to create our digital album.

Me and Matt have known Steve since school. I had recently received my motor neuron disease diagnosis, so it was a special day and we didn’t want anyone else for it! Steve made it happen and made sure we could have some private moments alone! It was beautiful and we wouldn’t have had it any other way, we couldn’t have had anyone else! I guess we would’ve had to if it came to it but we held out until last minute ! Just so we could have you! Not just that after my diagnosis and being so emotional and losing one of my other best friends just days before the wedding I didn’t know how I was going to be and I think if it had been any other photographer I probably would’ve shouted at them or something as it was such an emotional time but you made everything so calm. You kept me happy like you did above your job. I can’t even explain it but I know you will be able to put it into words.! because I most certainly cannot! I can’t express my gratitude for helping and letting us have those beautiful moments! X

We had Steve and Amy as our photographers for our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We had some issues with our accommodation hosting a national golf event and they were so prepared and ready to tackle any issues to get there on time. Our photos are stunning, and they were very patient with a bride whose feet were in agony!!! The photos we didn’t know were being taken were magical and really captured the entire feel of the day and we couldn’t be more thankful!
The wait for the photos was a touch longer than we would of hoped for HOWEVER by booking a photographer who is worth the money charged, I would rather wait longer for the photos, and have the outcome we did, over someone who wasn’t half as good but get the photos back quicker!

We booked a last minute (within 5 months) wedding and assumed we’d struggle to get photographers and videographers whose work we loved… we were so fortunate! From the first messages Amy and Steve were lovely and really clear with what we would get for our money. We had a zoom call about 2 weeks before our day which really helped us visualise what we wanted. Our video is stunning, I cried from start to end and love being able to watch our day back on repeat. Steve was just amazing! He was the first ti arrive to the venue, the mosque. He was not only talented, easy going, fun and lovely, but he was also very respectful of the different culture and made it so easy to artistically bring two different cultures together with lens. Steve is very dedicated and very passionate about what he does. This was one of the most incredible photoshoot sessions I’ve ever had in my life. No one could have captured my wedding better than Steve did.

Steve and Amy were amazing, everyone was so at ease with them and it shows beautifully in the photos they’ve taken! They are both so friendly and chatty they made it easy being in front of the camera which we are not used to at all. Having both of them there meant we have so many more photos than we expected, with some parts of the day they captured that we hadn’t been able to see ourselves until looking at our photos.
Their photos are beautiful and thanks to them we can relive our day over and over again!  They also included an engagement shoot which was such a lovely extra, got us excited in the lead up to the wedding and got us used to the camera! Thank you both for all you did!
