" Documenting your wedding day naturally and with subtlety..."
FROM 2 HOURS UP TO FULL DAY COVERAGE!
**I am now taking bookings for 2018 for weddings in London and the home counties**
My aim is to provide you with beautiful reminders of your day that will always take you right back to that special moment in time!
I provide bespoke natural wedding & civil partnership photography in London and surrounding areas. All the emotions, fun and atmosphere of the day will be captured using a mixture of the popular reportage (documentary) style with the more traditional posed shots. The result will be a generous selection of stunning photographs covering as little or as much of your day as you require in a mixture of vibrant colour and striking black and white.
I realise that everyone is different and most people won’t have hired a professional photographer before. I’m here to guide you through the process… from the planning of your day to that priceless moment when you see your images for the first time! Whatever you need me for, I want you to feel comfortable and at ease. My approach is person-centred. This means that I will tailor anything we do around you and your needs, as well as the needs of your family.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the price of your service?
My prices start from £350 up to around £1500, depending on the length of day and package that you choose. My coverage starts from 2 hours upwards. Full details are on my website.
What services do you offer?
I offer pretty much anything that you might want me to offer. From short day to full day coverage to album design and production and framed prints. I am happy to discuss any aspect of your wedding day so if there's anything you at all that you need, do get in touch to discuss. My website is also a very good resource for all aspects of a wedding day.
How far in advance should I contact you?
As far ahead as you can. I tend to book up early, particularly for summer weddings, so do get in touch when you have your date.I also encourage people that wish to contact me who are booking their wedding at short notice. In fact, I have a page dedicated to these on my site: https://www.guymilnes.com/last-minute-wedding-photographer-short-notice/
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Not very often. Sometimes couples aren't exactly sure of the time span they'll need me for, so I keep the rest of the day free just in case anything changes. However, occasionally I might take a short wedding in the afternoon and would consider taking another short day wedding (2 hours) in the morning if they were both in the same area.
Are you able to travel?
Yes very much so. Although I'm based in South Wales, I also frequently cover weddings in Bristol and London. I used to be based in London and much of my work is still there.
What is the charge for travelling?
If your wedding is in South Wales, Bristol or London, I don't charge extra for travel. Elsewhere, may incur a minimal charge.
What style of photos do you take?
I take natural and emotive photos to tell the story of the day as it unfolds. I edit in a mixture of vibrant colour and timeless black and white.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
I try to work on and supply your photos to you as soon as I can. But this depends largely on my workload and time of year. Winter weddings should be fairly fast, whereas summer ones will take longer. My aim is to get them to you within 3 weeks though.
Do you send all the photos taken?
There is no value in supplying all the photos. However, I do edit any that I think you will like. So for a 2-hour wedding expect around 250.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I always work alone. This keeps costs down and also means I can work in the way that suits me without compromising my creativity.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
There is a network of photographers that I can contact to replace me. Being self-employed isn't conducive to being unreliable and (touch wood) I haven't missed a wedding yet.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
A mixture actually. For short weddings it's per hour, but I also have 8-hour packages for full days.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes, absolutely. I will take no other work on your wedding day so can stay on if required.
What are the forms of payment?
Most often by BACS. Although I will take cheques or cash occasionally and for smaller amounts.
How do you work?
I work quickly and keep focussed (both mentally and camera wise!) to capture all the important and emotive moments of your day. I am friendly and approachable and always welcome requests from you and your guests. Read the reviews page (and on Hitched) on my site to see what couples have found most valuable about my service and approach.

Amazing photos and service!
So happy we found Guy!Sent on 28/02/2020
Guy took our wedding photos at Chelsea Old Town Hall on a stormy Saturday afternoon...but had some brill ideas for how to use the weather as a positive! And he was right - it was perfect. Guy managed to capture some really special moments when I didn't even realise he was there!
Amazing service from beginning to end. Thanks Guy

Wedding photographer (The best we have met)
I never normally ever right reviews but I can honestly say Guy was the loveliest, professional and easy-going wedding photographer I've met! He took the most beautiful, mood-capturing, natural moments of everyone at our wedding at Newport Registry office. Guy was also one of the best wedding photographers I've seen with with children -he was very patient as they ran around! Couldn't recommend enough. We also loved how he captured spontaneous moments of the day, and we received our wedding photos just a few days later!Sent on 04/03/2019

Guy was fantastic, he captured us perfectly and made us both feel very at ease. He was extremely flexible, we never felt rushed and nothing was too much trouble. He had many ideas to capture different shots which have resulted in us loving our photos, we can't wait to showcase them.Sent on 20/01/2019
