Bowden’s Photography is a father and son wedding team based in Newport, South Wales. Equally passionate and dedicated to their craft, you can trust this duo with your wedding day. Available throughout South and West Wales, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Bristol and Somerset, they can also travel further across the UK on request.
Services Offered
Alex and Steve at Bowden’s Photography work in a relaxed, natural documentary style to capture the day exactly as it happens. They offer a range of flexible photography packages, from Ceremony (up to 3 hours) through to Full Day (up to 12 hours), with an optional Signature Hybrid add on that includes a 3 to 5 minute cinematic highlights video filmed alongside your photos.

• Professionally edited images (Ceremony 300, Silver 600, Gold 800, Premium 800, Ultimate 1,000)
• Sneak Peek Gallery – 40 colour and 40 black & white photos within 7 days, selected by Alex and not part of the main total
• Up to 10% of Alex’s photos in the final gallery delivered in his signature black & white edit
• Private online gallery with full download and print rights
• Pre wedding consultation
• Delivery in around 12 weeks (up to 16 in peak season)
• Travel and expenses included (up to 50 miles)

What does the wedding package include?

How far in advance should I contact you?
We’re flexible book months ahead or even a week before if we’re free. Share your date and venue and we’ll confirm quickly. Peak summer fills fast, so earlier is best. Weekday dates are often available
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Can you travel?
Yes, we cover South & West Wales, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset and areas. We also travel across the UK on request—tell us where and we’ll be happy to discuss. Travel fee may apply too

We shoot as a two-photographer team at no extra cost, capturing natural moments from multiple angles. Our relaxed documentary style blends candid storytelling with creative portraits all day

Alex shoots on two Sony mirrorless bodies with fast primes/zooms; Steve uses two Nikon DSLRs. We carry backups, flashes and spare gear for highlights video, giving reliable, versatile coverage

How do you work?
Relaxed and unobtrusive. We capture the day as it naturally unfolds, give light direction for portraits and groups, and work as two photographers for dual angles. We plan timings with you in advance

Professional and friendly pair!
From start to finish we have been so incredibly happy with the choice we made for Alex and Steve to be our wedding photographers! They were extremely helpful and kind making sure we got every photo. We loved all the sneak peek photos and were amazed by the volume of photos and memories we now have of our special day. We also went for the wedding video which turned out brilliant! Pick them if you want a pair of a pure friendly guys who have a real eye for some wonderful pictures.

Father & Son photography duo
We found Bowdens Photography from Bark and felt that Alex and Steve stood out from the other recommendations. Booking was easy and Alex kept in touch throughout the process with consultations explaining what would happen on our big day! What can we say? They were brilliant from the minute they arrived at our home for the getting ready shots right through to the evening party! Alex and Steve made us feel so comfortable and interacted with all our guests. Absolutely stunning photos
We are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos and cannot recommend Alex and Steve enough.
They are such lovely people and really helped everyone relax when having their photos taken.
They somehow managed to capture every smile, happy tear and belly laugh from the whole day and really captured all the happy memories.
They were so professional, kept us on our timeline while still capturing candid shots and were up for going out in the golf carts on multiple occasions to capture some of the most stunning photos in different locations.
They are such lovely people and really helped everyone relax when having their photos taken.

Don’t Consider Anyone Else
We chose Alex and Steve for our wedding and they were absolutely brilliant. They were helpful and most accommodating with our requests, travelling a short way with us after our ceremony for photos on the bridge, giving useful suggestions for our order of the day, and even lending a hand cueing people at the right times for when we were walking down the aisle.
The whole day went great, and we have some fantastic shots to remember it by. They make a great team with a lovely variety of imagery, and we'd totally recommend them.

Can't recommend enough!
Alex and Steve were absolutely incredible - my wife and I don't often feel the best about our appearances, but they made us feel a million dollars on our wedding day. All communication with them was fantastic and focused on our experience, and the final product was amazing too!

Amazing Photographers!
Where do I begin, from the get go I knew from our first phone call that Alex understood what we wanted from our wedding photos and what he would capture on the day. Alex and Steve are such lovely guys, nothing seemed too much to ask for, from them. They were so accommodating to us and how the day was running, they were able to lease with the venue to plan around the day when we were going to do photos, considering that timings changed. Alex went above and beyond, and even got my lipstick for me as he was going to the bridal suit to get a piece of his kit. The photos we have received from our sneak peak, are above and beyond our expectations! We cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding photos and share them with our family and friends. We could not recommend them enough. Thank you Alex and Steve for capturing our wedding day!

Fantastic wedding photographers

The best experience
