Welcome to Llechwen Hall Hotel, a family-run, idyllic countryside wedding venue, nestled on a hilltop in the heart of the Cynon Valley. Our 17th-century country house sits within six acres of beautiful grounds, offering stunning panoramic views that make the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. While it feels like a peaceful countryside retreat, we’re just 20 minutes from Cardiff, making it easy for your guests to join the celebration.

Spaces to Match Your Wedding Style

Your wedding should be as unique as your love story. That’s why we offer three distinct licensed spaces for your ceremony and reception. To keep your day truly special, we host only one wedding per day, ensuring exclusive use of the venue.

  • The Garden Marquee: Our largest and most popular space, accommodating up to 250 guests. It features floor-to-ceiling glass panels with breathtaking valley views, a contemporary bar, outdoor terrace, starlit ceiling, and elegant chandeliers—perfect for a magical celebration.
  • The Jail House: For couples seeking a venue with character, this unique space boasts historic stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and a wraparound balcony, offering a charming and intimate setting steeped in Welsh heritage.
  • The Nelson Suite: This cozy, rustic farmhouse-style room is ideal for smaller ceremonies, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere for your special moment.

Sumptuous Dining

Food is always at the heart of every wedding, and our experienced chefs craft exquisite menus using the finest local Welsh ingredients. Whether you prefer elegant canapés, a traditional wedding breakfast, or a relaxed grazing buffet, we’ll tailor the dining experience to delight you and your guests.

Extensive Accommodation

After the celebrations, you and your guests can unwind in one of our 44 individually styled ensuite bedrooms—no need to worry about late-night travel. As a special gift, the newlyweds enjoy a complimentary stay on their wedding night and again on their first anniversary.

5/5 doesn’t do it justice

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than Llechwen Hall.

From start to finish, everything was seamless and so well organised. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and we received so many compliments from our guests about the setting, the food, and how incredible all the staff were.

A special thank you to Angie, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond for us. She made the whole process stress-free and was always there whenever we needed anything.

On the day, Carly and Luke were amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they followed all of our notes perfectly, and added such thoughtful touches—like keeping canapés aside for us so we didn’t miss out. Carly noticed things before we even did, and Luke kept checking in with us about timings and made adjustments to keep everything running smoothly.

The whole team at Llechwen Hall made our day feel effortless, and we’re so grateful for everything they did. We would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat.

Perfect venue and incredibly helpful staff

We held our wedding reception at Llechwen Hall, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we started planning, the team was attentive, organised, and incredibly supportive, making the whole process stress-free. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly—the Jail House reception space looked beautiful (thanks also to our decorator Lavent), the food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to look after us and our guests. Many of our family and friends stayed at the hotel and were equally impressed with the comfort, service, and warm welcome they received. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our wedding celebration unforgettable, and we couldn’t recommend Llechwen Hall highly enough.

Morgan Wedding 19/07/25

The most perfect day and the prettiest venue! We couldn’t have asked for more. The staff went above and beyond in all departments, the most thanks to Angie Evan’s our wedding coordinator and her colleagues that took over in the evening. Angie was amazing from the 1st time we met her to the last minute when she walked me to the jailhouse for our ceremony. The Jailhouse! What a fairytale venue to take our vows ♥️. The full experience, day and the night went without a hitch! We would highly recommend Llechwen Hall as an ideal location with its stunning views and beautiful character!

The Absolute Best!

We had the most amazing experience at Llechwen. The hotel staff were very hospitable and charming, the room service was prompt and efficient, the rooms were nice and neat, the view was heavenly. Claire who was the wedding planner/director went up and beyond for us. Although we contacted her in such in a short time, she delivered effortlessly and made our day beautiful. She is a great listener and planner. The entire staff were kind to us. The meals were excellent and super tasty. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved it there. I would definitely recommend. If looking for a place to chill or a nice place with an awesome view for a wedding, this is it. We had the most amazing experience!!!

Perfect Day

The wedding and extended teams at Llechwen Hall are simply amazing. We had the most perfect day that went without a hitch. Beautiful setting, scenery, food and accomodation, available to bridal party and guests, makes this a one stop venue for a wonderfully unforgettable day.

Brilliant Wedding Day!

We would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for making our wedding perfect for us. We would like to give a special thanks to Gary what a fabulous guy our guests & photographer were commenting on how helpful he was, nothing was too much for him and he made myself and my husband feel so at ease checking if we were ok and keeping us calm. No matter what we asked of him he done. Thank you so much Gary you made sure our day ran smooth & you were there if we needed anything you done a brilliant job. Magical Wedding Day!

Incredible Wedding Day!

Perfect Wedding Day!

Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you to you and all the staff for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! It was so stress free knowing that you and everybody else had everything in hand so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Massive Thank You

I really don't know where to begin......to say thank you seems so small. But, we wish to send you a massive thank you for organising such a fabulous day. From the day we first met you, to each meeting & finally the big day you have been so helpful & supportive to us both, I think this probably contributed to my lack of nerves & just wanting the day to never end. Please would you thank everyone else who helped out that day from bar staff & catering as food was gorgeous- many off guests giving lovely complements about meal, and anyone else I may have forgotten. Hope you have lovely Christmas and a MASSIVE THANK YOU!!

We loved every second!

We had such a perfect day! We loved every second. Thank you so much for all you did for us. The chocolates are just a small gesture of our appreciation but we honestly can't thank you enough. Please pass on my thanks to Steph as well, she was fab and we had lots of compliments about how smoothly the day went and how relaxed it felt.
We will definitely be back in the future and o think some of our guests might be too! Thanks again!

5 Star really is not enough!

We had our wedding here Saturday just gone, such a beautiful place and our day was just so lovely. Exactly what we wanted. Charlotte our wedding planner was just simply wonderful throughout the whole process, nothing was ever too much even when I kept changing things. Any email sent I had a quick reply, she took so so much stress off of us and can’t thank her enough for that. Everything was made so simple and easy for us, and with a wedding that’s not how you expect it to be but thanks to them it was.
On the day, the staff was so welcoming and just so lovely. Steph who set it all up, thank you so much ... it was exactly how we wanted it and again nothing was too much. Thanks to all the staff... everything went so well and everyone enjoyed themselves. After the night was over, they packed everything away safely and stored it ready for us.
The chef, so talented! Food was just stunning, I had many guests come up and compliment the food, so big thank you to the chef too! Really cannot recommend and thank this beautiful place with wonderful staff enough! 5* really is not enough!

Massive Thank You!
