I contacted Joel very late in the day as I had arranged a Christmas wedding at short notice. He was amazing and really helpful and flexible. As for his performance I can’t really find the words to explain how amazing and talented he is. His presence and music made my day and my guests were blown away and so complimentary. My only regret is that he had to stop playing and leave at some point ! A super chill, great guy that is just the most talented violinist and performer !!!! I need to plan another event of some kind just to have an excuse to book him again - wedding re-do next year was my suggestion to the hubby 😂

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more from Rock My Reception (Kieran & Dom). They arrived bright and early at 11am to set everything up and stayed with us right through until 9:30pm – true dedication! They played me down the aisle so beautifully, set the perfect vibe during our drinks reception, wowed everyone with their roaming table set, performed our first dance live (a moment we’ll never forget), and then kicked off the evening party in style. From start to finish, the music was incredible and the energy they brought was unmatched. So many of our guests commented on how amazing they were and how much they added to the whole day. We’re beyond grateful and would recommend Rock My Reception to any couple looking for a band that truly goes above and beyond.

These guys were brilliant! We can't thank them enough for such a great night! They were so easy to deal with all throughout the planning and were so professional on the night. Then they got up and played a storming set that got everyone dancing! Would recommend these guys to anyone!

Lorna was the perfect person for our outdoor marquee summer wedding. From the moment we found her online she responded to our messages and answered any questions we had. Even after we had to change our venue with four weeks to go lorna didn’t seem fazed. She listened and took on board what music we both liked and created a soundtrack just right for us. Lorna played everything from lovely chilled out songs to power ballads and then make the party complete with her DJ set. Everyone commented on how amazing she was she made our day complete.

Fantastic band! Really great performance at our wedding. The band were so talented and had all of our music choices that we asked. We had a really great night and our guests loved them! Definitely recommend!

Andrew came to the event prompt and set up without any support. He set the scene perfectly with his set list and would definitely hire again

Finn played at our wedding this October and was fantastic to work with. We had a call with him prior to the day and went through some requests we had. His ability to play pretty much anything suggested was super impressive. A lot of our guests were employed in the video game industry and Finn was kind enough to learn a number of different game songs which everybody absolutely loved. He made time to walk around and talk to the guests too, to get their requests. Wish we could get married again so he could play for us twice!

We had the pleasure of having the Ebor String Quartet perform at our August 2025 wedding, and they were incredible. They created such a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere, and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the music. They were professional, punctual and so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Hearing our special songs performed live was truly magical.

Having Vitula String Quartet perform before and during our ceremony and during the reception really helped create an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere! The music was beautiful and we had so many comments about how wonderful they were! Their communication throughout was spot on and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! I hired James to play one song for a private gig in York, where I was visiting and had planned to propose to my girlfriend. Having not visited York before, James was really helpful, providing information and suggestions which helped me with planning. When it came to the performance, James’ playing was fantastic, it fitted the brief perfectly and really made the moment special. I would definitely hire James again and would recommend him to others who are looking to hire a musician.
