About

Glyn Morris is an Edinburgh-based bagpiper for hire, who has more than thirty years of experience. He offers a friendly and fully comprehensive wedding bagpiper service, tailored to your wishes.

WEDDING BAGPIPER SERVICES

Glyn can play at the bagpipes at several key moments throughout your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast (meal).

Before the ceremony, he can welcome your guests as they arrive and play for the arrival of the bride or partner. He can then pipe you up the aisle playing either the Highland Pipes or the softer Scottish Small Pipes. The Small Pipes can also provide gentle background music while you and your witnesses sign the marriage schedule.

At the end of the ceremony, Glyn can lead you back down the aisle as a married couple and pipe you through your confetti shower.

Later, Glyn can welcome you to your reception, gather your guests for the cutting of the wedding cake, pipe you into the dining room for a grand entrance and lead you to your seats at the top table. Once you are seated, he recites the traditional Piper’s Toast before piping back out of the dining hall.

WEDDING CEREMONY - £200

These are the parts of the wedding ceremony when a piper is traditionally called upon to play. Glyn also offers the softer sounding Scottish Small Pipes to pipe you up the aisle to, and during the Signing of the Register.

  • Play for guests’ arrival
  • Bride and Bridal Party’s arrival
  • Pipe the Bride or Civil Partner up the Aisle
  • Small Pipes during Signing of the Register
  • Pipe the Married Couple down the Aisle
  • Pipe for the Confetti Shower

FULL DAY - WEDDING CEREMONY & WEDDING BREAKFAST - £300

In addition to playing at your wedding ceremony, Glyn also also plays at the following points of your wedding breakfast where a piper is traditionally called upon:

  • Married couple’s arrival at the Reception
  • Pipe in the Top Table guests
  • Pipe the married Couple to their seats at the Top Table
  • Recite the traditional "Piper’s Toast" to the newlyweds

Amazing !!

Great experience with Glyn during our handfasting ceremony at St Anthony's Chapel; the full piper's garb is very impressive, he played beautifully and helped us have the ceremony we dreamed of.
I highly recommend Glyn.

Thank you so much !

What a Celebration

Glyn was such a special part of our wedding day, not only did he play beautiful songs on the bagpipes that set the perfect tone for our celebration, but he also served as our celebrant, leading us through a ceremony that was heartfelt, personal, and unforgettable.

He told our story with such warmth and care, and seamlessly wove in Scottish wedding traditions that added so much meaning and magic to the moment. His blend of charm, humor, and a touch of history made the ceremony feel intimate, unique, and truly ours.

We couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful or talented person to guide us into this new chapter. Glyn brought so much heart and authenticity to our day, we’re endlessly grateful.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to make your big decisions easier.
