About WooHoo Band

Congratulations on your engagement and thank you so much for your interest. We pride ourselves on being different from the usual cheesy style of wedding band and can play a wide variety of music styles and play them with our own unique touch.

We can be with you the whole day from the ceremony to the end of the reception. Having a live band at your ceremony is still unique, but gives a wonderful atmosphere. How you have this is up to you. It could be an acoustic duo or a classic string quartet. You can ask us for a free demo CD to hear for yourself!

During the wedding drinks we can help provide background noise and a sense of occasion when the couple walk in. Setting the mood without overdoing it – encouraging chatter and sipping cocktails. At the reception we are more than willing to work with you to help tailor your perfect all night entertainment. Feel free to discuss first dance options and we can either play it ourselves or help organise the original recording. Then we are there to get the party started and move people onto the floor! We have a fantastic reputation because of our passion and love for what we do and we love to share it with other people.

What is your starting price?

How far in advance should I contact you?

Bands always book up very quickly, especially on Saturday nights. 12-18 months out would be the optimum time to start looking to lock in your band.

What style of music do you offer?

We play all kinds of music. All you need to do is give us an idea of what you''re after and we prepare for your function individually. Giving us a short list of bands/songs/artists that you like and anything you don''t want to hear is all the information we need to work within your general preferences. We play anything from classical, jazz, soul, Motown to the current day hits.

Size of musical group:

We can provide a band of any size from 3-4pc band up to a 15pc band. Let us know what type of event you''re planning and we''ll recommend the size that will suit your function.

Repertoire:

We play all kinds of music. All you need to do is give us an idea of what you''re after and we prepare for your function individually. Giving us a short list of bands/songs/artists that you like and anything you don''''t want to hear is all the information we need to work within your general preferences. Is it possible to request something that is not in the repertoire?

Yes, absolutely. We offer up to 3 special requests first dance, parents dance, bridal entry, processional etc as long as they suit the instrumentation the band. Even if we don''t know a song, we''ll learn it for you.

Experience:

All of our musicians are extremely professional and play music for their living. We''ve been enjoying playing at weddings and corporate functions for many years.

Do you have your own equipment?

We supply all equipment necessary. PA, basic stage lighting and instruments. For functions for over 250 people, extra equipment will need to be hired.

Are you able to travel?

We''re based in Scotland, but often travel nationally and abroad.

Is there a charge for travelling?

If the venue is more than 1 hour from the base city, there is a travel fee involved. Please contact us for a specific quote.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

This is a possibility with our business structure.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

We have a team of professionals, however, you will have a designated consultant who is always at hand to answer any questions or sort out any solutions for you.

What is the length of time of the act?

We offer up to 3 x 45min party sets within a maximum call time of 5hrs from the time the band need to have their setup completed i.e. the time your guests enter the room.

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

We''re always prepared, however, if specific song requests are required, we need 4 weeks notice.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

We charge per event.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours

Yes, extra time is charged by the hour. Please inquire for a specific quote.

What are the forms of payment?

BACS payment is preferred, however, we can take cash or cheque also.
