Kenny - The Wedding Piano Guy, is based in West Fife so ideally located for providing your custom wedding music for your big day throughout Scotland. My repertoire goes from the 40's up until current chart hits, think Frank Sinatra to Benson Boone.

Here is a summary of what I can do for you

Playing suitable music for your guests to settle themselves before the ceremony creating "your wedding" atmosphere.

Playing the music that you've chosen for the Processional, The signing of the Register and the Recessional.

Moving onto the drinks reception/canapes whilst you are getting your all important photographs taken, I can provide music for your guests to mingle. People are more likely to converse and get to know one another when there's music playing. I'm good with people and can generally play some of the requests I may be given by your guests.

I offer my services as

1. Playing before your ceremony and the actual ceremony

2. Playing for your drinks reception/canapes

3. Playing for both the ceremony and the drinks reception.

4 Couples sometimes wish me to play through the wedding breakfast too.

The most popular one that most couples go for is 1. and 2. together as a package.

About me - I am a resident piano player not only in the 5* Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder but also in the Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh. I've also started playing pano in the incredible Taymouth Castle, at Barony Castle and will feature again in the Sheraton Grand Hotel Edinburgh's Hogmanay entertainment programme.

What is included in the wedding package?

I bring my white grand piano shell and electric piano that fits inside along with necessary amplification. It's all PAT tested and I have £10M Public Liability Insurnace through the Musicians Union

How far in advance should I contact you?

As far as possible is my answer. That allows for any special requirements, new songs/repertoire to be learned

My repertoire is pretty extensive as I'm one of the resident pianists at the Gleneagles 5* Hotel in Perthshire and as stated previously, I've been there for a very long time

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Of course it is possible. Your wedding is bespoke and should mirror what you'd like to hear bearing in mind what your guests may wish to hear too

What's your experience?

I have been a professional pianist and have been at Gleneagles 5* hotel since 1979 on an off and I'm still there

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, i'm happy to discuss where your wedding is taking place and can usually accommodate your needs

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, it depends on the distance and what is equitable and fair. We can discuss the finer details

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

What is the length of time of the act?

It's dependant on clients' needs. If I'm playing at the ceremony, the drinks reception or perhaps both

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

I have to have 45 mins before beginning in order to check everything is perfect for your wedding

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

Any extra time is charged as a percentage of the original playing time

What are the forms of payment?

Usually BACS transfer the day before the event to allow the payment to clear or I'm equally happy with cash on the day of the wedding

A wonderful performer for your wedding

Kenny is a fantastic player and can play any tune requested!
He accompanied the bagpipes for me walking down the aisle. (Highland Cathedral)
He even played George Michael’s Carless whisper and the reception!
This musician is an absolute star and so talented.
Kenny is very professional and takes great pride in his work. He looked the part on our wedding day too with a bow tie and suit. As I said very professional all round.
Fantastic musician and a great guy.
Couldn’t have had anyone else for our day and can’t recommend Kenny enough

Wedding 20th December 2025

We had our special day on Saturday 20th December 2025 which was made even more special by having Kenny be there and part of it. Kenny played for our wedding ceremony and was nothing short of phenomenal, all of our guests raved about him. Communication was quick and professional, he showed up in plenty time to set up and looked the part too. All the songs we requested weren't a problem and Kenny learnt any he didn't already know. We had a special request that we didn't think would be possible, for him to play with another musician (sax) we had in attendance for our ceremony exit song. We didn't think it would be possible as they both didn't know each other and wouldnt meet until the day of our wedding however Kenny reached out to the other musician and made it work, we were over the moon and you would have thought they had rehearsed the song for weeks together, it was perfect!
I honestly couldnt recommend Kenny more for any event, such a lovely person and made our day extra special just by being part of it!

Kenny the piano man

Kenny is the most thoughtful caring man who will do anything to make your event special. He played at my wedding and was a very valued part of the day and one that we’ll never forget. His punctuality and professionalism are second to none! If you need a piano man Kenny is your guy for sure.

Gilmour wedding 2024!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Kenny play the piano at our wedding and we couldn't be more grateful for the beautiful atmosphere he created. A Recommendation for Every Wedding

Kenny played for us and our guests whilst the photos taken at our wedding. This is often the part of the day where the guests are in limbo. Kenny kept the atmosphere going and got us ready to head into the wedding breakfast with smiles and laughter.

He is a beautiful pianist, funny and entertaining. The range of music he can play is second to none. He was very flexible with the music and took recommendations from guests. He even went as far as to accommodate one of our young guests who is a budding piano player and let him play us a song. This was a delight to us and all guests seeing a young man brave enough to play such a beautiful piece of music. Thank you Kenny for allowing him to showcase his talents.

Kenny was also a delight to chat to with his relaxed attitude and funny anecdotes. He was a massive hit with us and our guests. Many a comment was made over the following days from our guests praising him. I would book him for any future events and would recommend him for any wedding.

Can't Recommend Highly Enough

Hi Kenny,

Thank-you ever so much for playing during our wedding at Seamill Hydro last year.

All of our guests were astounded by your talent and thought it had set the perfect atmosphere for our special day. Having worked in the wedding industry for 12+ years , I have seen my fair share of wedding entertainment and could not have asked for anything more.

Your performance was totally impeccable in light of some questionable song choices by our Best Man. And to think you remembered them all when we seen you up at Gleneagles over a year later, made us feel extra special.

Kenny was absolutely wonderful at our wedding.

Kenny's piano playing brought so much warmth and heart to the day and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved his music too. He was not only incredibly talented, but also kind, professional and a true joy to work with. He very diligently rehearsed our requests as well offering his own recommendations.
