James Roy has a love for playing and sharing music and is always keeping his finger on the pulse when it comes to new music. He was brought up on, and plays a wide variety of genres; from Disco to House, Hip Hop to Rnb, 80s/90s, Rock to Indie, Funk and pretty much anything in between, mixed in a number if different styles to cater for the event/moment.

We’re not talking the over use of the microphone here, but carefully selected music based on your requirements and the right levels of engagement with you & your guests, to ensure an enjoyable day/evening for all.

But most importantly he guarantees a friendly, collaborative & trusted service that fills you with the confidence before and throughout your special day.

Standard Package includes: 5 hours of music, Full professional lighting and sound system for up to 100people (Includes a large Glitter ball and LED lighting). Sound system upgrade also available

So pleased we chose Royston Music!

James was our DJ for our wedding and he was absolutely brilliant. Months before the wedding he kindly edited a track for us as we were thinking of using it for our first dance. He also assisted with cutting a track down for us so we could use it for part of our ceremony. James was super friendly, super responsive and very professional. His set up was flawless and his lighting system really set the scene.
James even liaised with my 96 year old grandfather before our wedding and allowed him to borrow his speaker system so my grandad could perform a set for our guests!

James went above and beyond and I would highly recommend him. Thank you! :)

Brilliant wedding DJ!

We had James to DJ at our wedding last December, he was really helpful throughout the planning process and went above and beyond to make sure our requests were carried out on the day. He had everyone on the dance floor all night, we couldn’t have asked for more. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Absolutely brilliant

James did a brilliant job DJing for our wedding. He arrived on time with a quality sound system and there were no issues at all. Read the dance floor really well and played all our ‘must plays’. Great communication leading up to the wedding as well. Would highly recommend!

If you want people do dance all night, this is the DJ you want.

If I had another party to organise I would definitely go to Royston Music DJ again.

He adapted to the crowd (ages, nationalities) to play banger after banger. He made it the best party of our lives.

Incredible wedding reception music!

We're so happy we went with James as our wedding DJ. We didn't have a typical 'traditional' wedding and the music was really important to us - he was super accommodating of our taste and requests! Laid back in the most professional way - he was really easy to work with and no stress at all. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to put on a great party for their wedding!

Seriously incredible wedding DJ!

Best wedding DJ set I've ever heard! James (Royston Music DJ) did an incredible job at our wedding. The dance floor filled up instantly and stayed that way til the end. He blended the tastes of myself and my partner with so much creativity and mixing expertise – plus he was so friendly and easy to work with. We also loved the dancefloor atmosphere he created with his lights, decorations, etc. Cannot recommend enough!

Nicola & Ian Wedding

Amazing Dj

James was the DJ for our wedding in April 2022 and we couldn’t be happier with how the music went on the night! James was brilliant from the start, he helped us in all the meetings pre wedding, with timings for the first dance , playlists for the wedding breakfast and of course then onto an amazing playlist for the evening! The dance floor was full. We recommend James highly! His communication is excellent, he’s reliable and very good at what he does. We can’t thank you enough James.

Personalised DJ service

James was fantastic from the moment we first made contact to the very end of our amazing day! He listened to everything we were asking for and helped create such a great playlist. On the day he adapted it perfectly given the type and numbers on the dancefloor and even at the end of the night everyone was still on the dancefloor celebrating! I would highly recommend James for your wedding or special event.

Great night!
