Quartz - The ultimate touch of class for your special day.

Quartz is a truly unique ensemble, blending the soulful voice and piano playing of our singer with the mellow sounds of three brass instruments. This combination of vocals, piano and brass is rarely see in modern pop music – our arrangements breathe relaxing new life into pop songs by intertwining the warmth of the voice and piano with the rich dynamic tones of brass instruments, creating a refreshing and unexpected fusion.

As professional musicians, we guarantee performances of the highest quality, with a professional attitude and the flexibility to meet your needs. We’re made up of two husband and wife couples, and we’ve played together for many many years – we understand how important it is to get the little details just right to make your special occasion perfect.

The quartet consists of Annette as singer and pianist, along with Paul, Tracey and Warren on brass. We have the beautiful, mellow and soulful voice of Annette , who is a professional vocal coach and pianist. Her husband, Warren (trombone player), is a published composer (writing the music for Rory Bremner’s wedding!) and writes all the arrangements specifically for our line-up. Paul (cornet, trumpet) and wife, Tracey (flugel, horn) are the other half that make up Quartz. Both have achieved success performing at the highest level with some of the country’s premier brass ensembles. Paul plays for the world number one ranking brass band Foden’s Band, of which Tracey is also a part.

Quartz is a totally unique group. Our arrangements are specifically written by us for us, and that’s what makes us extra special. If you want beautiful ambient music to enhance your event, then Quartz is perfect. Wedding? We can entertain your guests as they gather at your wedding venue, or create the perfect ambience at your wedding reception. Corporate function? What better way than to impress your clients with unique background music of the highest quality. Concert or Fundraising event? Either background music or an evening of music introduced and compèred by the members of the group themselves. Special requests will be considered carefully as they take time to arrange and write (we require written music), and then rehearse to perfection! So we ask for a minimum of 4 months notice. Please note: all requests will be considered, but not all music will be suitable for our unique line up.
