The Blue Rinse are a multi-award-winning 5-piece male live covers band + DJ (keys, drums, lead and bass guitar, lead and backing vocals for smooth harmonies), with a passion for performing and over 22 years’ experience. (Started young! 😉) We don’t just play songs—we bring them to life.

Based in Bedfordshire, we regularly perform across Beds, Herts, Cambs, Bucks, Northants, Oxon, Leics, London and Essex - and we’re always happy to travel further afield to create an unforgettable night of music, merriment, and memories!

Yes! Couples can request a live first dance song & Top 30. Any we perform regularly we'll arrange in bespoke live sets & our DJ will play any remaining. We may learn a song that complements our set

Yes, starting fee + travel. (Fee structure based on mileage from our central base in Shefford, Bedfordshire.)

What is the length of time of the act?
We perform 3 hours of live music!
Standard package includes 3 x 60mins band sets, complimented by our DJ to start, between & following live sets, within 7.30pm -12.00midnight.

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
We're super smooth! 70mins to set up and sound check & with direct access into the performance area this can be reduced to 60mins. We'll then change into outfits while music starts via our sound desk!

The absolute best band there is! We had the most amazing time at our wedding on Saturday, my husband and I didn’t leave the dance floor all night! We have had so many messages from our guests saying how amazing the guys were. A couple of my friends have asked for your details as they both have children getting married next year. We had a few quieter moments on the dance floor because of the football but luckily you guys played so many good songs that it soon got filled again. My absolute favourite part of the night was when the DJ played my requested Estonian song that then followed by our favourite Freed from Desire played by the band. The transition was amazing, and it was just perfect for us. The first dance song was sung so beautifully, we both loved it so much. Last, but definitely not least, the communication before the wedding was great and you were so helpful throughout. The wedding card with our set list was a nice, unexpected touch. I can’t wait to hear you play again!! I’m already making plans for my 40th because I need an excuse to dance with you again! Although this is still a few years away. Thank you again so much! You truly made our wedding party so fun, and we couldn’t be happier how everything went.

Thank you again to all The Blue Rinse boys, they were absolutely amazing at our wedding. Myself and my husband were dancing all night long and we have no faults whatsoever. I wish we could relive it again it was that good! Our guests also loved you and said how amazing you all were, so thank you.

The best wedding decision!
The Blue Rinse were outstanding from start to finish. Booking and communication was super easy and stress free. On the night the band were incredible with a great selection of songs and great energy. We have had so many comments about how incredible the band were. We wouldn’t hesitate to use you again. Thanks for making our night an exceptional one! Our 3 & 4 year-old dancing queens loved you and kept asking for you to come back in the breaks!

Best band in Bedfordshire!!!
This is the best band in Bedfordshire and beyond by far!! If you are looking for great music, great communication and an amazing time then book the Blue Rinse - they were fabulous at our wedding reception and the dance floor was full all night - 10/10!!

Made Our Wedding That Extra Bit Special
Whenever we had a question Marie responded immediately. We hired the movie lighting and so pleased we did. Loads of our guests talked about it and it really did add the personal touch. We loved it and it features on so many of our evening photos. Would we recommend Blue Rinse band – 1million perfect!!

Our only disappointment is our own – Our guests left earlier than we hoped due to the fact it was the hottest day of the year (drinks had been flowing all day) and bank holiday Monday so a few people at work the next day. But those there until the end never stopped dancing.

The Blue Rinse elevated our dance floor and the atmosphere to a level we could not have imagined. The music choices were brilliant, and we LOVED our first dance song live. We found the band by chance at a wedding fair in Milton Keynes, and booking them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Marie was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process, making everything so easy from start to finish. On the day, they created an incredible atmosphere and put together an amazing set list that perfectly included all of our requests. The dance floor was full all night, and even four months later our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Best wedding band!
WOW!! We had the band at our wedding in September 2025- What a band! The dancefloor was filled all night, the quality of the music, sound and everything was outstandidng. All of our guests are STILL talking about how amazing they all were. Thank you for eveything!!

We could not have been happier with everything that you all did for us – the whole process from start to end was easy & seamless and all the music was far better than we could have hoped for! All our guests have been incredibly complimentary about the band, and we think this was evident from how packed it was all night! The songs that the DJ played were also perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more 😊 We will be recommending TBR to everyone and hope to see you at one of your gigs soon! (We also really appreciate your flexibility & understanding with the late start time!)

Martin Gibbings
Drummer and Band Manager
Hey everyone!! My name is Martin the groovy party starting drummer of the Blue Rinse :)
- I love being part of the Blue Rinse team! We ALL pride ourselves in delivering the complete music package, from the live first dance, to the 3 fun energy packed 60 min sets, stage lighting and of course our DJ / roaming sound engineer.
- My wife Marie is also part of the team and liases with all of our fab couples right through their organising jouney. Marie receives as many compliments as we do, she is so organised and helpful to all our couples (we are not an Agency you deal with us directly).
- We really enjoy performing together as a real band and as friends we all get on so well. You'll see that camaraderie and friendship in full swing on stage too! I find it so inspiring playing in a band where we are all so experienced and where we all want the same thing ('TO FULL DANCEFLOORS'), it is so so special and often hard to find!
- We always love being part of a couple’s big day and are so privileged to be in a position to entertain all the different friends and family that attend a wedding.
- Our number one goal is to unite as many people as possible across all the different ages to create a party vibe and soundtrack for everyone to remember forever!
