From early on in our wedding planning, Susan was so much more than just our celebrant, she was our planner, our nerve calmer and overall just a genuinely amazing help throughout the whole planning process right up to the day! Susan filled us with confidence every step of the way and on the day took control and helped make sure our day went perfectly to plan. Susan was an instant delight from the moment we met her! We were looking for a unique experience for our wedding day and she pulled out all the stops for us, including marrying us with Haribo rings, drinking from a quaich, and having three of our (coupled) friends to offer us 'light-hearted words of advice. What made the day even more special and relaxed though, was that Susan was incredibly personable and felt immediately familiar like we had known her much longer than what we had. She made our ceremony an unforgettable experience!

We had multiple venues and multiple dates but eventually got married on 23rd December. Susan was a tower of strength through the whole process keeping in touch etc. Taking away the nerves and the fears. Susan is a pure joy. Susan was our celebrant for our intimate wedding in December at the Bonham hotel. From our first video call we knew she was the right person for our ceremony. Being of a mixed faith relationship we actually found it really hard to find the right person to personalise the ceremony the way we wanted it. This was no issue for Susan, and she made sure our ceremony was individual to us and was really helpful suggesting ideas of things we could do. She is a true professional, all the little things you might worry about or feel like you don’t have time to worry about on the big day, she has covered! My friends and family thought she was brilliant too and all commented after the ceremony. From the moment, my husband and I met Susan at a random wedding fair, we clicked instantly. Susan is one of the most remarkable people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting in our life. We met Susan at the Scottish wedding show in 2022 where originally Susan was just intrigued to see our little one in the pram. From a light hearted conversation we discovered Susan was exactly what we were looking for ! Throughout the two years of planning Susan was so meticulous in getting to know not just us but our wider circle. Susan produced the most personal and heartfelt ceremonies on our wedding day to which we are still receiving compliments for ! 10/10 would recommend!!

Susan was absolutely wonderful as our celebrant for our outdoor wedding! From start to finish, she brought warmth, professionalism, and a genuine joy that made the day so memorable. She crafted a ceremony that was personal, heartfelt, and perfectly suited to our outdoor setting, making every guest feel included. Every meeting and chat we had with her was so relaxed, she made planning the ceremony a breeze and had thoughtful touches and ideas that made our ceremony feel unique and special. She was also so much fun to have perform our ceremony - everyone who was there commented on how personal, touching, and fun it was. We couldn’t recommend her enough, she totally made the day!

Susan officiated our ceremony when we got married at Neidpath Castle in October. We are so lucky to have her as our celebrant. From our first video call, we just felt at ease and comfortable with her. Even on the months leading to our wedding, Susan has been very patient with us. She has been so kind and checking in on us, and had faith that we will get the admin tasks done. On our wedding day, Susan conducted a rousing ceremony, filled with funny anecdotes and shared touching moments of our love story. All of our guests commented about how our ceremony was so honest and personal, and wasn’t just an administrative process to become official. It was the first time for the majority of our guests to witness a wedding with Scottish traditions. When Susan performed the binding of our hands and as David and I tied the knot into a saltire, everyone was amazed. When she read the solemn words as we drank from the quaich, everyone was in awe. Even when I made a blunder with my official vows, Susan was patient and guided me through it. Of course, being David’s “comfort AND disappointment” would have been true, too. She could have left it that but Susan made sure our union is indisputable and that I said the right words that made it legal. I could go on and on about how perfect our ceremony was and how Susan played a vital role into that. Instead, I’ll end with this poetry.
An ode to Susan:

When David and I tied the knot,
Susan Miller was our wedding officiant.
Dressed in burgundy, she was so elegant;
Calm, warm, her words were eloquent.
Everyone listened, each word was relevant;
A rousing ceremony, she was so reverent.
Honest and personal, not at all regiment;
She certified we completed what’s pertinent.
She shared our funny and sweet sentiment;
Above all, she ensured love was the element.
Our day was soulful, of happiness so redolent,
We’re so lucky to have Susan as our celebrant.

Cannot thank Susan enough! We were married October 2024, she met with us several times up to 6 months before, learned our story, asked us questions indirectly to find out more details and created a completely personalised ceremony. We had so many compliments on Susan and our ceremony because it was completely unique to us. Even in the lead up to out wedding, Susan checked in, helped us with legalities and was always there to answer any questions. Susan was our celebrant for our wedding at Rowallan Castle. We are from the US and Susan took the time to explain all the amazing Scottish traditions we could include in our ceremony. She met with us multiple times and went above and beyond to make our ceremony extremely personal. She had all the guests laughing (and crying!) and we honestly could not have asked for a better person for our ceremony.
