Coast Ceremonies is a wedding celebrant service based in the port town of Lymington in Hampshire, England. Owner Karen Hopwood loves adding a bespoke touch to weddings with her friendly, professional demeanour and clear, strong speaking voice. She loves meeting new people and working closely with couples to create a personalised time at the altar for them. Whether you want your ceremony script to be funny and modern or romantic and traditional, Karen will be ready to make it happen.

I am affiliated to the International College of Professional Celebrants as well as The Celebrant Circle and Inner Circle. I have a strong, clear speaking voice and am well used to public speaking, having held various public speaking roles over the years. I have a warm wit and imaginative mindset which brings my ceremonies to life. I am able to create unique ceremonies that reflect the personalities of my clients whether in a formal setting or in your own front room. I have delivered everything from small, family-only weddings to ceremonies with over two hundred attendees. You will be in very safe hands.

I am a dog-lover and love to walk in the countryside or seaside with my lovely Labrador. Dogs are family so if you want a ceremony to include your dog that is fine with me. I am very much a part of my local sailing community and have done boat namings in memory of loved ones as part of my repertoire. I have travelled extensively throughout my life, and I love to hear about traditions within all cultures and would love to incorporate those traditions within my ceremonies if that is what my clients want. Through Coast Ceremonies, Karen works to give each couple a unique experience that's far from the one-size-fits-all ceremony. After multiple meetings with you and learning more about your love story, she will craft a script that best reflects your romantic connection. She can also incorporate various rituals into your big day, including handfasting, unity candles, tea ceremonies, and quaich ceremonies. While based in Hampshire, she is happy to travel just about anywhere for her clients.
