The 18th-century Georgian building combines elegance, architectural integrity, and a contemporary twist. This carefully designed venue allows you and your guests to soak in the surrounding views and feel a sense of calm. The Kings Arms Hotel offers exclusive use of wedding suites, a stylish restaurant & bar, and luxury boutique bedrooms. They have a variety of luxury boutique bedrooms perfect to relax in before or after your celebrations, including three bridal suites that can be booked for the night prior to your wedding. The beautiful bowling green and Pavilion are amidst ancient castle ruins, which exude romance for your wedding vows and drinks reception. Your day will continue in the unique and exclusive Kings Priory Suite, a split-level venue created for your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. This space continues to provide a stunning view overlooking the Avon River, Christchurch Castle, and the Kings Arms Bowling Green.

A beautiful day

We got married at the Kings Arms in May 2023, since then we have had so many people comment on how lovely the venue was and how much they liked the food!

Staff were attentive nothing was too much for our wedding planner Sinead and the coordinator on the day (I sadly haven’t remembered his name!)

We did have a couple of minor issues but in the scheme of things these did not impact our day, one of our guests place settings was removed however this was quickly resolved and the music for our wedding breakfast was not played, I did ask one of the waitresses and she said it was playing just quietly however I am confident this wasn’t the case as I had the device for the music!

As I say these were only minor details to us and overall we had a truly lovely day and overall staff were so helpful and attentive.

We booked our wedding with the Kings Arms and despite trying to get hitched in a pandemic, which was stressful to say the least, we didn’t want to get Covid-19 get in the way of our plans, despite it trying its hardest!! We had a slightly smaller wedding than originally planned, but Sam and the rest of the team at the Kings Arms rode the storm with us and made our day absolutely perfect. Would strongly recommend booking here to anyone! Thank you so much once again. Mr and Mrs Evans x x

Wonderful venue

We are so glad we chose to get Married at the Kings, they went above and beyond for us from start to finish, all the staff were incredible on the day, the food was amazing and the cost compared to most venues was so reasonable for what we got in our package! I would highly recommend them, it truly was the most magical day and we can't wait to return soon!

A perfect day

We got married 27th May 2022 and we had the best day. The staff were amazing and all our guests loved the day. We had to rearrange our wedding a few times due to Covid and cannot fault how helpful the staff were in helping us rearrange things.

A vision turned into the best day of our lives

We got married here on 25th August 2024 and we were blown it was beyond our expectations and more.
From the night before nothing was to much trouble a nice welcome, then the big day where myself and the bridal party had breakfast in the room to make it easier for us, Dean and Sophie were on hand from the beginning to take the stress of us and nothing was to much trouble. They both helped with our little girl and keeping her busy whilst mummy got some photos with grandad. Everyone has commented on how well they were looked after and the food was amazing! Nothing was to much trouble if we needed something it was sorted such as sun cream.

We had the best day and cannot thank the team enough💖

Our `Perfect Wedding

We had our wedding at The Kings in June 2023. They made our dreams come true.
They were professional and also kept a personal touch.
Managed to always answer our e mails in a timely manner and accommodated anything we struggled with.
The service was faultless and they went to a lot of effort to orchestrate it so we didn't see each other until walking down the aisle. They gave us an option of having the service only which made this affordable for us. We cannot thank them enough.
Also, as a female only couple, we quite often feel out of place in wedding venues but at the Kings, we felt none of this.
They seem to care about you and do what they can to give you your perfect wedding.
We were also able to have our Dogs at the service, who were made to feel incredibly special!
We LOVED the room and our guests ALL had a wonderful time.

We cannot thank them enough.

Perfect venue for our wedding day

We had a great experience at the Kings from start to finish with organising our wedding.
Everyone was so helpful before and on the day, big thank you to Kayleigh, Dean and all the team for everything. Nothing was too much trouble and the team were so flexible with our personal touches. We couldn’t have picked anywhere better!

Our Wedding (during a pandemic)

We couldn't have had a better day, we had had to downsize our original plans and change venues due to the COVID restrictions. With the amazing help of Sam Clayson at the Kings Arms we managed to arrange our whole wedding in 2 1/2 weeks. Sam was always on hand with ideas of how to make the best of the day and recommendations of local suppliers. We could amend the standard packages in order to make the event our own. As we couldn't have entertainment under the restrictions it was Sam's idea that we had a quiz which all the guests absolutely loved.

We could taste the menu choices to get the combination right beforehand, we could go in the day before and make sure everything was set up ready which put our minds at rest.

The food was excellent, the service was very professional but made everyone feel relaxed, no one managed to get to the bottom of their glass before it was refilled. All our guests had a great time and were highly complimentary on how much they had enjoyed the reception and how lovely the food and drink were.

I am pretty hard to please but I truly can't fault anything and would highly recommend this venue.

A wonderful day

Hi there Chamane,

We all had a wonderful day ...thank you to you and your team...it was fabulous. The pavilion and the wedding breakfast room both looked so pretty , we were really , really happy with it all .
It was a bit of a shame the sun didn't come out , but once we were all together and enjoying ourselves it didn't matter.

Thank you for all your help , it went so smoothly and we felt relaxed , chilled and very calm ! I've arranged a few balls and dinner dances in the past so it lovely to sit back and let someone else do all the work !!

Thank you again , we will definitely recommend you and we will pop in for a drink or afternoon tea again soon !

Can we do it all again!

Thank you so much for all of your help with the organisation and planning of our wedding. We had a truly lovely day and everything went smoothly. Kinga and Samantha looked after us very well on the day as well. I would love to do the day all over again! It is a lovely venue and we are very glad we chose the Kings Arms.

Polite & Professional

Hi Chamane,

Incredible wedding day you supplied us, extremely happy, everything was smoothly run, food was excellent, congrats to Chef as usual, you have one very happy bride and a groom fellow wedding expert who is also impressed and happy of how the hotel staff run round to do everything they could to make my beautiful bride really happy and relaxed. She was completely relaxed on her day, even on her walk down the aisle, you had all done an amazing job of making her feel awesome!

I have to also praise the cleaning staff of the rooms as they handed in our iPad she had left behind in our room under the bed sheets! Bar staff were as usual polite and professional and I loved seeing all the familiar faces
Special thanks and applause goes to Kinga as always she was immense in her attention, don’t know how she keeps it up all day.

Looking forward to seeing you and the team again soon!

Amazing Staff

Dear Sam,
A massive thank you to yourself and all the wonderful staff at The Kings Arms Hotel for making our special day so amazing. We had a fantastic time as did all of our guests.
You have such a positive and professional energy, you are quick to respond and answered all of our questions, you gave us total confidence, it was a pleasure to work with you.

Amazing venue for a romantic wedding!

What an amazing venue for a romantic wedding. My Granddaughters perfect day was magic. Staff at the wedding breakfast especially surpassed expectations. The seamless organisation from the pavilion ceremony to the reception was perfect. Staff were so friendly and helpful, they went the extra mile to provide honey and lemon drinks to my Granddaughter when she lost her voice on her wedding eve.
