How I Began as a Celebrant

After being asked to help a friend by reading a eulogy at a funeral, Chris discovered a whole world of ceremony and ritual that he had no idea existed. He decided to try his hand, but recognised that the need for proper training, so took the plunge and invested in a residential course with ICPC. Since then he has not looked back, gaining experience and bulding a portfolio of funerals and weddings.

Finding the right celebrant, whether for a funeral or a wedding, is an important but totally personal decision. Not every celebrant will suit every client. There are three separate but linked parts of what every celebrant does. The obvious part is the content - the script and form of the ceremony itself.
