Hi! I’m Emily - but please call me Em - an independent wedding celebrant based in Surrey, creating heartfelt ceremonies filled with love and laughter for couples across Surrey, London and beyond to wherever your love takes me.
I am so proud to be a recommended wedding celebrant at some of Surrey’s most loved wedding venues, including The Barn at Botley Hill and Gate Street Barn. I work closely with couples to tell their story in a way that feels right to them. Whether your ceremony is romantic and emotional, relaxed and playful, or somewhere beautifully in between, I’ll take the time to get to know you properly and craft something that reflects your relationship down to the smallest detail. Every word written just for you so your celebration feels unmistakably yours.

What I offer as your Wedding Celebrant:
- The creation and delivery of a personalised wedding ceremony which is 100% you
- A little welcome gift to support you through wedding planning
- A WhatsApp group with you both so we can stay in touch, share ideas etc. in the lead up to your big day
- Access to a password protected part of my website with lots of useful resources which will help you to think about your wedding ceremony in more detail (including a personal vow writing guide)
- Two questionnaires (one for ceremony details, one for all the lovely stuff - these, along with any meetings, are what I use to create your personalised wedding ceremony)
- A wedding ceremony workshop where we go through the first draft and make tweaks and edits as you wish
- A vow writing tutorial (optional)
- Handmade personal vow and reading books
- Lots of practise on my side to make sure your wedding ceremony runs smoothly
- Extra meetings for a rehearsal/anyone doing a reading etc.
- On the day, I arrive nice and early, will check in with you and your suppliers and anyone else involved in your wedding ceremony
- After your ceremony, you will receive a lovely little gift and I will stay in touch for as long as you want me to!

If it wasn’t obvious already, I bloomin’ love a cuppa! I love everything a mug of tea encompasses; warmth, a good gossip with an old friend, a comfort blanket on rainy days, a member of the 6am club and a sidekick to my laptop when I’m busy writing personalised wedding ceremonies.
My love for weddings all started when I was 16, when I worked weekends waitressing for Two Many Cooks (if you haven’t booked your caterer already, check them out!). I spent countless Saturdays balancing (very heavy) drink trays and watching couples celebrate their love, often mesmerised by a bride gliding across a perfectly kept lawn at an array of beautiful Surrey wedding venues.
I absolutely adore dancing and once upon a time attended The BRIT School. These days, I mainly dance in the kitchen with my husband anytime Defying Gravity comes on the radio or to entertain my very energetic toddler.
I am the owner of a small fluffy dog, Freddie the cavapoo. And when I’m not crafting and delivering ceremonies as a wedding celebrant in Surrey and surrounding areas, you can find me in the classroom as a part-time primary school teacher.
My very own wedding ceremony was celebrant-led and it completely changed how I viewed weddings. We had the freedom to create a ceremony that was totally us - personal, heartfelt yet full of joy and laughter. That experience is what inspired me to become a wedding celebrant.
