About

Every love story deserves more than a script.

As a professionally trained actor and writer, I've spent years telling stories on some of the country's biggest stages, including multiple performances at the National Theatre, as well as appearing across television productions for Amazon, the BBC and other major broadcasters. Throughout my career, I've learnt that the most powerful stories aren't the loudest or the longest - they’re the ones that reveal something true about the people at their heart.

That's exactly how I approach every ceremony I write.

For me, a wedding ceremony isn't about listing milestones or reciting a timeline of your relationship. It's about discovering what makes your love unique. Of course, I'll want to hear about how you met, your first date, the proposal and all the moments that brought you here. But what I'm really interested in is everything underneath that:

Why this person? What is it about them that makes you feel at home? What do they bring out in you that nobody else does? Why have the two of you chosen each other, every day, up until this one?

Those are the conversations I love having, because that's where the ceremony starts to become something much more personal than a timeline of events.

I take the time to really get to know every couple I work with. Through conversations, questions (and often a few unexpected stories), I build a picture of who you are individually and what you've created together. The result is a ceremony that feels unmistakably yours.

My background as an actor means I don't just write ceremonies - I deliver them with warmth, confidence and ease. I know how to read a room, how to include an audience, how to let important moments breathe, and how to strike the balance between emotion and celebration without anything ever feeling rehearsed or performative. My role is simply to tell your story in a way that allows everyone present to recognise the love that's brought them together.

I'm based in London and also have a base in Stockport, meaning I work with couples across both the South and the North West, and I'm always happy to travel for the right ceremony.

Whether you're planning something intimate or surrounded by hundreds of your favourite people, my aim is always the same: to create a ceremony that feels authentic, generous and completely reflective of who you are.

At the end of the day, I don't want to write a ceremony that simply tells people what happened. I want to write one that captures what your love actually is.

That’s the kind of ceremony both you and your guests will remember forever.

The most personal and thoughtful celebrant!

You will absolutely not regret hiring Akshay as your celebrant. He truly took the time to get to know us and our story and turned our jumbled thoughts into the most thoughtful, emotional and personal wedding ceremony. It was everything we dreamed of and more, and that was truly down to Akshay and how he delivered the service!!

One of the best wedding decisions we made!!

Akshay was incredible from start to finish. He delivered one of the most memorable parts of the day and we had so many guests come up to us saying how brilliant he was. Could not recommend him enough! Without doubt the best vendor we booked for the wedding!!
