Helen was wonderful and made me and my bridal party feel so welcome when I was looking for my dress. She picked one I hadn't initially considered and obviously saw something I hadn't as it was the one! She also helped us order more material to change it slightly in alterations, making the whole process easy and calm. Would highly recommend!

I visited The Wedding Dress Barn in February 2025 and found a lovely selection of dresses. I hadn't visited many other bridal shops at the time and so wasn't sure what to expect.

Helen was very personable on our first visit and we mostly enjoyed the experience however the level of professionalism and after-care that we received after the first visit was disappointing.

On the day of my first appointment I found a dress that I was happy with. Ordinarily I would have taken time to mull it over but I'd been told that I needed to act quickly as there were only 6 months until the wedding and dresses take a long time to be made and delivered. Under the pressure of this knowledge I said "yes to the dress" but the next day started to have some doubts as I felt like I had rushed into the decision.

I communicated these doubts to Helen about 3 days later but she said it was too late to change the order and persuaded me to stick with it. I was told the dress would take 4 months to be made (estimated June delivery) but it arrived within two weeks of ordering. This might sound like a good thing but it was quite strange for the order time to have been changed so dramatically! It made me wonder whether the dress had really been ordered in as a bespoke order or whether it was already in stock? It was also frustrating to find that the order time had been shortened by 14 weeks as we'd lined up an appointment with the seamstress for June (paying a premium for a "rush order job" so the dress could be ready by August) but then had to rearrange the appointment for an earlier date. We found it strange that a wedding shop would get the delivery time so wrong!

There was also confusion about the veil and the wrong one was ordered. I was told I'd need to pay £50 to reorder it and that it might take up to 6 weeks to arrive. Again, the veil came within about 2 weeks. When my mum went to collect the veil it was scrunched up in a polythene bag and not presented in the way you'd expect.

Unfortunately, due to my experience, I would not recommend this store. Particularly now that I been to other stores and had a much less pressured and more professional experience.

I put off buying a wedding dress for ages, as I wasn’t quite ready to pick one. My friend knows Helen and we went to try on some dresses 4 months before my wedding day to have some ideas of what I am looking for.
I was lost to say the least. I picked 3 and Helen picked one, she called it a wild card one. Well, I ended up buying that dress as it was like it was made for me. Perfect. Simply elegant and was the prettiest dress I have ever seen. Helen was super professional, friendly and she has an eye for finding you the dress you meant to have. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic boutique, I had such a wonderful experience buying my wedding gown here and I am beyond happy with my choice 🤩 the barn itself is stunning and the dresses are incredible! Helen has taken the time to carefully select the most beautiful gowns and I loved that I didn't have to sift through hundreds of over-filled rails to find the perfect gown for me. This is THE place to go for anyone who likes boho style or sparkles! I tried on over 40 dresses at 6+ boutiques and none were quite as special as the Wedding Dress Barn. I'm confident I got a great deal since I bought my gown in a flash sample sale, and I'm so pleased it is one-of-a-kind since Helen designed the underskirt which means it is totally unique! Helen and Jane made me feel comfortable, special and beautiful and listened to what I wanted. If I could do it all again I would come here every time! Thank you so much ♥️♥️

I was concerned that as an older bride I would look like mutton dressed as lamb.
I wanted to look classy but be comfortable as I would be wearing the dress throughout the day.
Hannah and Helen couldn't have been more attentive and understanding, nothing was too much trouble.
I had an amazing experience with these two lovely ladies.
My dress was perfect and I felt amazing, the registra even commented that I would give Pippa Middleton a run for her money.

What can I say...I had no idea of what dress I wanted. I’d lost all hope, nothing looked wow online and other dress shops didn’t seem to have the time nor patience with me. I travelled from Kent to the wedding dress barn due to the reviews. I was not disappointed. Hannah and the team took their time discussing my needs and showing me a huge selection of dresses. The gowns they have are absolutely gorgeous. I found the perfect dress at the wedding barn, I cannot wait to get married in my gown, the whole experience was special, bespoke and best of all I didn’t feel pressured in anyway.

Honestly the best experience I had while dress shopping was at The Wedding Dress Barn with Hannah and Helen! It’s one bride at a time in such a relaxed and beautiful environment. There is no pressure at all to buy a dress which I found at a lot of other stores! I ended up getting my gorgeous dress here and I can’t wait to wear it on my big day?
