Hi, I'm Steph, owner of Rose Marie Alterations. I'm a bridal alterations specialist based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
My grandmother, Rosemary, taught me to sew from a young age. Straight out of university in 2015, I started working for David's Bridal as an alterations specialist, and then I moved to a small bridal boutique in Cambridgeshire, which is where I completely fell in love with bridal alterations. I have also worked as a garment technologist, where I really learned the art of the perfect fit. In 2023, I left the corporate world and set up my own alterations business in my home in St Neots.
I'm very passionate about what I do and am a complete perfectionist. It is my aim to make you feel completely confident on your wedding day!
I can work with any kind of dress style and fabric. Whether you want just general alterations or require customisation to your gown, I love to talk through ideas and get creative and will always make sure you are completely comfortable with any changes made. I absolutely adore beading, so if you have a beaded dress and are worried about it being altered, it will be in safe hands with this beading fanatic!
If you are not sure where to go for your alterations or you have ideas for customisation that you would like to discuss before your first fitting, you can book a consultation prior to your first fitting for a fee of £25. I'll invite you to bring your dress to me; you can see where I work and we can talk through your ideas or concerns.
Most wedding dresses will need 2-3 fittings or more if you require customisation, so we will really get to know each other throughout the process. I can't wait to meet you and hear all about your wedding!
