Beautiful dress

I had the most beautiful wedding dress from Catherine Deane. You do feel really special in their Wapping boutique which was so pretty. The material for the dress was very high quality.

Beautiful designs, mixed service

I had a mixed experience with Catherine Deane.

The dresses, skirts etc are beautiful and offer a great alternative to the traditional gowns that you see in a lot of bridal shops, the price point is also good. The assistant asked what styles I liked, I said off the shoulder so they added an off shoulder option to the tube top I had picked. They offered an in house alteration service and during my appointment the tailor came in and explained what he would do with my outfit to make it off the shoulder. My understanding was that this was going to be done prior to me picking up my order, my final order included the extra material for this purpose which I paid for.

To cut a long story short when I picked up the outfit in July I was given the tube top, skirt and the raw piece of material I had ordered by the sales assistant. I explained to the sales assistant that I had been expecting the top and skirt to be with an off the shoulder piece and that that’s what the extra material was for.

She said this would need to be done in an alteration appointment. I said right ok that’s not what I expected but let’s get it done. However she then said there weren’t any alteration appointments left for July so nothing could be done. I said but this ‘alteration’ was expected so surely it should have been booked in back when I ordered the outfit several months ago. The sales assistant basically said there wasn’t anything she could do but got a colleague to come in. She said the same thing as the original assistant. With the upshot being that I would need to take the raw material to another place to have it made into the look I had originally tried on. I said I wasn’t sure I wanted to do that because I didn’t know how much another place would charge me. She didn’t really have an answer for this so we went round in circles for a bit. I also had an Ipad put in front of me with a contract which I was expected to sign saying I was happy with my items and was taking them off the premises. When I said I didn’t want to sign and take the items away today this seemed to be an issue, and I felt quite uncomfortable.

Eventually the assistant offered to get the manager. I said yes, the manager then came. I had to explain the situation again, I had now explained it to 3 separate people, and was getting fed up.
She offered an alternative top which fitted my requirements and I was happy with this but I ended up being there for 2 hours and if the alternative top had been offered straight away by the first assistant it would have saved me a lot of time.

In conclusion the service I received from Catherine Deane was not great. The manager was good but the sales assistants seem to need more training. I didn’t feel special or cared for at any point in the process if I’m totally honest. Even the initial appointment felt a bit rushed and more like I was buying a normal dress rather than a wedding dress.

I did end up having to go to a tailor to get the skirt made tighter (which I expected) and the way I was treated there was completely different. I felt really special and they really cared about the end result, in sharp contrast to Catherine Deane.

Beautiful Designs and fabrics, but Sizing and Timing Issues

Catherine Deane has the most gorgeous separates – truly unique and elegant. I bought the Alexis trousers, the maxi jacket, and the Livi top, and I absolutely adore them. The designs are stunning and the quality is excellent.

However, I did experience some challenges. Even though I was measured in-store, I was advised to order a size that turned out to be too small. As a result, I had to exchange all three pieces for a size up. I paid for my attire on 15th March, but the correct sizes were only delivered at the end of June. This left me with much less time to arrange alterations, which unfortunately became stressful. Due to limited availability with Catherine Deane’s own tailor, I could not complete my alterations with them, which added extra complications.

Overall, I love my outfit and the designs are truly special, but I would recommend double-checking sizing advice and leaving a lot of time for any potential exchanges and alterations.

A beautiful, delicate dress

The attention to detail is exquisite! I felt very ethereal in my Neve dress, which was perfect for our outdoor wedding.

Lovely Separates

I ordered separates, a knitted top and a long skirt. The quality is amazing, the skirt is heavy and draepy. The color of the top and skirt match perfectly. The shipping is fast. My only criticism is the packaging, which is lacking for such expensive items.

The most outstanding service!!

From the moment I stepped foot in the showroom, the service I got from Catherine Deane was amazing. Not only were all of the pieces sooo beautiful, the showroom was just as beautiful. The lady that helped me choose the perfect dress, unfortunately I forgot her name, was awesome. She got me, and suggested some pieces that I wouldn’t have chosen. It’s safe to say, when I found ‘the one’ it was a very easy decision. Not only was it susatable byt also very reasonable. We saved almost £1000!! . ALL of our guests and anyone that has seen a picture of my wedding outfit said how unusual, beautiful, spectacular and so very ME it was! Thankyou again for making me feel sensational on my wedding day ❤️
