I genuinely can't recommend Amaryllis bridal boutique enough. Ruth is such a warm, bubbly person and made me feel completely supported throughout the whole process. As a plus-size bride, I was quite nervous about going into a bridal shop, but Ruth immediately made me feel comfortable and confident. Even in our initial phone call, she was full of advice, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely cares about her brides and wants everyone to find the right dress for them.

At my appointment, I honestly felt like I had a fairy godmother by my side. Ruth was incredibly good at knowing what to put me in, whipping dresses on and off me, listening to what I liked and didn't like, but also challenging me when she thought something might work. Somehow, she guided me towards my perfect dress in a way that felt both completely natural and like she had known all along where we were going to end up!

When I came back to try my final two dresses with my mum, Ruth was just as brilliant. She was really good at making sure I had space to think about what I actually wanted, while handling the different opinions in the room with such professionalism and tact. She somehow managed to make sure the focus stayed on finding the dress that was right for me, and I never felt pressured or pushed in either direction.

The support didn't stop once I had bought the dress either. Ruth recommended an excellent seamstress, was always happy to offer advice, and stayed in touch right up until the wedding. After my final fitting, I opted to have my dress sent back to Ruth for final steaming and storage, which gave me such peace of mind knowing it would be looked after and in the best possible condition when I picked it up the day before the wedding.

I genuinely felt supported from my first phone call right through to the wedding day. Ruth clearly puts so much care into what she does, and I couldn't be more grateful that she was the person who helped me find my dress. I absolutely loved my dress and the whole experience of finding it, and I would recommend Ruth and Amaryllis to anyone looking for their wedding dress.

I had an incredible experience at Amaryllis with Ruth! She has so many wonderful dresses at great prices, and she really knows her stuff! Amaryllis was the first dress shop I went to and Ruth was so helpful in guiding me to find a dress that would truly complement me. The first dress I ever tried on was one I absolutely loved, but since it was the first shop I visited and I’m a bit indecisive, I felt I needed some time to think about it. Ruth was completely understanding and didn’t pressure me at all!

After some months, I decided to return to try on that first dress again, and I was warmly welcomed back by Ruth. It was such a joy to finally pick the dress, and she always said it was the one for me—and she was right! Ruth's guidance was invaluable and she has so many helpful tips!

From the very first contact with Ruth over the phone, to the moment I stepped into the shop I felt so welcome, I wasn’t sure what to expect and didn’t know what I was looking for but Ruth was very helpful, patient and honest and before I knew it (goodness knows how many dresses later!!), I found my dress! Ruth is just incredible. Amaryllis was the fourth bridal shop I’d been to when on the hunt for my wedding dress, and I knew from the moment I tried on the first dress that I’d found the one. Ruth is personable, honest, helpful, full of advice, and just makes the whole experience so amazing from the second you walk in. She put me in touch with a recommended seamstress for my alterations, who was equally as amazing, and then they arranged between them to move my dress back to Amaryllis to have it steamed 2 days before my wedding! Along with the beautiful veil which I also got from Ruth too. Even the aftercare so far has just been fantastic with Ruth arranging for my dress to be professionally cleaned. I just can’t recommend Amaryllis and Ruth enough - I’m genuinely sad that our time together is over! Thank you so much for helping me find my DREAM dress and for making the whole experience one that I’ll remember so fondly forever.

Ruth is absolutely lovely and has outstanding knowledge and expertise! I had such a wonderful experience trying on dresses and finding the perfect one.
