Katy is an absolute diamond! After having a make up trail with another artist which ended up with me in tears, I was really nervous to try out someone else out. But I am so glad I did! From the moment my husband messaged Katy, she has been an absolute ray of sunshine. At my trail she took time to go through ideas I had and made recommendations on what she thought would work. She was happy to make tweaks along the way and was open to feedback (all of which was good!). Katy gave me lots of advice on getting my skin ready for my wedding day and provided me a full list of products which she used in the trial. On the day of my wedding, Katy was calming, cheery and make the whole morning feel relaxed. I didn’t feel like I had a ‘supplier’ doing my make up, it felt like a friend. All my bridesmaids and my mum commented on how wonderful Katy was and how happy they were with the make up they had done. I would 100% recommend Katy, she is the Make Up artist you need on your wedding morning. I hope I can find an excuse for Katy to do my make up again in the future, as it was such a wonderful experience!

She really helped me to feel at ease through all the contact I’d had. Myself and my bridesmaids all had our makeup done on the day of the wedding and cannot fault a thing! Everybody looked amazing!

Also loved the added touch of a little bag each with our lipstick colours to top up during the day and other little bits and pieces!

Words can not explain how ecstatic I am to have Katy avalibel for my hair and makeup.
She was so professional, I suffer from really bad anxiety, and Katy took it at my pace and explained everything to me, but not in a patronising way like I've experienced before.
My makeup and hair lasted the whole day in 30-degree heat, so if you have a chance to book her, please d,o you will not be let down!

I booked Katy for my wedding last week and could not be happier! I wear makeup every day so I was nervous about someone else doing my makeup. Her instagram had lots of useful information and lots of tips to help me prepare. From the second I walked into my makeup trail Katy put me at ease. We spoke about my inspiration photos and she understood exactly what I was looking for. She knew the venue well (Holmewood Hall) and gave me and the bridesmaid that came to my trial tips to help the wedding go smoother.
On the day of my wedding Katy was amazing. Despite the early start, she was chatty and helped us wake up - matching our energy as the day went on perfectly! While she hadn't met my 4 other bridesmaids before she listened to what they wanted and made suggestions when they felt a bit lost (and her skin tone matching was perfect).
She kept me calm throughout the whole process and went above and beyond. She helped get me into my dress and took some photos of us when we were running out of time. I still looked like 'me' but completely elevated and I received lots of positive comments throughout the day.

Katy was amazing from start to finish! from booking my trial make up to doing my makeup on my wedding day she made me feel beautiful, Katy listened to me when i explained what i wanted and she did that an more i would use her again definitely!

Everyone worries about someone else doing their makeup, scared they will look orange or their wrinkles will show, but Katy is a magician. She’s amazing, she’s great at colour matching, listens to what you want and helps add that extra sparkle to make you look amazing. Everyone in the bridal party loved their makeup and made me look amazing on my wedding day. She even added to the morning with her personality and even made my little girl feel special by pretending to do her makeup too. I would recommend Katy to everyone, she goes above and beyond and will definitely use her in the future, 5* Star service

Having only had professional makeup done once before, I was a bit apprehensive about having my makeup done for my wedding. However, from the moment I met Katy, I felt at ease. She listened to everything I said and then worked actual magic! I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day and it is all thanks to Katy.
Having hoped for no rain, we instead had 33 degree sunshine and it was sweltering. After the ceremony I was worried that my makeup wasn’t going to look great for the photos, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. It all stayed put and looked as good as it had when it was first done. Katy was lovely and personable and every single member of my bridal party commented on what a fabulous person she is, as well as how insane her make up skills are!
The bridal party have already said we’re planning on booking in a masterclass and I will definitely be calling on Katy for any future occasions!

Katy was my makeup artist on my wedding day - 24.08.24.
She is amazing, listened to what I wanted and was also able to advise on how to go one step further to make my makeup look amazing.
It lasted all day, in fact it was still there the next day after I was too exhausted to wash it off on our wedding night!
Katy is so kind, friendly and a genuinely lovely person. She brings so much positive energy and even when I was shaking with nerves before walking down the aisle she knew the right things to say.
She is more than a makeup artist, but holy shit she’s a good one. So glad I chose her, I got so many compliments and my bridal party absolutely loved their makeup too.

Katy was an asset to my winter wedding on 7th Jan 2022. She was so accomodating with a personal bridal make-up trial at my home, which was excellent and then on the day she also made 2 others of my bridal party, along with myself wedding ready. She even made me a beautiful Christmas voucher for my mum as I treated her to the Mother of the bride make-up as a gift. On the day Katy was friendly, professional and thoughtful all morning and even left me with a make-up touch up kit for the rest of the day. My make-up stayed put from morning until the early hours and I had so many compliments. I am looking forward to seeing my professional photographs as I was so much more confident being in front of the camera thanks to Katy's make-up magic. I really hope that I can book Katy again for any upcoming future events and would absolutely recommend her for weddings and occassions. Thank you for being a part of my special day. I had a fantastic time with Katy from Looks on Lock. My experience was 10/10. Katy was great at sharing ideas before the session via email and WhatsApp and I could tell how carefully she considered my own ideas, even sending pictures and videos of the products she had that matched the pictures beforehand, meaning the trial went really smoothly. I was thrilled that she blended and mixed products to get the right colours and styles that I wanted for my look. She achieved the look I wanted exactly while adding in  her own suggestions and expertise when needed. She was kind and helpful and made me feel 100% comfortable when I asked for changes or adaptations to the make up. I know she would have removed it all and started again if I asked her to, which was a great feeling to have. Katy was professional yet friendly and made me feel really comfortable with the whole process. I wore the make up for our engagement shoot and all day outside for a BBQ and it lasted brilliantly, throughout 3 meals and lots of drinks, heat and sweat! The product list she sent means I can buy the products and keep them forever as a memory and I was impressed at the range she used.
I had eyelash extensions for the day but Katy was kind enough to leave me some stick on ones to try at a different date which eliminated any worries for me about what they might look like. She offered lots of suggestions for the wedding morning and I know I could message her at any time before then and she would be friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend her to anyone and my mother and sister can't wait for their make up with her too!
