I’m finding it really hard to summarise my experience because I can’t thank GeGe’s salon enough. The whole team went above and beyond in the lead up to my wedding day and then afterwards, especially Gemma! Everyone made me and my bridal party feel so at home and at ease, nothing was too much for Gemma to do. Initially we had a telephone consultation to talk about my vision, we were then invited in for our hair and make up trials where we had nibbles and some Prosecco! Before the wedding I had my eyebrows and nails done. It all started to feel a little real once this was done! Gemma arrived promptly to my family home to start on my bridal party’s hair and make up! We didn’t have a photographer at the house initially but Gemma definitely took on that role and captured some really special moments and those all important TikTok transitions! After the wedding, as part of the package I purchased, I was given a complimentary facial which was the perfect close to our wedding celebrations. Since getting married I have been back to GeGe’s a few times and I can promise that you have a customer for life (including the other family members that I have brought along to book in!).

Gemma paid such close attention to the little details and was so supportive before, during and after the wedding!

Gemma was a brilliant help for my wedding - she was organised and efficient and we were ready ahead of schedule!! Great communication and she and her assistant were warm and friendly and put us all at ease. She was accommodating when I changed my hair vision few weeks out and I absolutely loved my hair which stayed all day. Would 100% recommend!!

I found Gem at a Wedding fair in 2023. I'd had good experience with Gems salon year's ago, so decided to have Gem for my wedding hair and makup - but I don't do things by halves. I decided I wanted to change my hair colour from very dark to blonde - I booked in with Gem, and hours later, I was blonde and l loved it. Months later, myself and my bridesmaids all came in for a fabulous morning of hair trials. My bridesmaids hair looked beautiful, and for the first time I tried clip-in hair extensions in my short whispy hair, which again I loved. I didn't think I'd be able to cope with long hair, but another few months later I took the plunge and decided to have micro rings
hair extensions for my wedding. I'm so in love with it, I decided to keep them in now.
In my years of going to hairdressers, I can honestly say I would never go anywhere else now. Coming to Salon of Gems is like sitting in your mates living room - a cuppa tea, a laugh, a rant and a good pamper.
My wedding day was made so much more special with having Gem doing hair and makup for myself and my 6 bridesmaids - with a 5.30 am start, Gem knew exactly what she was doing and what needed to be done. This isn't just a job for Gem, but a love and a passion for making each and every one of her brides and bridesmaids feel so special. Thank you Gem for being you.

Great fun and a lovely experience all round. My make up was natural as requested and as someone who doesn’t wear much makeup was so relieved it didn’t look caked on.

Gemma is very professional. She made my sister look absolutely beautiful. She is not only amazing at what she does she becomes your wedding day BF keeping the bride calm and making sure the day runs smoothly. I also had the honour to have my hair and make up done by Gemma and all I can say is WOW if I knew about her last year I would have flown her out to Italy for my wedding day 100%! My best friend was getting married and I was one of the bridesmaids. The bride, myself and the other bridesmaids all had a hair / make up trial done before the wedding. The trial was soo much fun we all had our hair done how we would potentially like it on the wedding day. Fast forward to the wedding day and Gemma was amazing! She done my make up beautifully I was soo pleased with the finished look! Also my hair was lovely! even better than the trial style! Overall I would highly recommend Gemma not only is she friendly, helpful and professional but she also has a great eye for detail. She even filmed us doing the ‘before and after’ edit which was 10/10!

I had my wedding in August and Gemma was amazing throughout the whole process!
I felt at ease the whole time during the trial and on the day, she also provided a lovely charcuterie board which is always a bonus!
I had so many wonderful comments on my hair and make up on the day and truly felt a million dollars!
I would highly recommend to absolutely anyone with an upcoming wedding!

We had the best time! Gemma made us all feel super calm with her fun TikTok videos and content she gave us with the sun shinning all morning we were able to get ready outside and Gemma was so amazing making us all feel absolutely amazing I loved my hair and makeup I also had a balayage done with Gemma at her salon before my wedding as well as a manicure and pedicure and it all just made everything flow together so nicely
it was exactly as I wanted and all my bridesmaids felt like superstars including the teenager 😃

I recently got married and booked for 9 people to have their hair and makeup done. It was great to have a package that covered all our requirements with stress free service in the location of our choice. Gemma and her team were excellent and gave good advice.

What can I say I met Gemma at a wedding fair in the summer when planing both mine and my daughters weddings. From the outset Gemma stood out from other hair and makeup stylists at the venue. Her understanding and professionalism was on point right from the start and not afraid to say no to her new clients.
Gemma had interesting ideas which showed her experience in this field both hair and makeup. We were both taken with her and visited her salon to have our trials in a comfortable environment enjoying tapas and bubbles whilst experimenting ideas. This showed us her attention to detail and what was to come on the day and I didn't disappoint....

Gemma and her team did hair and makeup for myself, my mum and my three bridesmaids and she was absolutely wonderful. She’s full of energy, ideas and joy. We all loved the final looks which didn’t fade all day!

Everything was perfect from the start. Gemma made me feel so at ease with her extensive knowledge of the trade. She was able to support both myself and my bridesmaids with decisions when we didn't really know what we wanted and guide us in the right direction. She made myself and my bridesmaids feel so beautiful and confident. On my wedding day she was such a support system helping me when things got to stressful or my nerves were going crazy. It really felt like she was part of the wedding party. We had such a laugh and good chat with her. Gemma even helped get my little girl ready for the big day by doing her hair and makeup for me as I was running out of time to do it myself. My daughter loves telling people she was a 'big girl like mummy' getting her hair and makeup done. It's something I will always treasure and wouldn't have been possible with Gemma.

GeGe's salon was a perfect choice as a vendor for our wedding. The package I chose included the trial, eyebrows and nails before the wedding, and a post-wedding pamper session, which I am really looking forward to.

There were 8 (!) of us on the day, and Gemma and Holly did an incredible job of the bridal party's hair and make-up. It was a really fun morning with everyone feeling at ease despite the stress of the day. I highly recommend the salon to anyone looking for a bridal hair and make-up provider.
