I’m finding it really hard to summarise my experience because I can’t thank GeGe’s salon enough. The whole team went above and beyond in the lead up to my wedding day and then afterwards, especially Gemma! Everyone made me and my bridal party feel so at home and at ease, nothing was too much for Gemma to do. Initially we had a telephone consultation to talk about my vision, we were then invited in for our hair and make up trials where we had nibbles and some Prosecco! Before the wedding I had my eyebrows and nails done. It all started to feel a little real once this was done! Gemma arrived promptly to my family home to start on my bridal party’s hair and make up! We didn’t have a photographer at the house initially but Gemma definitely took on that role and captured some really special moments and those all important TikTok transitions! After the wedding, as part of the package I purchased, I was given a complimentary facial which was the perfect close to our wedding celebrations. Since getting married I have been back to GeGe’s a few times and I can promise that you have a customer for life (including the other family members that I have brought along to book in!).

Gemma paid such close attention to the little details and was so supportive before, during and after the wedding!

From the first time I contacted Gemma, she was super friendly and clearly knew her profession very well! After booking, she was in contact via email, making sure that I was well supported and that she knew my vision before the trial. Myself and my 6 bridesmaids went for our hair and trial in Gemma's Redbourne salon and it was amazing! The care and detail she put in to it was above and beyond - there was prosecco, orange juice and a lovely platter of nibbly bits. We all had a fab time and all loved our hair and my makeup - this just cemented that I had chosen the right person!
In the run up to the wedding, Gemma was in contact and produced a detailed timeline for the wedding morning which even included allocated time for photos. (She advised me to get matching PJ's for the bridesmaids and I'm so glad I listened! Everyone loved them and the photos looked great!). The pre-wedding pampering at the Salon was wonderful - my nails have never looked so good!
On the wedding morning, Gemma was absolutely amazing and it felt like she was on of the bridesmaids with all of the help and support she gave. Because of her planning, things ran exactly to time, we had amazing PJ photos, we both watched (and cried) as my husband arrived at the venue, she gave me a top up kit with all the essentials in and she even helped me get into my dress! We all loved our hair and makeup (Gemma even recorded a step by step make up guide for one of my bridesmaids) and we all looked and felt beautiful - which is reflected in all of our photos.
I honestly can not recommend Gemma enough, she goes above and beyond the role of a hair and makeup artist. She has been absolutely amazing and I'm so glad she was part of my wedding morning!

Gemma is so much more than hair and make up! Not only did she make me look and feel amazing on my wedding day, she helped with all the little details. She helped me into my dress, helped my bridesmaids get into theirs, gave us advice, put on my dads cufflinks and buttonhole, took photos of us and captured the most beautiful video of me and my dad during the first look.
I had a trial before my wedding and again, Gemma gave great advice and made me feel so comfortable.

I honestly cannot recommend Gemma highly enough! She swooped in like an absolute hero the day before my wedding after my original makeup artist fell ill, and she truly saved the day. Despite the last-minute chaos, she walked in with the calmest, warmest energy and made everyone feel instantly at ease.

She did makeup for six of us—bridesmaids, mum, my Flower Girl and me, and every single one of us looked incredible. My daughter is 6 and had the best experience ever having her blush and lips done! Gemma was a star with her!

She listened to exactly what each person wanted, added her own expert touch, and somehow managed to make us all look flawless while still feeling like ourselves. I’m particularly difficult as I have Body Dysmorphia and have never liked how I look.. but for the first time, I felt truly beautiful!

The makeup didn’t budge all day (and well into the night!), even through happy tears, hugs, dancing, and everything in between.

Beyond her talent, she was just a dream to have around on the morning of the wedding—so helpful, so funny, and so wonderfully relaxed. She slotted into the room like she’d been part of the plan from the start, keeping the mood light, the timeline smooth, and the stress levels at zero.

Gemma has been transforming my hair for the past year leading up to my wedding. She is professional, kind and honest. She has been like a silent bridesmaid to me in the past year, helping me build my vision both in hair and make up, providing sound advice on how to look after my hair and always there when I have questions. Gemma has given me huge confidence in myself, her hair work has been out of this world. I was worried that as my hairstyle was very untraditional that no salon would be able to achieve it but she absolutely smashed it!! She has been so kind honest and patient with me leading up to my wedding and it has felt like I've made a true friend and at times an agony aunt 😂. She is like an extension guru, everytime I have them redone they look amazing! See before and after pictures for my very first set of extensions. On my wedding day, Gemma executed the look we had been building all year so well it made me happy cry! She went above and beyond to make my day perfect, she even helped my Man of Honour do up my corset and made it look perfect. Just perfect work, I cannot thank her enough for making my vision become reality. Gemma's team are also incredible, they always make me feel so welcome, listen to my concerns and we have a laugh every time I visit. The girls are all so friendly and professional. Emma is fantastic at eyebrows and nails and has given me huge confidence with this as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart girls! If you want a salon to reassure you, work with you, give honest and real advice and listen to exactly what you want then these are your girls ❤️

Gemma and her team were amazing from start to finish. With myself, 6 bridesmaids and a few family members wanting hair and make up doing. I was dreading finding someone who could accommodate us. Gemma was organised, professional and made me feel so at ease. Everything was scheduled and went perfectly. Price was amazing and communication was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.

I met Gemma at a wedding fair at the venue we had picked to get married and straight away knew I wanted her to do my hair and make up for my wedding. She was friendly and kind.
I started to get my hair done with her before the wedding to get my hair colour the way I wanted.
On the day of the wedding she didn’t just make me look like a princess, she made me feel like one.
She also kept me calm with all the chaos in the room and reminded me my mum was there to help with my son.
My mum also had her hair and make up done by Gemma and loved it.
Gemma also helped when it came to getting in my dress and with the corset back. She managed to take pictures of me at the alter and walking with my dad.

I can’t recommend Gemma enough. She is amazing.

Gemma made us all feel super calm with her fun TikTok videos and content she gave us with the sun shinning all morning we were able to get ready outside and Gemma was so amazing making us all feel absolutely amazing I loved my hair and makeup I also had a balayage done with Gemma at her salon before my wedding as well as a manicure and pedicure and it all just made everything flow together so nicely

What can I say I met Gemma at a wedding fair in the summer when planing both mine and my daughters weddings. From the outset Gemma stood out from other hair and makeup stylists at the venue. Her understanding and professionalism was on point right from the start and not afraid to say no to her new clients.
Gemma had interesting ideas which showed her experience in this field both hair and makeup. We were both taken with her and visited her salon to have our trials in a comfortable environment enjoying tapas and bubbles whilst experimenting ideas. This showed us her attention to detail and what was to come on the day and I didn't disappoint....

Great fun and a lovely experience all round. My make up was natural as requested and as someone who doesn’t wear much makeup was so relieved it didn’t look caked on.

My best friend was getting married and I was one of the bridesmaids. The bride, myself and the other bridesmaids all had a hair / make up trial done before the wedding. The trial was soo much fun we all had our hair done how we would potentially like it on the wedding day. Fast forward to the wedding day and Gemma was amazing! She done my make up beautifully I was soo pleased with the finished look! Also my hair was lovely! even better than the trial style! Overall I would highly recommend Gemma not only is she friendly, helpful and professional but she also has a great eye for detail. She even filmed us doing the ‘before and after’ edit which was 10/10!
