Melissa is a professionally trained hair and make-up artist who creates bespoke bridal looks to make every bride feel their best on their wedding day.
Melissa specialises in bridal hair and make-up across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and the Cotswolds. As a freelance artist, she is also happy to travel throughout the UK and Europe to create the perfect look for your wedding day, no matter where it takes place.
She trained at the prestigious London School of Make-up, where she qualified in bridal make-up, photographic and media make-up, and hair. After gaining invaluable experience working at high-profile events like London Fashion Week, she decided to specialise in the bridal industry. Since then, she has continued to expand her portfolio to include fashion and editorial work alongside working full time in the bridal industry.
To stay on top of the latest trends, she had the privilege of training with some of the best in the industry, to ensure her skills and techniques are always up-to-date.
With over 8 years of experience in the bridal industry, she’s not only honed her hair and make-up skills and found her style for effortless bridal hair and makeup, but also gained a deep understanding of the wedding planning process. Her goal is not just to make you look your best on your wedding day, but to make you feel your best, offering guidance on everything from other trusted suppliers to the little details that make your wedding day truly unforgettable.

Makeup
What is included in the wedding package?
Your wedding package will be customised to fit your wedding morning best.
This is usually a bridal trial, and then hair and makeup on the wedding morning for any / all of your bridal party!
How far in advance should I contact you?
Anytime!
But if you want to secure your day with me I would suggest getting in contact as soon as possible so I can make sure I'm available for your wedding morning

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
There is no maximum! If you have a large bridal party, don't worry - I have a team of equally qualified hair and makeup artists who will come with me to help get everyone ready on the big day!
Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?
No
What are the forms of payment?
I require a 30% deposit to secure the day with me. Remaining payment is then due 1 week before the wedding

Stunning hair and makeup! Highly recommend Melissa for your wedding!
Melissa and her amazing team, Scarlett and Steph, did my wedding hair and makeup and they were absolutely brilliant! From the very beginning, Melissa was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was warm, friendly, and very professional. We had a wonderful trial where I got to see how the hair and makeup would look on the day and talk through any changes I wanted made for the day.
On the wedding morning, I had seven bridesmaids, myself, and two moms and Melissa coordinated everything flawlessly. The timeline ran perfectly, and everyone was ready with time to spare, which meant we could enjoy the morning without feeling rushed or stressed. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun and a huge part of that was down to the seamless way Melissa and her team worked.
A few weeks before the wedding we had to change our getting-ready location, which meant reworking the schedule. Melissa was so flexible and accommodating with the change! She quickly adjusted everything to ensure the morning still ran to plan.
The hair and makeup were absolutely stunning! I felt so beautiful! Melissa and her team really listened to what each person wanted, and the end results were even better than I had hoped for. Our looks held all day and night long and the photos look absolutely perfect!

The most incredible Wedding HMU! (26.05.25)
Melissa was absolutely incredible from the first trial to the day of the wedding. Not only did she make everyone feel so comfortable on the morning getting ready, but she also created exactly the look I wanted; taking great care with listening and altering my make up and hair. I couldn't recommned Melissa highly enough with the beautiful work she did on the hair and make up for myself and the bridesmaids, that lasted from the first photo all the way through to the final dance. Thank you so much Melissa!

Wedding hair and makeup
Melissa was my hair and makeup artist for my wedding recently. She was absolutely wonderful! She did a brilliant job for me and my sister creating an elegant but natural look. Everyone at the wedding loved the results and it lasted all day long despite the hot weather and all the dancing. Melissa was very accommodating when after the first trial I decided to completely change my hairstyle and she managed to find me a slot to do a second trial at short notice. She is a really friendly and warm person and it was an absolute pleasure working with her. We both loved our hair and makeup and I felt really beautiful on my wedding day! I strongly recommend her!

Perfect wedding hair & makeup!
Melissa and her team, Lauren and Jess, provided hair and makeup services for my, my mother, my grandmother, and four bridesmaids for my recent Oxford wedding. They were fantastic! Firstly, they were extremely prompt, which was so important to us since we had a morning ceremony and not much time in the morning to get ready. Second, they really listened to what each woman wanted and delivered. Everyone's hair and makeup looked fantastic and lasted the whole day - even with some serious dancing! I've never seen my mother more excited about her hair - she had a beautiful updo with a hat and glamorous, yet still fresh and natural makeup. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day thanks to Melissa's work - she was able to incorporate my crown/headband and veil in a style that held up all day (and my hair has historically not held curl at all - this lasted two days!). I also loved the makeup - soft but still glam. Third, Melissa's communication was really strong - I had some travel issues which meant that I was unable to make my original trial time, but she was able to reschedule me quickly. Finally, I really appreciate Melissa's calming demeanor - my mom and I were a bit stressed in the morning, but she helped to ground us and just make the morning fun and upbeat. She was reassuring but also just so professional — we felt we were in the best hands.

Wow, wow, wow!
Melissa is AMAZING. She is an incredible hair stylist, so patient, a calming presence and goes above and beyond her duties! I honestly could not recommend her enough, she even got me in my wedding dress and earrings as my hands were shaking too much!!! Thank you so so much.

Always the best!
Melissa did my hair and make up for my wedding almost 8 years ago, and I have booked her for several events since! She is so skilled and so professional, and made me feel so comfortable and confident on my special day. I would not (and have not!) hesitate to book her again!

The most perfect hair and make-up artist!
Wow, where do I start!? I can not recommend Melissa enough - she really was the most perfect hair and make up artist any bride could wish for! She helped make me, my four bridesmaids, the Mother of the Bride, and Mother of the Groom, all feel our very best. Melissa, and her incredible colleague Lauren, were able to perfectly re-create all of my bridal parties desired looks, taking so much care to help them feel both natural and special. All of the bridal party looked flawless for the whole wedding (even at 1am after lots of dancing!) and we had so many compliments from our guests about our hair and make up. Not only is Melissa an incredibly talented professional - she is also such a lovely and kind person, and she makes you feel completely relaxed and at ease throughout (it really was like having another friend join us for the wedding morning!). She went above and beyond from the very moment I first reached out, including: staying longer to touch up my make up after some first look tears; squeezing an extra make-up slot into the morning timetable with no stress at all; and showing my bridesmaids how to remove my veil while keeping my hair beautifully in tact! I have honestly never felt as beautiful as she made me feel on my wedding day (and don't think I ever will), Thank you Melissa for making it so special - I will forever be grateful for you!

Amazing from start to finish!
Melissa was absolutely brilliant doing mine and my bridesmaids’ hair and makeup on my wedding day in June. She is so talented, efficient, professional and friendly, and she really listened to what me and my bridesmaids wanted pre wedding and the day itself, and was more than happy to make any tweaks or adjustments.
She also went the extra mile in helping with my veil, getting me into my dress and stayed to ensure any touch ups could be done before the ceremony. She even helped touching up my fiancé's black eye!!

Melissa is wonderful!
Melissa made planning my wedding from abroad extremely easy. She had a flexible schedule and it was easy to do my trial with her and she was very open to feedback and made great suggestions. My hair and makeup came out stunningly on the day as well as my bridesmaids and my mom! Melissa was so easy to work with, quick, and made everyone look their best! I highly recommend using her!

I would recommend Melissa to anyone planning their wedding
I felt very lucky to have Melissa as my HMUA for my wedding. She did an amazing job and created exactly the look I wanted, whilst being a calming and fun presence to have around on the morning.
Melissa was very responsive and flexible throughout the planning stage, and she also did the hair and make up for my mum and bridesmaids, who all loved their looks.

Stunning make up and hair!
I hired Melissa and her assistants to do the hair and make up of 7 of us on the morning of my wedding. From booking communication through to my trial and on the day, Melissa was nothing but professional and friendly.
Myself, bridesmaids and mother of bride & groom were delighted with the make up and hair they did. It held up all day and we got so many compliments. We also ran ahead of schedule in the morning so avoided the dreaded last minute panic to get ready - thank you Melissa!
