I had the pleasure of having Maya do my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment of my inquiry to my trial and then the big day, she was professional, kind, and incredibly talented. Maya recommended products to help my skin be the best it has ever been. My makeup looked flawless and my hair stayed perfectly in place without feeling stiff. Maya really listened to what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable — I truly felt like the best version of myself. Maya went above and beyond helping me into my dress! If you’re looking for someone who’s skilled, calming, and genuinely passionate about their craft, I can’t recommend Maya enough. Laura at Wishbone and Comb was absolutely everything I wanted in a bridal hair and makeup artist! She was professional yet friendly and listened to what I wanted as well as offering suggestions to ensure longevity of style throughout the day and what worked with my hair and complexion. She absolutely nailed the natural woodland fairy vibe that I wanted, ensuring that I looked and felt amazing on my wedding day. I chose Wishbone and Comb after having a similarly great experience as a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding. Laura was also great at responding to my emails and ensured I had a great trial to make sure we all knew what we were doing on the wedding day. On top of that she was great company on the wedding morning itself, making sure my 10 year old sister was well looked after while we were waiting for our turns for hair and makeup. Price wise for the service I received, I was more than happy and felt that they were affordable within the market they work in. I would thoroughly recommend the company. From the moment I messaged Jodie on instagram, I knew Minxies was the right hair and makeup team for my wedding. The minxies team were always very quick to respond and always very helpful. Jodie and Abi were so lovely, and listened to everything I wanted at the hair and makeup trial. They helped me to relax and have a laugh on my wedding day, when I was very nervous. They had 9 of us ready in plenty of time, for photos before the ceremony. My bridesmaids and my hair and makeup was perfect all day and still looked perfect until the early hours of the morning. I really can't recommend Jodie and Abi enough, If you want perfect hair and makeup and a laugh on your wedding morning, Mixies is for you .

We used Janet’s service for a teen prom. Janet was professional, informative and communicative. We provided ideas for makeup and hair prior to her arrival. She is such a lovely lady, who immediately put my daughter at ease. Throughout the process Janet would stop and show the progress, and ask for input. She was so calm and relaxed, even when slight changes were asked. Both hair and makeup were exactly what had been asked for. I would highly recommend, and would definitely use again. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you Janet!

Gia was very responsive to any of my queries. We had a trial and I was pretty nervous as it was my first time ever having my makeup done. She asked me what I wanted from a bridal look and understood straight away. She made my skin look beautiful and healthy. I was glad I had picked her for my wedding! She did the makeup for my bridal party, too. We all looked amazing on the day and it lasted all day. Would definitely recommend.

One of the biggest concerns I had for my wedding was how I was going to look – I’m not typically one for big hair and make up, and don’t really have a lot of confidence in front of a camera so I was really anxious as to how it would all pan out. I didn’t need to worry – from the initial consultation to the day of the wedding Charlotte was there answering all my questions with professionalism and a big smile. Polite, punctual, honest, and truly amazing at what she does – I can’t fault her from start to finish. Both my bridesmaids and my mum looked amazing. Thank you so much Charlotte, I was looking at the photos from the day and honestly thought I was pretty for the first time in a long time and that’s all thanks to you.

Jess was absolutely lovely, she arrived promptly and asked every question to makes sure she got exactly what you wanted. Completely comfortable to be around and no ask was too much for her! Our makeup for all three of us was absolutely lovely she nailed it and she stayed until we were in dresses to finish touching up. Quality service and would recommend to anyone getting married, prom, bridesmaids the lot! I would book again and we can’t thank you enough!
