Hey, I’m Matt and my journey in this crazy world of weddings started with my own big day back in 2019. Let’s be honest, my wife planned the day and I just had to make the vision work to the budget. However, one thing we didn’t budget for, or think we needed on the day, was a videographer. We couldn’t have been more wrong. On the week of my wedding my dad became ill, was admitted to intensive care, and missed our day. Fortunately, a friend took a small video on the day on her phone including messages at the end to my dad who could rewatch it whilst in hospital. Sadly, my dad passed away a month after my wedding and despite him not being in it, that video is something that I clung to and rewatched more than I ever thought I would. I vowed then to use my skills to make sure other people didn’t make the same mistake I made; try to keep my prices affordable so that budget isn’t the reason for not having a video of your big day and capturing those memories.

The name Mad Mash Weddings, comes from my first dog, Hunter. His racing name was Mad Mash Jake and I wanted him to be a part of this journey. I lost him to cancer in 2024, so I like to think a part of him and my dad both live on through the legacy of this small business and is why I will always give it my absolute everything to make it work and deliver the best for my couples.
Now my journey isn’t all sad, it has brought so much joy and helped me through the tough days. So far I have captured more than 100 weddings, met some of the most amazing people, shared laughs, shared tears, been the extra bridesmaid they didn’t think they needed, danced with them on the dancefloor, and captured so many memories resulting in winning Best Newcomer in the South West in 2024 at The Wedding Industry Awards.
I love what I do and I hope that reflects in my work and the experience you will get from me from now until long after the dancefloor has cleared at the end of your big day.

You need Matt!!!
He is so kind, so easy to get on with and has the most beautiful creative eye. Matt captured moments for us that we didn't see ourselves and the joy you get from seeing people who arenr usually together having a gorgeous time together is priceless. I have voices on film I would never normally have. I can rewatch cuddles with people that I would never be able to see normally - he's just magic.
Matt is the perfect blend of being there and at the same time completely blending in...to the point I felt so bad that I hadn't spoken to him by the end for what seemed like hours! We knew he was good but when we got that video back. Just wow. I cannot explain that feeling of seeing moving footage of all the people you love most in this world there with you! Matt went above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of on the day and in the way he so gorgeously edited the footage. We have so many little shots, the speeches, a social media AND full video now. We just couldn't believe how lucky we were to find him!
I have had many a watching party with so many people desperate to see and not been bored of it! He truly is a professional and I absolutely cannot fault him. Please, if you are on the fence, you have to book video with Matt. You won't regret it for even a second!

Absolutely incredible videographer
Matt is a chilled, down to earth, fun individual who makes people feel at ease at a drop of a hat. We honestly didn't even realise he was recording us at some points in the day as he just fitted into the atmosphere and environment in an instant. Everyone loved him, especially our two girls.
Matt was punctual and polite and got stuck in instantly. He made it seem effortless. He even sent us our first look videos around 2am which was incredible as he had left us at 9pm. This certainly shows how much time and love he puts into his work. I really feel he's under selling himself in his pricing currently as he puts SO much into his craft.
On recieving our final videos words cannot begin to describe how happy we are with his work. The full day video is beautiful and being able to watch the full speeches back whenever is amazing. The highlight video is fantastic.
We are so excited and over the moon with our videos and cannot wait to be able to look back on these in all the years to come.

A consummate professional from start to finish, his quality of work is incredible. He managed to blend into the wedding and almost made you forget that he was there. We got a huge amount of complements from our wedding guests regarding how personable Matt was.
